Please keep up the great work and don't feel like you need to compete with the place down the street. Not everyone is looking for all the amenities and pricey costs.

This park is a couple miles inland off the highway, the road in is wide and well marked and the route does take you through part of town. I made reservations over the phone and the woman helping me not only gave me a great rate for my stay, she gave me an additional 10% off for my military service. They do support veterans here. Not all RV parks do. The park is pretty much self check in, there is no office per se, but management is available over the phone and via text messages. Our site was down inside the park, site 39, a level gravel pull through with 50 amp service and FHU. All the hooks up were within a few feet of each other making connections simple and straight forward. This park has FHU on every other site, so if you are looking for that be aware not all sites have a sewer drain port. Each site has a concrete patio area with an aluminum picnic table with benches and a fire ring. There are play areas with swings for kids, a small soccer field and a covered gazebo on the end which has a solid concrete floor with picnic table benches, power, water, lights and a huge smoker and bbq station along with a portapotty. There's a self serve ice station up front along with a dumpster, and covered RV storage. Wide gravel roads with no interior trees makes navigation through the park pretty simple and easy. There are some perimeter shaded back in sites along the outside down by the creek and gazebo, otherwise its full sun. Note* All units must be self contained as there are no shower or restroom facilities here. 4 Stars a solid choice for an overnight or longer 01298

We enjoy bringing our chairs and sitting in the water while the kids search for crawfish. They also have a pool to cool off in. We grab delicious coffees from their on-site specialty shop and you can get regular coffee or decadent dessert-like coffees. The park is quiet in the late evening hours and is truly a great place to take your family!

I did not get any sort of confirmation email, only a text message photo of a receipt for the $103.50 deposit. A fellow camper in my group called me a week ago and said our reservation had been changed because the campground had double booked us. I called and left a message saying I'd like to understand and get this straightened out. When they called back the guy yelled at me and told me they still have us but in a different spot. When I asked about moving our deposit to the next year's ride or possibly refunding our deposit he refused to work with me. Throughout the call he was rude and unprofessional. Rather than focusing on my reservation and working towards a solution he kept talking about another camper's reservation changes. Needless to say after this negative experience I will not be camping at this place.

We stayed in the Woodsong cabins. The accommodations were great, and everything was very clean and functional. It was very comfortable - the atmosphere, the furniture, and view. We were lucky to have nice weather in February and used the jacuzzi all weekend as well as sat outside. It was delightful to get full use of the layout and grounds. The location is close to Carbondale so very convenient for food/entertainment or grocery shopping. If you want a weekend getaway that's just close enough to resources and shopping but still rural - Woodland Cabins is the perfect place.

We stayed in the Fern Glen cabin which is a little further away from the other 3 that are closer together and on a pond. We were just there this past weekend (in December), and they had a Christmas tree in the living room! It was a wonderful surprise that really rounded out the experience. The fireplace is awesome. There is a fire pit outside, but we didn't have the chance to use it. We DID have the chance to use the hot tub (twice), which was awesome! There's something about being able to soak in a hot tub outside in the middle of December. It was very clean and a nice hot tub. Inside the cabin, they have everything you need. Full kitchen, huge bathroom, plenty of pillows/blankets, plus a TV and DVD player if you feel like it. Oh, and a grill on the back deck! I grilled steaks our first night there. For ~$155/night, you get a ton of value here. I can't wait to go back! It's a great place to stay if you're heading down for the winery trail.
