You cut down my trees last September and told me you'd be back out in 4 weeks to finish the job but I still have 3 out of the 4 stumps sitting on my lawn almost a full year later ruining my grass and just in general being giant eyesores for the whole neighborhood. You've told me multiple times that you would be coming to wrap up and never showed up and never informed me that you wouldn't be able to make it or why. You also did a pretty poor job on actually grinding the stumps down as there were some spots that were missed when my wife and I picked up the mess (isn't that something I am paying you to do???). I paid you back in September to finish this job that should've been completed 4 weeks after you took down my trees and all I've been getting from you are excuses without any real plan on finishing this job. Half fell and half stood. This was after the storm. On June 17, 2022 I had B&F Trees out to clear the tree which had been cut down by an Asplundh crew. They left about a 10 foot piece standing which needed to be removed as well as the stump grinded. I paid B&F $1250 to remove all the debris and grind the stump. I wrote a receipt since they had none to give, which stated, remove all tree debris, remove balance of remaining tree and grind stump. I had to leave to return home to Chicago. Later that evening I was speaking with my neighbor and he told me the B&F crew left behind most of the very large pieces of the tree. That was not what we agreed to nor was it what they agreed to upn signing the receipt. I called and spoke with the owner Jacob Bowman. He said he would talk with the crew and call me back. he never called. I called and left several messages. No return call. These folks are not honest nor are they honorable. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THEM.

When I confronted the owner who was planning on helping himself to the wood make furniture for profit, he got upset with me. This was unprofessional and unethical behavior. I would not hire this company and would not recommend them.

I booked them to remove the large tree and cut a few other branches from other trees on the property. The crew that came out was very professional. They did a great job and cleaned up all excess branches and brush before they left. Additionally, the stump was too close to my house to be removed safely without doing damage. Jerry (owner) contacted me and refunded the difference to remove the stump. I highly recommend using Hinz for any tree removal/landscaping services.
