My only complaint was my tacos had the steak a little over cooked but I also forgot too ask for the steak medium.But again the service was awesome and all the food was good I enjoyed it and would love to come back sometime.i also had a pink colada and it was quite yummy. Worst shrimp salad, it had no presentation and no unique flavor. The Carne asada was dry and no flavor. The salsa tasted like out of a can or jar of salsa, no unique taste. Over charged for what you pay in quality and taste of food. If this is the best place in Longview then it needs more competition. read more

We went there there for lunch. The building looks like an old dry cleaners. The interior had some pretty colors in the tables and the chairs. The place was fairly busy. I had the #1 lunch which is chile relleno . My friend had the enchiladas. The relleno and the rice were pretty tasty. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the enchiladas. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was friendly. The server never came back to refill the water. He did check in to see if the food was acceptable. Ok, they may not have the fastest service, but the food is always very good. This has become the best Mexican restaurant on this side of the Columbia. Just an example: I ordered two orders of the quesadilla to go, when I got the order it was very well packaged, sour cream and guac. we're protected from being smashed, and chips and salsa we're added at no charge. This was my first to-go order and from the experience I will get to-go again. All they need to do is work on tweaking there service pace and this will be a 5 star review. read more

I am giving this restaurant a single star. Their food is great, and the salsa is made daily so it is never exactly the same. For this great. BUT today we were there from 3:45 pm till 4:30 pm. There was our small group of 3 adults and one toddler and one other group of 3 ladies. Otherwise even the bar was empty. We constantly had empty water or soda, we had to practically beg for extra salsa. The food while good took forever to arrive. The waitress kept disappearing. My friend and I went there a couple weeks ago and were very disappointed. The service was terrible right from the start. I understand slower service when it's busy but it was dead, that should have been our first clue. The chips were stale when we finally got them! Get this they didn't bring water I had to get up and go ask for some. When they got around to taking our order another couple people came in. I ordered a soft drink and guess who got their drinks first. I could understand it if we were being jerks but we were trying to be patient. I had to ask another server for my beverage, he was nice and helpful. When are food got there it wasn't hot perhaps warmish at best and not good. I was so hungry I ate anyway. My meal alone with beverage was 20 buck for two thin and I mean thin steaks and small chicken breasts. My friend, even though starved only ate a quarter of her 10 dollar meal. My boyfriend and I chose this Mexican restaurant because I saw online that they served a favorite of mine that is not often found; El Cordoniz or Cornish Game hen. We went on a Saturday night and were surprised that it wasn't busier, only 2 other tables were full, so we picked a nice quiet spot out of the way from the other diners. Our server was friendly enough, and promptly brought us not only our chips and salsa, but a dish of homemade beans that I could taste had been authenticly prepared with real manteca.......yum. My boyfriend ordered the t-bone steak and I, of course orderedthe Cordoniz. Our meals were delicious, my boyfriend was a little disappointed that his steak was so thin. I explained to him that it is the norm for latin dishes, in Mexico there are not as many food regularions and so most meat is cut thin and cooked thoroughly. That is a tip for diners; ask for your "carne asada" or steaks cooked "mediana" or medium if you notice it is on the dry side. My Cornish Hen was delicious, marinated in some type of lime chipotle sauce, and perfectly cooked. The rice and beans were standard, and it was a great dinner overall. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOS PEPES as a number one Mexican spot in Longview-Kelso area. I will be back. read more

I've been twice since the recent move. The first time was for lunch during the week. There was one waitress and only one other group when we arrived. It took a long time to get any water and then it took a long time for her to take our orders. On this occasion, the food was good, just very slow. On my second visit, lunch on the weekend, the restaurant was busier than before. A couple that had come in after us got water and ordered before us. We had to stop the waitress to ask for water, and even then it took her several minutes to bring it. I decided to order an item I hadn't ordered for some time, choriqueso. When I've had choriqueso in the past, it's been very good, very cheesy and plenty of chorizo. This time, it looked and tasted like baked beans that you buy in a can, with a small amount of cheese melted on top. I had to dig through the plate to find a single bite of chorizo. The waitress never once came back to check on us until she dropped off our check and the rest of our group was finished. I told the waitress that the choriqueso tasted like canned baked beans and she told me that they don't use canned beans. She asked if I wanted a new plate or to look at a menu to order something else and I said no. She also advised that I ask for more chorizo and less beans next time. My appetite was ruined and at that point I was not up for eating anything else. She seemed irritated that I wasn't pleased and was somewhat rude during the exchange. I was very disappointed with these past few visits, as in the past we've enjoyed this restaurant. read more

I love their pollo ala crema is awesome, I always ask to add mushroom and they are very accommodating. I love that they offer beans with the salsa and chips. Sometimes the Staff is just a little busy and the service slides down hill, but over all this is one of my favorites in Longview. read more

Zero stars. Tonight's service was horrible. Drink order was wrong, no silverware until the order came, and that was forcibly dropped on our table for us to distribute. Further, no drink refills, and no one checking on how the food was. No service. Customers shouldn't have to pay for a staffs lack of staff. I felt like it was my fault for being there and for the servers business. Terrible feeling. People were getting up and leaving because of the lack of service while the only server was in the bar. Usually this is a great place to eat, however after tonight...They have lost a customer. Sorry, but you should never make your customers feel that they are a burden. read more

The worse "nachos" I have ever had. One layer of chips and some meat stuff on top. Normally I would have sent it back but the kids got into it first. We ate it with a fork. The reason it won't be my first choice again, and it used to, is the owner. I've never seen her smile. I feel like I'm bothering her. The other waitress was quite nice though. read more

Good Grief!!....Tonight I ordered a chicken burrito with green sauce and a chili relleno to go.....The cook didn't even bother to take the stem off the pepper!!....He poured green sauce all over everything to make a soupy horrid mess!!.....The green sauce was actually running off the plate!!......The pepper was really bad, it tasted like it was spoiled, and looked like it too!!....I have ate at this restaurant a number of times and the food just seems to keep going down hill....There was no way I could eat that plate of slop!!...I tossed the whole thing in the garbage.....Since when do you pour watery green sauce over everything on the plate!?!.......I should dig it out of the garbage and show it to the owner or manager, they would be shocked to see such a crappy meal being served to a customer!!......The burrito was pure slime!!.....They will never see any of my money pass through that pig poke again!!.....I was really mad when I realized I paid good money for that crap!!.....I used to eat there all the time when they was OB Highway......And I loved their food then....They need to take more pride in orders to go!!...... read more
