Tapas of Spanish Omelette with Iberian Chorizo.
    Kelly W.

I'm writing this review mainly because there are no current reviews. Wow was a late choice based on food they served, ratings, distance from our hotel and price. Glad to say we were pleasantly surprised. Dishes ordered: Cubano sandwich, Schnitzel sandwich, Ham & Cheese sandwich (hot), and a frittata called Tapas of Spanish Omelette with Iberian Chorizo. Everything looked and tasted great !!! Note: big food amounts. Great steak fries. Even enjoyed local beer on tap. From those who were here and those that arrived while we ate dinner looked like locals who frequent this business and for me that says a lot about the food and service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Come and enjoy.

Searched on Yelp! for a reviewed Tapas place in the vicinity and plotted towards Wow. It was easy to find and walked right in. Being Spain, it was rather early in the evening for dinner (8pm), but the place was open with a few other folks dining and drinking as well. Ordered up a couple beers and perused the Tapas list. Wow has menus in English. We ordered up a few items: Manchego cheese, Hot roasted peppers; calamari and chicken nuggets. The Manchego was served thinly sliced, drizzled in olive oil with cracked peppercorns. Delicious of course. The calamari was okay. Not bad. Not outstanding. Same with the chicken fingers. They were good with the exceptional Thai spiced, sweet sauce served on the side. The highlight was the Hot Roasted Peppers (see picture). The were not hot as in spicy, but rather, served hot. They are slightly smaller than a Jalapeno, roasted, in a light olive oil, and sprinkled with sea salt. Their flavor was full...sort of like a poblano. One plate was not enough...so two were soundly consumed. The atmosphere of Wow! was great. Wooden floors, dark tones throughout, brought alive by modern creative lighting, good piped in music and very friendly staff. Would recommend.

It really justifies the name! Very good food, large portions and very polite service. Definitely worth coming back again and again

I wanted a good old fashioned burger and this place is THE PLACE to get it in España! Bacoa was everything I ever wanted and needed in a burger at this time in my life. We went to the location on Ferran, which is close by La Rambla. If it's your first time there, you fill out a piece of paper to place your ordered. You check what kind of meat, bread, sauce, sides, fries or extra sauce you want. I ordered the classic burger with bacon, caramelized onions and their truffle sauce with a side of skinny fries. Absolutely delicious!! This burger reminded me of Super Duper burger in San Francisco and that's saying something because I hold that place in high regard! The meat was cooked to medium rare perfection and tasty - meaning it was seasoned well. The caramelized onions added the right amount of sweetness and the bacon was bacon, lol. I can't get over the truffle sauce and how well it paired with the burger as a whole. I feel like the sauce helped to elevate the burger into amazingness. The fries were hot and crispy when they came out and not over salted. And it doesn't hurt that most of it is organic! I wish I had more space to order one of their desserts but I didn't, womp womp. If you have a chance to eat a burger in Spain, don't go to Burger King, go here!

Not the caramel- the chocolate one. I didn't try that. But the chocolate cheesecake was absolutely amazing. La Cehtral has a wonderful hip vibe to it, the people coming in are always happy, and they seem to leave very satisfied. Nicki, our waitress, doesn't serve in a pure function as a waitress because you order and pay online, or your order with golf pencils and a Spanish or English menu. But I would recommend you use the QR code, because it gives you a few more options, like cooking the burger medium or well, and things like adding an egg are included online. I don't know if you have the ability to use the picture I posted here of the QR code, but that would allow you to look at the menu and see the current prices. But be careful not to order unless you're sitting in the restaurant - understand that the QR code is keyed to that wood block, which in this case has the number three on it and that's what she uses to deliver the food to your table.

The storefront is bright and welcoming and the inside is the same. The workers spoke English and gave us multiple ways to order. The burgers themselves were different than what we're used to in America, but were delicious, and the fries were fantastic. I would pass on the onion rings though. Overall, a great change of pace if you're tired of tapas when in Barcelona.

We grabbed the only table open when we arrived at 1 on a Monday afternoon. We saw a Cava Sangria (a first) and had to try-light and delicious! They also had Majou Beer (from Malaga) on draft which is hard to find outside of Malaga so had to have one. We ordered a couple of starters and a couple of what I'd say were bigger plates. The pork belly marinated in lime was tasty but the fresh Mackerel stole the show! The Truffled eggs with foie and mushrooms was finished table-side and was amazing. We missed that the Cuttlefish had squid ink-no matter, so light and exquisite-only complaint would be to have more cuttlefish. Service was engaged and friendly from start to finish.
