My Husband and I are staying a few Days in Albany Texas at the Hereford Motel! We were looking for a place for Breakfast, and were so happy to find this place open to have an early breakfast! It was delicious, I had the number two plate with scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes, and unsweetened tea! Every bite tasted so good, and I had ordered salsa for eggs, made them taste perfect! That salsa was excellent! The waiter was wonderful and an older gentleman from the kitchen came out to make sure we were happy! I let them know we both loved the meal, and I asked about the salsa, he said they made it fresh each day! I can't wait to go back to try the Mexican food! The place is cozy and had many Locals coming in to get take out! That is a wonderful sign! I highly recommend this place! The Prices are great too! read more

We called in an order for the Supreme fajitas for 2, everything was perfect and delicious. From reading other reviews we asked about the habanero hot sauce, and yes it was awesome as well. Their regular hot sauce is good, but the habanero is on a whole other level. Best Mexican food I've had in a while. Worth a trip to Albany to visit. read more

You have got to try Juan's Street Tacos. They are NOT on the menu. I order mild because I'm a wimp. Their queso is still the best around. read more

Some good mexican food and different specials all week long. Liking anything different, I tried my first mexican chicken fried steak. Instead of covered in gravy, covered in chili and melted cheese. Chips and salsa were good but the burritos with queso were below expectations. It was bland ground beef rolled in a tortilla with some bland melted cheese-food product over it. Granted a burrito is basically beef rolled in a tortilla, but this was far below par. And the rice and beans were below expectations as well. Nothing too special but probably the most consistently really good place to eat in Albany without spending too much for lunch.

The customer service was excellent. The food was delicious! It was crowded from the Fandangle, but we did not have to wait long for a table. The guacamole is awesome! My favorite is the complimentary salsa - great flavor! read more

We stopped to eat here before a basketball tournament, and was pleasantly surprised. The chips and salsa were fantastic. Hubby got the burrito with queso on the lunch menu. The meat was lightly seasoned, and he said the rice was good. I had the chicken fajitas for one. The chicken was flavorful but dry. It was $12 without rice and beans, so my meal was basically grilled chicken and onions. I didn't realize it was an additional charge for a side of rice and beans, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. read more

We decided to drive over to Albany from Possum Kingdom Lake. We had seen this place and it had good ratings, so we decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. We had a half order of the cheese nachos. Really good! I had their special of the day, the Street Tacos made with chicken. My husband had the Enchilada and tamale plate. Both were excellent. Very bad experience. The owner is not nice. He was the only one working when we ate there. The service was TERRIBLE! We did not get any refills and the food took almost an hour to get! We also left my sons glasses on the table when we left by accident. We went back to get them and the owner lied and said they were not there! read more

I have eaten here a few times. EVERY, every, every time I check out, the owner charges way more than it says on the menu and never offers a receipt. The food check is never left on the table for one to see. The owner is rude and we didn't get refills. Had to beg for a "go" container and then I was told "just a minute" while he waited on 3 tables as I stood there waiting to pay. I am really surprised they are still in business. Was looking for breakfast in Albany and found this restaurant. I highly recommend! Wife said it was "crazy good". The bacon breakfast burrito is the best we ever had. Pancakes were excellent. We will definitely be back and will try there lunch and dinner offerings. read more

Found this place online, they were open, and although from the outside you are not sure what to think, the food was some of the best mexican food I have had...and I love mexican food. Had the spinach mushroom enchiladas and my husband had a cheese and beef enchilada...all of the food, from the very fresh chips and salsa to the beans and rice were extremely tasty. Just finished an excellent breakfast. Breakfast Buritto was very tasty and huge. $3.99. My husband had Moe's omelette with homemade biscuits. $7.99. The couple we were with had Huervus rancheros and bacon & egg, American style.. All got great reviews. The staff were all very friendly and appreciated the business. I had low expectations going in ( partially BC of the tiny size of the town and the un-exciting menu choices) but left very happy. I loved their chicken stuffed poblano- no grease, great ranchero sauce. The beans were awesome. Went to Albany today and ate lunch here after doing some business in town. I got the shredded chicken chimichanga on the lunch menu with queso on top. It was great. Staff was awesome. My family and I live in Albany and every time we go (which is about once a week) we are alway having great food and I don't even like Mexican food but I love this place and if you haven't tried the chicken fajitas you are missing out so come on over people in other areas and try the chicken fajitas and also they have great queoso with taco meat so come on over and try some chips and queoso and chicken fajitas read more

This is the best Mexican food ever. Fresh ingredients and great service. My favorite is the spinach enchilada plate with a guacamole salad on the side. The chicken enchiladas are also very good. Well worth the drive, but we always call ahead to make sure they are open. read more
