Check-in was efficient, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. Throughout our stay, we experienced no issues with the water supply, electrical, or sewage systems. Our pull-through site accommodated our 35-foot trailer without difficulty. While the Wi-Fi, as is common in RV parks, was not optimal for streaming, it was sufficient for basic phone and tablet use. The water had a noticeable chlorine taste, but our in-line filter and Brita pitcher resolved this. Paducah was conveniently located, offering a wider selection of stores and restaurants than anticipated. The campground offered various activities during our visit. Each morning, a vendor sold fresh baked goods, jams, and jellies, which we found to be very good. Mark Cope provided a BBQ wagon, and his BBQ and potato salad were also excellent. The park also hosted an ice cream social and a wine tasting by "Purple Toad Winery," a family-owned winery in Paducah, KY. There is a lake on-site where fishing is available, and bait is sold. We will certainly choose Fern Lake Campground for our next visit.

The staff at the fuel dock takes great care of the boat and I can go to the ships store for any parts. They have the largest boat life around at 70 ton so big houseboats and yachts are not a problem. It is probably the most expensive marina around but the amenities make it worth it. They also have 3 swimming pools and condo rentals as well as boat rentals. AND a wedding/meetings venue on site.

We stayed at the recently renovated Holiday House, and it was fantastic! There were 5 adults and 1 toddler, and we had so much space, with the little one able to even have her own room. And a big enough space that no one woke her when she went to bed earlier than the rest of us! From the patio lighting to the fire pit, it was just such an inviting experience. And everyone was so kind and helpful. While we're from the area, we came into town for a wedding in Paducah, and even though it was a little bit of a drive, I would do it 100x over to get to stay at Holiday Hills. Barkley Breeze was amazing! My wife and I had a getaway there this week and our stay was fantastic…read more The place was very clean (a huge hit with my wife) and had EVERYTHING we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils and accessories you could need, even had Ziploc bags and a crock pot. I've never seen that before in a vacation rental. We were surprised by their attention to detail, down to labeling the light switches (nice touch) and all of the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The place is beautiful, as is the view. Almost all of one wall was windows looking out over the lake. The couch and recliners were comfy, as was the bed which is also a rarity in a vacation rental in my experience. Since it was only the two of us we didn't get to take full advantage of the HUGE dining room but that could easily accommodate very large groups. We also liked that the house was very well located, near to many area attractions so we did some exploring which was really nice. Our host Pete was very attentive and helpful when we had questions. You could tell that he and his family really wanted us to be able to enjoy ourselves. There was even a snack basket waiting for us on the bar. Since we went in winter, we did not get to take advantage of the kayaks, deck, grill or screened in porch but we will definitely be back to the area and plan to stay here again. On the 2nd floor is another unlocked, uncovered door that has a balcony butted up to yours. You could step over and be in your space. Not comfortable with that. 2 flights of stairs straight up to get to the 2nd floor and another flight to get to the bedrooms. With the Orgy shower sitting right in the middle of the floor between the 2 bedrooms was a little P Diddy for us regular folks. All the track lights makes it hard to find their cameras. CREEPY The beds were comfortable and the place was clean as a pin. That is what the 2 stars are for. There is no breakfast and the bar is a joke at best.Why people lie about live entertainment blows me away. It looked like an old Folks home TV room. They advertise a pool table. It is a private table and on the 3rd floor of the Trifecta room. No access for other customers. The pool room butts up to the P Diddy bedroom. Balls were broke and hollering went on til very late. The lady who they say is an owner(that's what this site says) gave me a very furred brow when I ask about the advertised table and where it was. (To say rude would be fair) I knew there was a pool adjacent to my bedroom because I heard it til late. Lastly... we were there on a Monday and nothing was opened. NOTHING!!!!! So for this business to advertise that other places are in walking distance is again very misleading. First off PIGGY BACKING off other businesses with your baseless claims of availability is a bit fraudulent. This whole thing is misleading. There was NO parking for us behind a condo. We had to park on the street and haul our stuff a city block before we started the multiple flights of stairs to the room. As town was dead this was still unacceptable as it is clearly stated on the site that parking was available and free. If town had anything going on we would have had NOWHERE to park.. When we arrived there had been an error made somewhere between Expedia and the Hotel. We were going to have to move rooms. There was no way that was going to happen. The young man on 2nd shift worked very quickly to get that second night cancelled and was very professional about the error.That is what 1 star is for. Just not my jam and after reading the other comments I would never try any of these other rooms either. Safety first. Lipstick on a pig is still a pig.

They had already decorated for Christmas so the rooms and sitting rooms were beautifully decorated! We truly fell in love with it. They were so accommodating to us and they served us a delicious breakfast and let us take it to the bride in the room. We also took some truly beautiful pictures in their front parlor. Carey and Melinda our hosts were fantastic! The residence is impeccable with very nice touches…read morethroughout. Everything worked perfect perfectly plenty of hot water and the beds are comfortable. We even went out with Carey and Melinda to a local cigar bar and then a restaurant. One of the best places that my wife and I have stayed in a long time. I really can't explain the architecture of the place and just how great it looks! We will definitely be back.
