Driving south on I-5 from Seattle to Portland, I took the time at a rest stop around Chehalis to scope out a good food and drink stop on my forthcoming travel. Ok so how did I never notice this place in all the times I've come to camp in this area !? I know how they must of had a remodel as they say they been there 15 years and I definitely never looked that direction before . The bar and cafe was so cute and had lots on their menu . All the staff we encountered was friendly and attentive.The little store attached also had awesome gifts , but pre warning not a lot of beer so get that first then come look at the cute things lol they do have good selection of wine though and couple liquor bottles should you need any . I'd definitely be back here for either brunch or dinner . read more

In an era of political correctness and the death of the dive bar, this place is a blessed step back in time. The food isn't gourmet, but it's good, and the bartenders are sweethearts. The kitschy patio with its giant fire pit is frequented by traveling motorcycle clubs and locals alike. This is a great place and I hope it never goes away. read more

Food is delicious. Service is super slow and hit and miss. I wouldn't recommend coming at busy dinner times. Quite a wait. But if your patient and want to have some beers or cocktails while u wait. Outside area is ok. Fire pit when it's cold is nice. read more

Probably one of the tackiest dive bars I've ever been to and the food was great! You have to try the Fir burger. Great burger. Just don't look into the facilities where it is cooked. The locals are loud and drunk and the atmosphere is hyper casual. If it's nice weather then sit outside. It's a nice woodsy feel. Great place to stop for a bite to eat and a beer. read more

Touring the mountain and stopped for lunch at this small amazing piece of the mountain resort. We had a veggie pizza and the guys got a gumbo burger. Parking can be dodgy, yet any inconvenience disappears as we step into the main room. The staff always greets with a warm smile and service to match. Robins' wonderful personality has affected her crew, an eclectic and devoted staff who makes everyone feel welcome. The food is beyond what one might think from a tiny kitchen yet every meal I've enjoyed was exactly as ordered and spot-on consistent. Robin brings music from the big city as well as the local area. Outside there sits a large concrete fire pit and ample seating for all. For old friends and meeting new people this is a great place for you to bring your first date or your wife of many years. Being out in the sticks with a bunch of rednecks at a bar that serves food, ahh I'm back at home it feels like. Monday is taco nights, where with any 2.50 drink you get some free tacos, and you get 2 taco for a dollar. Jack in the box, you got some competition here! But i went ahead and got the burger since it was recommended to me, i ended up ordering a mushroom burger. The burger is fine nothing thrilling, the biggest disappointment though is the canned mushrooms, it left a sour taste that you knew was canned and bleh. The other no refills on sodas? man i didn't know places like that existed. But service was awesome, food is ok, just average in my opinion. read more

Cold beer ,great staff , and best of all ...... NO STICKY TABLES. I hate when your elbows stick to the table or bar. Also has a deck for seating outside on a sunny day. Very biker friendly may it be bicycle or motorcycle. Stop in when you are near. Your sure to leave with a smile. :-) read more

After spending a few years suffering through ultra-hip bars of Portland this place was a breath of fresh air. Really the best local-dive I can think of. I came here after fishing in the area. Everyone inside was welcoming as could be. Got to stand around the outdoor fire and hear stories about the old times and see a bunch of other patrons fishing picts. Really fun crowd. Moved to area in the last few months and found this place thanks to Yelp. It has that small town dive bar but nicer. Got the double bacon cheeseburger- delicious. The tots and they were nice and crispy. Hubby got the onion rings and they were the good type- beer batter. Good tarter sauce too. We go for the experience of going to a place off of the beaten track and stop when our bikers friends are there. I like their outside 'playpen' with the fire pits, it has a relaxed feel like going to a friends house for a BBQ on a hot summer night. This place is nothing fancy, the food is mediocre (we like the pizza best if we eat), service poor and the drinks are hit and miss for the most part. I've had my worst drink ever at this place and have learned I do better when I order beer or wine. We're pretty regular there too, dropping some hefty hard earned bucks weekly) and when I asked to have a bit more alcohol put in my OJ I got a lecture on how they mix their drinks and I could pay another $4.50 to get another shot. If it was my place and the customer is a regular, I'd splash a bit more and consider it goodwill to say the least. The food prices are not a deal and are in keeping with what you'd pay at other places I guess, but we don't go for the food. We go for the atmosphere and friends we see there. You're on your own for the most part, and you'll wait awhile to get a drink sometimes. I like it when they have good music too, then it does feel like a party.
