OMG BEST FOOD IN BARCELONA!!!!…read more I came here for my last meal while visiting Barcelona and I was so happy we did. We were a little tired of eating tapas so we decided to have a nice steak dinner. Even though there were only 2 reviews on Yelp for this place, Trip Advisor had a ton so we made a reservation online of the restaurants website. The food was absolutely amazing! I started off with a glass of the house wine and my fiancé had a tap beer. The wine came in a huge glass and the pour was so generous! Definitely would be considered two glasses of wine in NYC! They also gave us complimentary olives. Yum! For our dinner we shared the steak and 2 different kind of potatoes which were both delicious. My favorite part about the steak was the chimichurri seasoning on the steak. It was the best thing I have ever tasted. I even had to ask the owner/chef what it was! We also shared the grilled vegetables and they were out of this world as well. We finished everything but the portion size was great. I was so happy we found this little gem in Barcelona and if I go back to Barcelona I would 100% go back to eat there!

The spot was cozy and not too loud, which was nice. Just had 2 starters - the salad and octopus,…read morebut both were sadly over salted. The salad was fresh with a nice combination of nuts and goodies (which more justifies the price). The octopus was quite dense and not very tender, although the flavor was good. It took forever to cut! Wish I could've tried the steak - it looked amazing. For what I had, seemed a bit pricey.

Delicious! Funky atmosphere! Good prices! Nice staff. Wonderful Vermut!…read moreI would recommend this place for groups of friends. It has that sort of pre-partying vibe. Came here with 3 others on a lazy Saturday evening for an early dinner. We had a dog with us and the guy invited us right in! There isn't a terrace or back patio, not sure if they always allow dogs or just because they weren't too busy. Our group was ready to eat but unfortunately the kitchen wasn't open for another hour. After speaking with our server (who also seemed like he could be the owner or manager), he said we could order some things for a pica pica (small bites to share) while the kitchen was opening. I've worked in the food industry and this was very kind of them to accommodate us, especially since we were so early. So we started off with a round of housemade Vermouths (vermuts), nachos with guac, and fries with cheese sauce and bacon. Holy guacamole- YUM!! Guac hit the spot, the nachos really were just tortilla chips, the bacon cheese fries were addicting! I've never had a better cheese sauce, usually I strongly dislike them but this one was perfectly balanced in flavor. Oh I'm dreaming about those cheese fries and crispy bacon! Okay, maybe they were so amazing because of our hunger from beaching all day, but still they were tasty. I would say those two appetizers split amongst four people were perfectly portioned. Also we all agreed that their Vermuts were the best we've had in Barcelona. Not too sweet, flavored nicely and garnished with orange and olive. They were 2 or 2.50 each. For our main meals we ordered two portions of the "Parillada para dos personas". This was a board of assorted grilled Argentinian meats including 3 types of steaks and 2 types of sausages. It also came with fries which were seasoned perfectly with some sort of spice/herb blend. The meat board was accompanied by two sauces: a garlic aioli and a chimichurri. SO, so good!!! The meat was cooked a juicy medium to medium rare, very distinct flavors but all so delicious! There was plenty of food. I think the price was about 24 or 26 euros per meat board. I suppose you could split the parillada among three people but it splits really nicely for two. Our waiter was awesome! I would not describe him as friendly at all, but he took care of us and made us feel welcome. I would return in a heartbeat. -- Update-- This place is still awesome. Great service, you can tell the staff actually care about the place and watch out for little details. Bacon cheese fries are still a must. Their other drinks are delicious! Caipirinhas, daiquiris, etc.

Gorgeous Cave-Like setting right in the heart of The Gothic Quarter. For food we got: - both Peach and Red Sangria's - maybe the best in Spain. 15 Euros so not cheap - Pan Con Tomate - first time having this dish -- great, - Iberian "Pluma" Acorn Fed Pork - so tender and amazing! - Cod (Bacalao) - perfectly baked I must give a shout out to our amazing waiter LUCAS who spoke excellent english and gave some perfect recommendations. We got here at 7:30 and it was quiet -- but quickly filled up and was totally full by 8:30. It's more expensive than most restaurants but for that you get quality service, superb food, linen napkins, and soft jazz music. We wanted to come again the next night but it was totally booked! Trip Advisor rates this as #57 (as of May 2026) but I think it should be in the top 10. Book a table early guys -- this restaurant will not disappoint you!

A far cry from the Sangria served in tourist spots, this is the real deal. BF loved the Island Sangria. Highly recommend Pluma Iberica for pork eaters. Served with a delicious peanut sauce. Lucas took excellent care of us. First class waiter. The restaurant is in what appears to be a cave. Delightful atmosphere. Very classy with linen napkins, etc. A little more expensive than some other local restaurants but worth it. Outstanding value. Be sure to reserve a table in advance.

Chalito is a chain restaurant in Spain that specializes in Argentinian milanesas, which are thin breaded meat cutlets topped with all kinds of good stuff, and I knew I had to try one. I ordered the Milanesa Mallorquina with sobrasada, Mahón cheese, honey, and a mozzarella base, and it was absolutely delicious. The mix of savory and sweet worked so well together. I also tried a slice of my friend's serrano pizza, and that was really good too. Another thing I liked was that they offer their own special aiolis to choose from. As somebody who loves extra sauce on the side, that was a huge plus for me. The food impressed me so much that I ended up going back to a different Chalito location in Madrid just to try the sausage and chili oil pizza, and it was just as bomb. Their portions are so huge I didn't have room for dessert on either of my visits, but their cheesecake looks amazing, I'll have to grab a slice on a future visit The service was excellent, and I appreciated that they had menus in both Spanish and English. The restaurant is also very spacious, which made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. You do not really have to stress about getting a table or making reservations, which is always nice when you are traveling. Overall, Chalito is a great spot if you want a satisfying meal in Spain without all the hassle of planning ahead. I would definitely recommend it whether you are visiting or already local.
