The tooth split because I didn't have a crown put on it ‍. Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous about having this done because of an very rough extraction I had done in the past. This experience with Dr. Eckhart was nothing like my past experience. He explained the procedure clearly and showed me exactly what was about to happen. Because he shared with me the "what" and "why" about the procedure it really set me at ease. I had a tough case because of the root canal done years ago. He was in and out in about 25 minutes and I didn't feel a thing! I felt a little pressure but no where near uncomfortable. He also put in an implant, which took about 2 minutes, so I will be able to chew on that side of my mouth. All of this happened yesterday and I am pain free today! The extraction I had in the past from a different doc I couldn't eat for a week. I can't believe how good my mouth feels. All because Dr. Eckhart cares about what he does and the patients he works on. Repeat business is the best review any customer could give, I won't go anywhere else!!

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Stender and his staff. I chose this practice because it…read morewas the only one of 2 in the area that accepted my health insurance. It's about 25 miles away but worth it to be covered for oral surgery. When I went to Dr Stender's office for the initial consultation the staff was very nice. During the consult, the doctor and his assistant were cheerful. I felt like I was with friends. Dr explained the procedure in detail but in layman's terms. His receptionist told me the approximate copay which was within a few dollars of the actual amount. I left confident that what seemed like a major thing- crown lengthening (bone shaving), was a minor operation. It turned out to be routine and minor oral surgery. In fact, I drove myself to and from the office on the day of the surgery. Dr Stender skillfully applied local anesthesia. It didn't hurt when he inserted any of the needles nor when he did the surgery. I was only there for about 45 minutes from parking my car to heading back home. I had no pain afterwards and I did apply a cold pack for the first couple of hours per instructions. I never took any pain meds and returned a week later to have stitches removed. I had no discomfort or complications. I highly recommend Dr Stender and his associates. He always used my preferred nickname which is more than I can say for some of my co-workers :-) if you're looking for excellent service from competent and personable professionals look no further.

In that time I saw at least 5 different dentists at the location I went to. I had about that many different hygienists. I had 2 crowns installed, one which did not fit without grinding down the top until it was almost flat. After that food kept getting stuck between that crown and the crown above, eventually causing tooth decay under the crown above the "almost flat one". The top tooth had to be extracted in January this year because the dentist said it was a good possible it could not be saved and I was not ready to spend the money to try and save it and the possibility of it needed extracted in the end. Now, after only 3 years the poorly fitted crown has a cavity under it again (decay under the original crown). The original crown had been there for 10 years. So, was crown not properly sealed underneath? I have learned the hard way less expensive dental care is not the best route. I don't want a different dentist and hygienist almost everytime I go for a checkup. Wish I had read the posts on Yelp before I went there.

I called my insurance company Met life about the claim and Met Life said they have never received ant claims from Aspen dental. Called Aspen again and went over everything about my insurance and they said they will submit yet it has never been received by my insurance Met life. This is pathetic. Don't trust this gang - I believe they are attempting to rip people off rather than do the proper paperwork.
