The Divorce was simple and Paul somehow messed it up. He took my retainer money for a upcoming hearing and won't refund it. I called the Bar Association just waiting to hear back. Her lawyer needed a form for insurance to take me off of my exes but Paul ignored her attempts to contact him. I had to Google the legal form myself and send it off to them. I don't know what I paid for. His paralegals do all of his work. Paul will not return phone calls or emails. I don't think he has a computer and I'm not kidding. He did not get her lawyer discovery and then proceeded to bill me anyways. Paul is worth just being a good car salesman to get you in. That's why his ratings on Lawyer.com has him at 2.8 I wish I knew this ahead of time. He owes me $2000 for the appearances he didn't make and not accomplishing anything the previous one. My new lawyer communicates everything and finally the case is moving along. I had other lawyers wouldn't touch my case because they said Paul messed it bad but my new lawyer has been great so far and cleaning things up. My new Lawyer Katlyn Johnson just got me almost triple what Paul couldn't get me. She closed the deal in 2 months and Paul didn't do anything in 5 months. He is a scam artist that talks a big game. Do not fall for his antics. I was on the verge of getting nothing with Paul and she clean it up easily and closed the deal. She is also cheaper than Paul. Update: Paul Refused to give me 1200 back that he owes me for a court appearance he didn't show up to and said I owe him.

Paul ran my credit card before I even had the retainer agreement read or signed (he flipped over the page with his $350/hr rate very quickly) and left me to sign the agreement. He re-entered the room multiple times huffing and acting impatient that it wasn't signed immediately. I felt intimidated, frustrated, and completely taken advantage of. I should've trusted my gut and left instead of allowing him to take a full retainer. I fired Paul after 3 days, which he used $1,200 out of my $1,500 retainer to simply ADJOURN a court date for HIS OWN VACATION. I received a $310 refund for Paul to do absolutely nothing but disrespect and waste my time. He promised me that retainer would get me through "at least 3 months". Im thankful didn't have him represent me in the courtroom. I'll also note that communication is a joke, his "receptionist" just screams your requests across the hall without putting herself on mute while you sit awkwardly listening to them shout at eachother

He consistently asked me if I had paid him yet when I already had. He was late to all court dates except for one. The one he wasn't late for, the courts sent me the wrong time on the letter and he didn't try to argue it at all despite me showing him the letter. He constantly got court postponed for 8 months and it was palpable that the judge was getting furious about it. He kept telling me that this did not seem like a jail case to him. I went to jail for a year. If I would've gone with a public defender and pled guilt I would have got a year. Complete waste of $3500. He also asked me to get letters from friends and family to attest to character as a good person who made a mistake and request leniency. As embarrassing as this was to ask, I did. The judge never got the letters, he forgot them. Not only was he late constantly, the day of my sentencing he actually told me to tell the judge he was running late.
