combo plate with longaniza, relleno negro, conchinita, and poc-chuc
    Sean C.

Three of us came here for a late lunch/early dinner (they close at 6). I had one of the the combo plates which consisted of longaniza, relleno negro, cochinita, and poc-chuc - everything was delicious! Also we washed our meals down with margaritas that were some of the better ones we've had in merida - not to sweet and we could actually taste the tequila, delivering a nice buzz buzz after a few. Service was very attentive and I'm looking forward to returning for another meal

Authentic Yucatecan cuisine with flavors I have never tried before. Every dish was better than the last! It's my first time visiting this part of Mexico and the residents of Mèrida did not disappoint . If you want real local flavor do not miss this gem!

As authentic as it gets!! Papadzules were spot on with fresh made corn tortillas smothered in a green pumpkin seed sauce and tomato pulp!! The Pok Chuc's citrusy flavor came through, especially the Naranja Agria, a soury version on an orange- black beans and yet again, corn tortillas make this for a delicious meal!! We have been here many times and it never disappoints- always fresh, tasty and amazing service!!

Panuchos de Cochinita Pibil was the best we ordered they were delicious it was a tortilla filled with beans and topped with Cochinita Pibil I highly recommend this plate don't miss it. Then we had a pork plate called Poc-Chuc a very traditional dish of the Yucatan cuisine it was good but I was not impressed with it, my mother and Auntie had Pollo Ticuleño they loved it the portion was huge. The restaurant has Live Music, traditional music was played while we ate. The habanero salsa was delicious adding a great flavor to the food. The place is spacious and plenty of people does visit this location, customer service is good. I recommend this place I will be back to try different plates and experience new flavors.

Mr Humberto Interian impressed us with his excellent service. Thank you very much.

Mr Humberto Interian impressed us with his excellent service. Thank you very much. We enjoyed the panuchos of tinga, relleno negro and cochinita Pibil. For desert we had Caballero Pobre, delicious. We will come back again.

Whoa, this place is popular!…read more Hubbers and I are so glad we came through the exact time we did because if we waited ten minutes, we would have had to wait another 20. We were seated and given menus immediately so they're efficient with their time! Since I'm a first timer, I wanted to take my time with the menu. While waiting, they gave us complimentary chips with 2 kinds of bean dips, pico de gallo and red sauce: all very tasty! We've had to ask for a second serving! I've had huevos motulenos a few times, so I wanted the other version: huevos divorciados de la chaya maya. (Fine, I'll admit, I got it because I thought it was funny.) All I asked is if it was spicy (it's not) and that's all I know about the dish. So it was almost like a surprise dish for me. HUEVOS DIVORCIADOS DE LA CHAYA MAYA: I left it up to Hubbers to pick which ones I might like. He chose relleno negro and pipian - and he chose well! Broke the sunny side up yolk and mixed it in the relleno negro, added with the crispy texture of the chips: YUM. Did the same for the pipian, with its nutty flavor and creamy texture. Even the pumpkin seeds added taste. Sooooo goood! I made sure to empty that plate. LOS 3 MOSQUETEROS YUCATECOS: Hubbers' choice. This is a pretty plate! I got to try the pureed plantain (a first for me!) and that was tasty! Had a teenee taste each of the three dishes and also delicious. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 4. PARKING: I didn't notice any parking lots, so can't comment on that, but there is street parking. Could be a challenge. OVERALL: 4.50 (bumped it up a little.) And the cherry on top: there's a lady making fresh tortillas. And they are delish! A crowd formed outside waiting for seating. I truly understand why. They really are popular! An amazing first run! Highly recommending!

Delicious Healthy and Vegetarian Restaurant in Merida!…read more I visited Savia Vegana for lunch one afternoon during my stay in Merida this November. I loved the unique décor inside the restaurant. They serve a different menu of the day every day with soup, entree and fresh juice included. You get to choose between a few different options for the soup, main meal and juice. I ordered the garbanzo bean soup and vegetarian lettuce tacos, along with a Jamaica drink. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and fresh. I paid a total of 75 pesos for my complete meal, which was very inexpensive and a great value for what you get! The restaurant serves vegetarian/vegan dishes made from fresh and organic ingredients and healthy twists on traditional Mexican foods. The service was excellent and my server was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was really chill, relaxed and peaceful, which made for a very enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fresh and healthy meal in Merida. I cannot wait to return here next time I find myself in Merida!
