The ladies at the Sentinel are extremely helpful and kind. When I came in Tamar, Shameka, and Lauren were in the office. They were all so very nice and helped me with all the questions I asked and more!! They all greeted me with a smile and everyone that worked there ( the people that work in the back or other offices) were warm and friendly. The environment is positive, productive, and polished. I was placing my ad for my fictitious business name in the newspaper. This was my first time doing it so the ladies explained to me how it works and so on. I would say when you go make sure to be patient because they are busy at times being that the LA Sentinel is one of one. CUSTOMER SERVICE ZERO. If I could give the Sentinel less than 1 star I would. I was a subscriber and from day 1 there always seem to be a problem with me receiving my paper. After numerous calls and not receiving the paper 4 out of 5 weeks, I called and spoke to the person who answered the phone, refused to give me her name, and hung up on me, twice, after I requested to cancel my subscription & refund me for papers missed & papers not yet received. All they wanted to do is keep sending a message to the delivery people??? Out of frustration I canceled, without being refunded and I hope Mr Bakewell's other businesses do a better job of customer service. As for the young lady who was so rude and refused to give her name (you know who you are) I hope you find yourself seating on the curb, sucking your thumb, wondering "what happened". Peace read more
