The ground are well-kept and have statues carved from wood around the site - Rocky (from Bullwinkle, not the boxer ); Abraham Lincoln; and a rooster on top of a pig on top of a horse - not kidding. Oh, and there are real roosters and hens walking around. Super cool! The sites are gravel and level with fire rings. While the campground is very quiet, there is interstate noise at night - be aware. Also, there seems to be a waste water treatment facility nearby - the occasional funk is not so amazing. Great for an overnight stay or a long weekend away with the kids, especially once the pool opens back up.

The hookups were perfect. We bought firewood and asked for the pit to be cleaned out (we didn't have a shovel). When the fella came to deliver wood, he cleaned out the pit. We told him we we're making s'mores. He actually scrounged up a couple pieces of scrap wood and ran it back over to us. Great guy!!! The girl in the office said they didn't have fire-starter, but said we could walk around by the woods and pick up kindling.

When in the trailer, it was rarely noticeable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to get a delivery of firewood out to our campsite, which was nice. Also tried my luck in their fishing pond, which is catch and release. I didn't have to release anything, but it was fun and relaxing. The pool area looked great and very refreshing on hot days like when we were there. Some of the things could use some repair, such as the fishing dock and shower floors. They are putting in work to take care of it, so that's good. We would stay here again. You should check it out.

We made a reservation that day (it seemed pretty packed early October so we got the last available spot). The staff here were very friendly, and we didn't have to pay until we arrived at the site. It was so affordable! With a Good Sam discount, our one night stay amounted to just ~$34! We were very happy with the price, which included full hook-ups (+ cable TV), a shower house, and a swimming pool (? I think). The next morning, we had our propane filled at that site and left. The owners here were very thoughtful and organized. Thought the campground wasn't very big, when we drove in, the owner had us follow her in her golf cart so we knew exactly where to pull in and how to park our extra truck. Will come back again!

I'd give Duck Creek RV Park 5 stars if there were trees. Otherwise, this is a great RV park.

We enjoy bringing our chairs and sitting in the water while the kids search for crawfish. They also have a pool to cool off in. We grab delicious coffees from their on-site specialty shop and you can get regular coffee or decadent dessert-like coffees. We stayed in the Woodsong cabins. The accommodations were great, and everything was very clean and functional. It was very comfortable - the atmosphere, the furniture, and view. We were lucky to have nice weather in February and used the jacuzzi all weekend as well as sat outside. It was delightful to get full use of the layout and grounds. The location is close to Carbondale so very convenient for food/entertainment or grocery shopping. If you want a weekend getaway that's just close enough to resources and shopping but still rural - Woodland Cabins is the perfect place.

We stayed in the Fern Glen cabin which is a little further away from the other 3 that are closer together and on a pond. There is a fire pit outside, but we didn't have the chance to use it. We DID have the chance to use the hot tub (twice), which was awesome! There's something about being able to soak in a hot tub outside in the middle of December. It was very clean and a nice hot tub. Inside the cabin, they have everything you need. Full kitchen, huge bathroom, plenty of pillows/blankets, plus a TV and DVD player if you feel like it. Oh, and a grill on the back deck! I grilled steaks our first night there. For ~$155/night, you get a ton of value here. I can't wait to go back! It's a great place to stay if you're heading down for the winery trail.
