Loved Lotus Pond! I was visiting family in Fresno with my husband who is SEA. After several incidents of racism directed at him, we were feeling disgusted and unwelcome by the people of Fresno. We saw Lotus Pond online and it's been on our list for a while. We almost didn't go because of our recent experiences but knew we would regret not going if we didn't. I'm so glad that we went! Unlike the racists of Fresno, everyone working at Lotus Pond were so welcoming to ALL people, it didn't matter if you weren't SEA, they made everyone feel like they belonged. It was a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere with tons of good authentic food (larb, Lao sausage, papaya salad, pho) and drink (boba, sugar cane juice, snow cones!). There were was a live Thai performer that night and people were dancing. All of the vendors were kind and the food was fire. And of course the Lotus Pond itself was beautiful. They have staff at the entrance of the bridge regulating people going in so that everyone has enough time and space to take photos, I really appreciated that. Keep in mind that since it's a pond the mosquitos and bugs are out in full force, so be sure to bring bug spray! It's also a bit dusty so even though it's hot, I'd wear closed toe shoes. Going to Lotus Pond after having such a horrible experience with racists in Fresno felt like an oasis in the desert. Thank you to the family and community who maintain this project. Community is SO important and as any Asian living in the Central Valley, it truly is a diamond in the rough. There is no cost to entry but they do ask for donations, so please donate! I had been seen this from last year and started seeing more on social media so I know I need to go since lotus flower is one of my favorite plants. Go there around 1 pm. Parking is $5 there a lot food vendor and few collectible vendors. The pond great size and good for picture opportunities. Come around noon there motto much people. So many foods want to try but I try 2 places this visit. Papaya salad and sugar cane from mark kitchen was so good and fresh sugar cane is refreshing since it a warm season still. Enjoy my papaya and drink on the side of pond and listen to the music is so nice and peaceful. Go around check another vendor and decide sweet sticky rice with mango at phet don mii and I really like the dry sticky rice and fresh mango cut. There bands playing I think evening might more crowded and fun with more music and dancing. After all I'm having great time here on my first visit and definitely come to try different vendor food. read more

First time visiting the Lotus pond and it was such a good time. Came on a Saturday evening and lots of families were in attendance. We parked in the paid lot for $5 but you can also park on the street. However, it gets really dark and hardly any street lights so be careful if you do. We grabbed a few drinks and bites and stayed awhile. Good amount of vendors and they had similar items but different at the same time. The pond is beautiful and there are a few photo opportunities to take advantage of. Good amount of seating but there needs to be more. There were traditional tables set as reserved however no one sat in them which was kind of off putting because others could've taken advantage of them. They are beautiful and really could add to the experience. There was a stage and dance floor. Loud but that added to the fun. Food was tasty we had the following; lemonades, egg rolls, chicken stick, papaya salad, khao poon and mango sticky rice. Service was pretty good but the popular stall in the back "Sap Lao" had a young girl working the register that wasn't very friendly lol. I didn't mind it but my gma not so much. Haha Overall would def come back with a group of friends. Night time is definitely the vibe but go before sunset for pictures. Bring mosquito spray and wipes. Only port a potties onsite read more

I've been seeing on Facebook that Lotus Pond hosts pop up food vendors on Friday & Saturdays. What a nice place full of lotus flowers that you wouldn't see much of unless you're in Asia but here in Fresno you can experience that. I like all the vendors that were here selling Southeast Asian street foods. You can get anything from beef sticks, pork belly to fried banana and boba. I came here for the fried chicken feet as that is something I wouldn't make myself. The price is affordable and the service is fast if there's not a wait but long if they're popular. I would love to come back when it gets a bit cooler at night but not sure how long lotus flowers last through the seasons. read more

