You can ride a horse, a bike or your legs. You can hear symphonic melodies made by 100s of frogs and see tons of wild life, did I mention there are sand dunes? "The Oak Openings Region is a globally rare ecosystem composed of over 130 square miles in Northwest Ohio. The land consists largely of oak savanna and grassland prairie. It is considered by The Nature Conservancy as having a similar ecological importance as the Florida Everglades and is one of the 200 "Last Great Places on Earth"." It is amazing. Check it out!

Toledo has a multitude of interesting trails for biking, walking, blading, running, etc…read more Although, albeit to a lesser extent, the Parks University Trail does the same thing, the CCT is more than just a nature trail...it traverses several different environment types. There are sections that are wooded, and there are sections that are abutting people's backyards. Certain sections go along, or crossover, some of Toledo's major thoroughfares. Some of the more interesting areas pass through some of the de-industrialized parts of town. Several major parks, such as Ottawa Park, are abutted and/or traversed. The campuses for both MCO (uh, UTMC) and UT (main campus and Scott Park) are included. The southernmost terminus is at the Maumee River. It's at the site of an old railway bridge that has since been demolished. Certain parts of the bridge, such as the turntable gears, are on display at this end of the trail. The northern terminus is near Bowman Park in West/North Toledo. If you're into casual biking/hiking, or you're just interested in taking a leisurely stroll, you'll find that this trail provides an awesome addition to Toledo's repertoire of outdoor activities. 5 stars!

He is patient for those who are new to fishing or less experienced. His rates are great for those who can't afford the big cost of the larger boats. Robb Devries needs a lot of work…read more He showed up 10 minutes prior to departure time (not earlier to check for sea-worthiness, or prepare his boat for the day). In his boat check there was a problem with the motor (possible broken seal/leaking gear oil) which I do not fault him for. Had he showed up early for preparation, this would have been taken care of sooner. I do fault him for not greeting his guests, not looking and acting professional, and not having the courtesy of keeping his customers updated with progress on the boat issue. His boat is small, but sufficient for the task. I will say that it appears he hasn't cleaned the outside of his boat for 2 years or more. According to his mess of a webpage/Facebook page (spelling errors, grammatical errors), he has not had the comparable Walleye catches that other Charter businesses have. I will say he appears to be a good Perch fisherman. Overall Robb appears to use this as a part-time job, and this type of business demands full-time preparation, dedication, and knowledge. Robb just does not have that, and I would not recommend him to anyone. Hopefully this review fuels him to improve on all aspects of this business.

We left around 6am & as soon as we got out to our destination…read moreon the water, they moved like a well oiled machine to get 14 rigs set up, before they even had them all set up the walleye were biting. For about an hour we could hardly keep up! It was awesome, it wasn't fishing -IT WAS CATCHING. Within an 1.5-2 hrs we had already maxed our daily limit! I've NEVER done that so quickly. We caught 3 HUGE mamas too that ALMOST Michigan master angler size (only 2 inches off ), that was the peak moment of the trip. My brother & I booked this charter for our Dad for Father's Day, since somehow he had NEVER been walleye fishing. Needless to say this was the best first walleye fishing experience we could have had! Prior to booking I hopped on a call with Captain Ben & he was awesome, answered all my questions & got us booked with ease. A few days before, he checked in with me & reminded me to get our Ohio 1 day licenses - which I'm grateful for because I wouldn't have remembered He cleaned our walleye haul super quickly & did a great job, bagged em & we were on our merry way back home before 10 am!
