I have no problem picking up a package if necessary, but the system now says it's "ready for pickup at the pickup location" without providing any actual address. I checked the track and trace page, the company website, my order invoice on the Shop app, my email, and even my mailbox. Nowhere does it say where this supposed pickup location actually is. To make matters worse, when you search online there doesn't appear to be any dedicated pickup location for this company at all for Melbourne! So I'm left with a package that supposedly exists at a place that hasn't been identified anywhere. It's genuinely concerning that a company operates this way. Basic logistics and communication should not be this difficult when the purpose of the business is logistics.

They did have some accessories here, but I wonder... I might be wrong, but I think I might have seen one of the products before on ebay for a fairly low price - meaning that this may not be a great place to buy goods, as they may be cheap imported goods that are marked up. I had a look at mice, and there were a few available at various prices -I get the feeling it's a place to go when you just want something now, and you don't mind paying $10 extra to get it, and with computers, that's a common perspective.

If you are in the market for diamonds or some decent jewellery think outside the ring box and…read moreinstead of being lured into a retail jewellery store it almost always pays to get quotes from a manufacturing jeweller. The advantages of going to a manufacturing jeweller are numerous: you can get something designed and therefore unique; it's hand-crafted; the quality of the metals, stones and craftsmanship is superior; you don't pay mark-ups and you can build a life-time relationship with the jeweller (rather than a store assistant that may not be there when you need something next time). And these jewellers can remodel old jewellery as well. Some people shy away from manufacturing jewellers because they believe they can be too expensive. In the world of jewellery you don't always get what you pay for so why not spend an extra couple of $100s to get the better stone, setting and metal than paying for a cheap mass produced piece? Believe me - she will know the difference! But that's not saying that if you are on a budget the jeweller will refuse to work with you - they will. Another advantage is that you will almost always get internationally recognised certificates for any precious stones (for insurance or re-sell purposes) from a manufacturing jeweller. Ken Anania of Anania is a reputable manufacturer and design jeweller and acknowledged as one of Sydney's best. He ticks all of the above boxes and the business has been going since 1965 when his father started it when he specialised in opal. Guys like Ken are in business for a long time because of reputation (and he has been in the business since he joined his father in 1978), because they have a clientele that not only go back but refer others to him. Engagement ring - no worries - select the stone and the style and if you can't pay upfront just give him a deposit and the ring will be kept in his safe until the big proposal. New jewellery doesn't also need to be an option. Ken can remodel jewellery by using the stones and metals in the old to handcraft something new. Stuck for inspiration? Ken also has jewellery already made and for sale in his showroom and it is beautiful (it sometimes features in Vogue magazine). You don't need an appointment but of course if you need Ken's opinion and need to work on a design with him then setting a time after the first consult is of course advisable. I can't recommend Ken more highly for handcrafted jewellery and expertise.

Being a watch junky with far more Swiss watches than I need but not near as many as I want, I thought of a somewhat obscure brand called NOMOS that is a small hand made, in house movement timepiece manufacturer located in Glashütte, Germany. So doing a little research I discover that the only authorized NOMOS dealer in Australia is this one in Sydney. After getting to Sydney my girlfriend and I go visit this shop which is small and on the 10th floor of a office building downtown. They mostly specialize in high end watch repair and selling some used vintage pieces. But they also feature the full NOMOS line. I was only there to look and check prices but the saving was far too tempting and we ended up getting the classic Bauhaus design his and hers NOMOS Tangente hand winders. The experience was excellent and the woman helping us was very knowledgeable and had us try on anything we liked and ask lots of questions. Truly an enjoyable experience and now we have some memorable souvenirs from the trip. Totally worth a visit if you are into vintage time pieces or the NOMOS brand.

What I especially liked about them was that they were helpful, friendly and willing to help identify how to drive down liability costs, in addition to letting me know if I was signing up for any unrequired charges - the guy asked us where we'd be riding and pointed out that we wouldnt run into tolls, and wouldnt need to get the toll-inclusive package. They also had the foresight to tell us that there would be a large party renting multiple vehicles, around the same time the bike was back the next day, and just come by about 30 minutes later. Little thing, but it saved us the aggravation of hanging around and waiting. Will definitely be going back here.