I came here the other night for the first time with a friend and we had such a great time! I chose to park in the parking lot which was $5. Street parking is free, but it's in the country, so it's dark at night. The pond is beautiful, it is much larger than I thought it would be. I wish I knew when they were all going to bloom. There is a small bridge that's great for pictures. They have cute lights and lanterns for decor. It's also a night market with a lot of good food. I tried mango sticky rice and fried bananas. I also got a fruity drink from a vendor that was delicious. We stayed til 10, it was a nice place to talk. They did have music and karaoke at one point! Super fun! read more

I've never seen a lotus flower in person so when I saw this place on ig I knew I needed to visit. It's in Sanger about 15 minutes away from Fresno just depending on where you are at. Keep in mind it's like a big ranch so a lot of uneven ground. You do have to pay for parking too. It's 5 dollars and the place fills up fast. Upon walking up I noticed the horses. They had 3 beautiful horses off to the side enjoying their natural habitat. As you walk closer to the pond there are food vendors all lined up. They had a lot of drink vendors, Thai food and a taco vendor too. They had limited seating all around. There was a main stage too where they were having a band at night. As we walked to the entrance of the lotus pond there is a bridge right in the middle. On both side are beautiful lotus flowers. They're something so magical about seeing these beautiful flowers. If you like nature and food lotus pond is a must. read more

Honestly such a great place to visit and eat great local Southeast Asian food. You do not have to pay for parking, but the pond does accept donations:) Parking is a bit spares, my partner and I went during mid-afternoon to beat the evening rush. Though we went when the market was not at its busiest, the parking was still slightly available but pretty full, so I can only imagine how it gets when evening falls. Though the title includes the word 'market' this event is more of a place where you enjoy food ready-to-eat. The seating is also very minimal when walking in. The pond was very beautiful though, there is a bridge that crosses right through it with two small benches in the middle for photo ops or just enjoying the food while looking at the greenery, the lotus were in full bloom. So. Many. Dragonflies! The live music was great, and the food was incredible. I went to try a stand near the entrance after walking throughout the pond that served egg rolls, meat skewers, rice, and papaya salad. I ordered a chicken skewer, rice, and two egg rolls. Everything was amazing! Some of the best sticky rice I had, the chicken was okay and the egg rolls tasted good but could have been way better if the food was warm. For all four items it totaled to $12 which is understandable considering the market is a distance from the city. At another stand I purchased sugarcane juice for $10 and it was amazing, I have always loved eating sugarcane as a kid so it definitely hit close to home. The prices are a bit higher than what you would expect at a non-festival event. There are also a lot of other options like boba from Bobaology, other amazing SEA dishes, ice cream, lemonade, pastries, etc. The vendors there were very kind and their service was quick. All vendors do accept cash and card (Venmo and Zelle are the common ones) All in all this is a great experience, keep in mind, it is in the middle of nowhere so the distance will be about half an hour by car if you're in the mid-Fresno area. I believe that this place can grow and have even greater events and activities the more people know about it! read more

I attended their first event of the season for 2026. I was very impressed by the amount of food, vendors, entertainment, and how welcomed I felt attending. Their slogan says it all, "come for the culture, stay for the food" The food was delicious!! They had so many different options! Two attendees sitting across from us started sharing their food with us and expressed how grateful they were to have us join in their celebration. This night market is family friendly. read more

Very chill place just 7 minutes from Loma Vista. Easy to park, donations welcome for parking in their lot (tons of street parking). Beautiful lotus pond (did you know you can eat the seeds?!) with ample photo opportunities. About 10-12 stands set up around the area with various Laos foods, drinks, and desserts. There was a DJ playing last night when we went which was a cool vibe. There are places to sit and eat, too. My only downer is I wish there was a breeze! Lol. It's my first time here at lotus pond. I came down from Sacramento because I saw Gai Tod box video on TikTok a few times. The place is beautiful and it's pretty packed and busy, I was more excited about the Gai Tod box drinks ! It was so good and look exactly like the picture! I did try out some food from other vendors but I wish they look more clean. Overall I love the place and the drink ! read more
