I parked behind the Soriana on 2nd street, and walked the passageway toward Ave. Revolucion. This restaurant sits right where the passageway ends. The restaurant is relatively small, but has a decent amount of seating, and I've never had issues with wait times here. I made a quick pit stop and then sat down to order my food. I got a plate of eggs over medium, machaca (shredded beef), red chilaquiles, and hash browns. Much like years prior, this plate came out very tasty. The coffee and the lemonade on mineral water were smooth, the coffee strong. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. They made sure I was well taken cared of. This place is a gem. I recommend them the next time you find yourself in Tijuana's Zona Centro.

But, it wasn't long at all to get a table on a labor day, late-morning. (A feat which would be impossible in Denver.) The menu is a QR code on the table. And, unfortunately, it takes you to a menu that is a picture, so you can't use Google Translate to help decipher the menu descriptions. But, we made some educated guesses and ended up with the Chilaquiles Sampler (with a big over easy egg on top) because of all the Yelp rave reviews about it, and something like Enchiladas Jeffitas, but I can't find it on their current online menu. It was queso fresco enchiladas topped with lettuce and jalapenos and red sauce. I had ordered it with chorizo instead of queso fresco, but the queso fresco was a happy accident because it was divine.
