Dangerous place, this one. Went in looking for a gift for my wife, emerged with something for her and two items for myself - the retail equivalent of going grocery shopping while hungry.
The service was genuinely excellent, which made the subsequent disappointment even more frustrating. I was assured that returns and exchanges would be seamless stateside. Spoiler alert: they were anything but. Either the staff needs better training on international policies, or they need to stop making promises they can't keep.
The bigger issue was the glacial pace of the transaction process. Look, I get that luxury retail has its rituals, but when you're in an airport setting, maybe acknowledge that people have lounges to visit and planes to catch. The careful packaging ceremony felt less like premium service and more like performance art.
That said, the product selection was strong, and when the staff wasn't making incorrect promises about return policies, they were knowledgeable and helpful. Just know what you're getting into: excellent products, good service, questionable international policy knowledge, and a checkout process that requires scheduling adequate time.
Next time I'll shop with a clearer understanding of their limitations - and maybe leave more time for the packaging pageant. read more
