Was misdiagnosed with gout, and then a stress fracture without any signs on an ex-ray. Dr. Steve Markantone took the time to examine my foot, reviewed the ex-rays and gave me a clear diagnose, the first time. No more out of pocket co-pays for me :-). Dr. Anita Onufer removed a deep ingrown toenail that had been troubling me for a couple months…read more(thank you!) -- I did have it removed once during that time by my original podiatrist -- but it never felt right and suddenly flared up. My original podiatrist could not take me for two weeks! That's a long time for a swollen sore big toe to wait. I searched online for podiatrists and based on the 5 star ratings I chose Dr. Anita Onufer even though it was more of a drive to her office. She deserves more than 5 stars! What a thorough, skilled and kind doctor she is -- I was so impressed. She numbed my toe and removed the deep ingrown nail without any pain felt by me.
