It aggravates me when they're carrying on a conversation with another clerk or a friend while waiting on me and then take my money without even saying thank you at times. However, a bottle of brand name Tylenol with only 20 pills was almost $9.00. Yikes! For price reference, dollar tree has generic brand Tylenol with 40 pills for $1.25. I believe Dollar Tree has brand name Tylenol for about $4.25 (maybe 20 pills). It was within walking distance of where we stayed, so we stopped by a few times. Very kind family atmosphere!

It is obviously an older Super Market. However, it's clean and well stocked. WIDE aisles! You don't have to weave around people! Prices were reasonable. Picked up Pork Tri Tips for $1.39/lb on sale. The meat looked pretty good, and they sell Harris Ranch Beef. Produce was well stocked and fresh. Great place for a country market. I'll go back!

Otherwise a good store, with ample parking and good selection. Come for the convenience and produce. Be prepared to stand in a long check out line.

I know that sounds like a strange word to use for meat on shelves, but everything looks so good and so fresh, and the way they are laid out so neatly it's just very pleasing to the eye. You will see that in my photos. Also the prices are quite reasonable considering nowadays prices. And one more thing that makes the meat department special is that they have nice, thick bags to put the meat in so that they won't bleed all over your other groceries. On top of that, as you'll see in the photos, all of the cuts of meat are listed on the bag, which is really helpful. There are two butchers there who you can ask questions of or have meat sliced or cubed or whatever you want to do with it. Now that's a special service. The other thing I also love about this store is that someone has an eye for design. Every single item on every single shelf is facing forward and perfectly stacked, nothing out of place. They must patrol the place just to tidy up. (I guess I have outed my OCD tendencies with comments on how well everything is stacked and displayed. ) And last but definitely not least was Courtney, my checker. She was not only very friendly and made eye contact with me and smiled to greet me when I approached her check stand, but she was also fast as lightning checking me out, and I was really impressed with that. I do wish there had been a box person there to help box my groceries though, because she and I had to do it, and I am an older lady and I have trouble lifting things. I also would've been nice to have them come out to the car with me and lift them into the car. SaveMart always offers this service and I really appreciate it. Maybe they were just shorthanded today? This is the only reason for the first stars instead of five. And again, take into account they might've been shorthanded that day. The photo with the little green fruit is just because they all looked like they were smiling at me and I thought they were cute. The prices are high for a lot of items but not for all, but so are everyone else's prices.

I've driven by it for years and have no clue only because there's never been a reason for me to go to Aldi. If there was a reason, then I'd know what it is I think by the photographs and by peering in the window, it looks like it might be a grocery type store. I did peek in the window as I drove by. I looked inside. It said that you have to pay a quarter for a grocery cart but you'll get your quarterback when you turn in your cart. I wonder if they charge for bags I wonder if you can get your dime back if you return the bags when you're done I don't know.

As she is in her 80s, the long distance trips are fewer and more far between, so the mere fact that this place is within close proximity of her home gives me peace of mind. You can find all of the basics here. Firewood, smokes, cold drinks, basic groceries, toiletries and other general merchandise - if you can think of it, the Country Store probably carries it. Service has always been friendly from what I can recall. There is always a smiling face behind the counter, and the staff are normally good for quick conversation. I've always been treated like family here. It's a nice feeling. The store is smack dab in the middle of a very small, rural town. You likely won't come across it unless you are intentionally in Squaw Valley. If you are here though, you can't go wrong.
