Rather, the museum's interactive and informative displays lead visitors through Tuscaloosa's development through a transportation-focused lens. I'd say it takes about an hour to go through the whole exhibit, but that could change depending on how much you're into reading. There are displays that will appeal to both kids and adults, but those who have lived or visited Tuscaloosa for years without knowing the region's history will appreciate both the renovated building and exhibits the most. $5 admission with discounts for students and seniors. The lady that took care of us was very nice and sweet. She took her time out to explain the different levels. My daughter is under three so she went to the basement level where they have entertainment for kids under the age of three. She definitely had a ball. I visited earlier this year to watch Tuscaloosa County High put on a production of Beauty and the Beast. The inside looks like you're sitting outside the doors of a beautiful castle, faux brick lining the walls, balconies, and the ceiling painted like the sky. The little lights embedded in the ceiling come on when the lights go off so it looks like your gazing at the stars. The seats are by no means five star but they aren't intolerable either. They have a concessions area with typical theater prices. The biggest negative is the parking. It can be a real stinker and you may have quite a walk.
