I had only ever previously used Gundlach's for annual servicing. I knew they were more expensive…read morethan their competitors for this, but I was willing to pay the small amount extra because it wasn't that much, they had great customer service, and they were very fast. My experience with them changed completely when I needed actual work done. Long story short, my house needed a complete replacement of all the duct work and the estimate that Gundlach's gave me was was more than double what some other companies in town told me they would charge for the same job. MORE THAN DOUBLE! FOR THE SAME JOB! If you want to pay in excess of $10,000 more than multiple other companies in town are charging then you should definitely use Gundlach's. Special shoutout to their service technician Brent who, in the enclosed screenshot, is trying to guilt me into going with them by referencing my disabled wife's health and also admits, in writing, that if money is your main concern then Gundlach's isn't the company for you. That's not my words - that's directly from a Gundlach's employee. I've worked in customer service for almost 20 years and find these tactics to be... questionable at best. If you need to resort to guilt to close a sale then you've already lost. Also, that crosses a line and is highly inappropriate. You don't know our situation. Don't talk about something you know nothing about. I have no idea what he was trying to accomplish by confirming that if money is my main concern that his company won't work for me. Yeah, that was obvious, but thanks for the confirmation. I saved $13,500.00 by shopping around and getting competing bids from other companies in town. I suggest that you do the same.

I had a very disappointing experience with Gundlach's. They came out, diagnosed the issue, and…read morequoted me $3,300 for the repair. That price felt extremely high, so I decided to get a second opinion. I'm glad I did--another company completed the exact same repair for $1,000. Not only was the price far more reasonable, but they were also kind, understanding, and willing to work with my budget. They genuinely seemed to care about helping rather than just making money. Based on my experience, Gundlach's pricing felt excessive, and I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to their services.

I looked up reviews first and was pretty worried. When the gentleman showed up at my door he was on time within the time frame, very professional and was extremely kind to my dog which I was going to lock up to give him room to work but he had his own dogs so he was very friendly with my pup. He then checked the sink and immediately knew he had to snake it so he got his tools from his truck and ran the hot water + snake at the same time and ran the entire length all the way to the street just to make sure it all got cleared and voila! It was cleared and when he pulled out it he showed me there was dried up grease clogging up the pipe at the very end which a little bit came back out when he pulled the snake out. Overall my experience was extremely professional and extremely kind. I cannot possibly expect a better service from any company. I am very happy with the service I received!! I give Gennaro's Plumbing 10/10!!

SCAM ALERT!!!! My…read morehome warranty company sent them out for an emergency after-hours repair. The guy from Gennaro's called me and was very nice, I asked how I should turn off the water and he assured me that everything would be fine, and they would take care of everything and the plumber was already on the way. Before the plumber came some guy with a water mitigation company showed up and he immediately began telling me that I had to file a claim with my home owners insurance, that my entire kitchen was going to have to be redone and the floors throughout my entire house will likely have to be replaced (you would think I had water gushing out of my pipes instead of a leak). I asked the guy how much would it cost for him to create an access point for the plumber to fix the issue and he said $250-$350. He is going through my house taping off portions of my wall, cabinets, and floor continuing to tell me that I needed to open a claim because he has to take my cabinets down and all of this other stuff. There is some back and forth and I am very hesitant, so he called the guy from Gennaro's to have him talk to me and that guy begins trying to convince me to let the guy start and file a claim. The entire time I have an active leak and there is no plumber. So I told him that I would start the claim, but not for all of the other work and he told me they can't do partial work once they begin working under a claim (all or nothing), so I said that I will just pay out of pocket for him to open an access point and that price jumped to $2,800. He then told me that he still requires a claim number before he can do anything. The entire time, there is still an active leak and this guy is trying to strong arm me before he will create an access point for the plumber to fix the issue and to further pressure me he tells me that the plumber is 15 minutes away so I need to decide what to do. I said fine, I'll open a claim but I am not going to agree to you doing all of this extra work, I will pay for the access point separately and will speak to my insurance company first thing in the morning about the rest. He ask if I want him to move forward with the access point, I said yes and confirmed that I will pay for that out of pocket. He went outside, got in his van and left without saying anything. When I realized he was gone and the plumber never came, I called Gennaro's a few times and they would send me straight to VM. It was a good thing that I did open a claim because my insurance company sent someone out and explained to me how the scam works.... The plumber works with a water restoration/mitigation company. They get you to open a claim, and sign the agreements before they create an access point so the plumber can do repairs, then they immediately start "restoring" your home and then will send an inflated bill to the insurance company when they are done and whatever they can't get the insurance company to pay, the homeowner is now on the hook for which is typically thousands of dollars. And if the homeowner can't pay they put a lien on your home. They literally sit there and let the water continue to damage your home until you enter into an agreement with their restoration/mitigation partner. So don't become a victim like I almost did. If they mention your homeowner's insurance, don't sign anything and tell them to have a nice day. Call your insurance company yourself and let THEM send their water mitigation and plumber to your home. You can then discuss with your insurance company if you need to move forward with a claim.

This 5-star review is for Shawna and Curtis…read more Shawna is the office manager and has been exceptionally kind and informative each time we have spoken. My house needed the main-line unclogged, and in addition, we needed the shower pan in our master bathroom looked at. Shawna told me she would call me back in 5 minutes and she did exactly that, got us scheduled and told us to never hesitate to reach back out if we needed anything in the meantime. Curtis was the technician that showed up, got our main-line cleared and also was able to fix our shower pan issue as well. The pan had too much head pressure which was causing the drainage system to suck in air and clog the drains. He had it fixed in about 5 minutes. We were so happy with that fix we asked them to replace our hot water heater, got a quote for $2400 which included all the proper certifications and inspections. We set up an appointment for the following week and Curtis, along with another gentleman, got it done in about 2 hours. They also repaired a few of our water valves in our laundry room before leaving. All in all, it was a great experience this time around. My father previously had a bad experience with Stan's, but we couldn't be happier this time thanks to Shawna, Curtis and the gentleman that helped Curtis as well!

They came out, didn't fix it it right, and had to call them back 3 times. Still not fixed. On the 3rd call back Stan's came back and said it was the valve. Charged us again to replace the valve. Almost $500. later the toilet still was running. We had a handyman come by, he said the flapper was trash, and the handle was broken. Got it fixed for less than $100. So Stan's never replaced the flapper? We were told it was the gasket? These are cheap parts. Very disappointed. We will never use Stan's again.
