From day one, everyone was very welcoming--both the coaches and the students. Since starting, I've lost weight and learned a lot. I also tried the boxing class with Coach Angel, who is a great instructor. About a year in, I decided to take a break, and stopping my membership was very easy--no hassle at all. I came back this month after about four months off and tried the jiu-jitsu class, and I'm glad I did. You truly get what you put in here. All the coaches are very professional and well trained, and you're not just a number--you're part of the CAMMA team.

I am officially leaving and terminating my business with them due to an incredibly toxic, unprofessional, and uncomfortable environment created by the coaching staff. Training here has made me feel singled out and mistreated. Coach Adi frequently relies on backhanded compliments and passive-aggressive behavior that creates a toxic dynamic. Furthermore, Coach Juan has actively tried to use personal information about me against me, completely breaking the professional trust you expect when signing a long-term financial agreement. The breaking point for me was a highly inappropriate and uncomfortable experience while sparring with Coach Juan. During a drill where he was not wearing a cup, he explicitly instructed me to drive my hips directly into his. Because of this, I was forced into unwanted, highly uncomfortable physical contact with his groin area. I immediately communicated how disturbing this experience was to two other students in the class. A gym should be a safe environment built on trust, respect, and professional boundaries--especially when lock-in contracts and significant monthly fees are involved. Unfortunately, Coach Juan and Coach Adi have made this space feel unsafe and toxic. I can no longer recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a safe place to train.

From day one, Josh made all the difference. He has an incredible ability to meet people where they are, offering guidance that is both supportive and constructive. No matter your skill level, he makes you feel comfortable, capable, and motivated to improve. What sets him apart is that he genuinely cares about his athletes and their progress. He challenges you to be better while always encouraging you along the way. His feedback is thoughtful, specific, and focused on helping you succeed rather than making you feel discouraged. Beyond his coaching skills, he has built an amazing community. The atmosphere in every class is welcoming, positive, and supportive. Everyone encourages one another, and that culture starts with him. It's rare to find a coach who is not only skilled at teaching the sport but also intentional about creating an environment where people feel respected and included. What began as something completely outside of my comfort zone has become an important part of my life. Boxing has improved my life and I credit so much of that to Josh and the environment he has created. If you're considering trying boxing--whether you're a complete beginner like I was or someone with experience and no matter your goals --you won't find a better coach.

I have been going to AMAF since February and it has changed my life. I am a student here so I know…read morewhat I am talking about. Negative reviews here are complete BS, all of them. None of them is the fault of AMAF. This is not a gym. I repeat this is NOT a gym. So, if you say I wanted to go to the gym and blah blah, you are a very special kind of stupid because the name says it, Adrenaline Martial Arts and Fitness. Where did you find the word Gym? If want to do weights or if you want to "workout" after work, stay away! This is not for you. We sacrifice work and family life, as do our sensei and staff, make plans, show up, wear our gears and learn how to be disciplined and defend ourselves. Not how to look pretty, for that call 1800-LOOK-PRETTY. Here we partner up and practice martial arts, serious martial arts. This is NOT a gym (for the third time). Most importantly this is an extremely kid friendly environment. Parents are always present and everywhere, coaches are attentive and caring, and the facility is safe and family oriented. Bring your little prince or princess and let them learn some of the most valuable lessons in life: discipline, courage, courtesy, self-defense, teamwork, self-esteem, etc. (Some of the coaches here are law-enforcement. It's that safe) I have seen some of the fiercest little-fighters and politest kids here. Give your kid something to carry with them forever you wont regret it. Since Feb I practice under sensei A. He is awesome, hardworking, and very involved. He is patient but will also kick your butt if you sit there like a bag of potatoes. Do the sitting at home, here you get your butt moving. Good news is you will drop weights like you have never dropped before. I lost 7 pounds in two weeks, and it was a record for me* so far (I also drastically changed my diet and had not had a single sip of soft drinks, a bite of fast food, or a single piece of fried food since Feb). All thanks to my sensei and the group of dedicated people that encourage me to show up everyday so they can kick my ass for a good hour straight and the staff that are friendliest and the bestest ;) *It is not recommended to lose more than 2 pounds per week. It is unsafe. I did not try to lose that weight. I actually fed myself very well and did not starve myself and kept my body completely hydrated. I just had more than 7 hrs of intense workout and it paid off.

I'm writing this review to bring awareness to other parents who may be considering martial arts…read moretraining for a child who is on the Spectrum . My intention is not to criticize the quality of the program, the facility is well run, the instructors are skilled, and the overall training offered is great. One of the main reasons I chose Adrenaline Martial Arts was because they are listed by the I.E. Autism Society as a facility able to support children with these needs, and I was also referred to them by IRC. Because of that, I felt confident that my son would be entering an environment equipped to work with him. Unfortunately, based on our experience, the academy is not fully prepared to support children on the autism spectrum. Even though I was upfront during the screening process about my son's disability and specific needs, it became clear over time that the program was not structured in a way that allowed him to succeed. While the staff was never unkind, they didn't seem to have the tools or training necessary to work with children who require additional support. I am sharing this so that other parents of children on the Spectrum can make an informed decision, and in hopes that the academy will take a closer look at how they screen new students with disabilities and how they can better support them moving forward. Adrenaline Martial Arts is a strong program, but it may not be the right fit for every child especially those who need specialized attention or accommodations.
