I appreciate that the coaches are friendly and helpful to correct you when you're doing an exercise wrong and help you to get the most out of each workout. The equipment is all in good condition and cleaned after each exercise; you are expected to clean each area yourself, and they provide towels and disinfecting spray to do so. The meh: It's quite warm inside; I believe if they set the AC to turn on before classes started, that would solve the issue. Some of the coaches are more interactive than others.

I've been working out with Coach Rob for about a year and a half now. I can't say enough good…read morethings about him, and the whole gym. I am not a "gym guy", which is probably obvious to those who know me personally. And I was extremely reluctant to start going. But since I've been working with him, I'm feeling stronger, more sure of myself, and stepping off a curb doesn't have me reaching around for a handrail anymore . I had tried working out on my own for years! And I would either end up injuring myself, or lose any commitment I had. Having someone like Rob, to make sure I'm doing an exercise correctly, and not hurt myself, but also to encourage me to improve, has been just what I needed. He pushes me, but also listens to what I'm wanting to do. Recently, I said I wanted to do things to help with fishing (core muscles to help with hours and hours fishing at sea, casting strength, reeling heavy weights up from hundreds of feet down, etc) and he has put together a slew of exercises that are definitely helping! I soon realized that any one no matter your age or fitness level can do crossfit .... I started at 46! Every movement can be tailored to meet you at your fitness level. With the help of the supportive coaches and "good job" fist bumps from the other members, workouts at Certus quickly became something that I looked forward to and have now become part of my daily routine. Parking is plentiful so no worries there. Lots of signs inside indicating to remove valuables from your car. Erik helped me out alot on movements and he was very patient. I know how to do some Kettlebell moves but was only learning it through youtube. He was very professional and a great teacher. He explained the movements very well and we went through them together. I would definitely recommend Erik as a personal trainer and would love to revisit again if I had the chance.

Between eating the tasty yet overly salted foods, delicious sweet treats, and copious amounts of adult beverages; I love that I can book a quick 45 minute session and feel back to normal! I don't think a human actually "sweats out" toxins, but after a heavy rowing and biking session, I'm pretty sure my gym towel is 75% sweat and 25% vodka. Plus the heat helps clear my sinuses and I can actually breathe again! I've been working out here for about 6-months now and it's the first fitness regiment that has stuck! It's been seven months since I signed up after that first trial class and I can wholeheartedly say it was the BEST decision I've made in years. They offer over 10 different virtual classes from cardio (rowing and cycling) to HIIT, to Pilates and yoga and strength training. The classes rotate every couple of months offering varying routines. The 24/7 access allows for flexibility in scheduling classes. You can book solo classes or classes with up to 3 people in a sauna. I've meet some wonderful people; everyone has been kind and encouraging, not your typical uncomfortable gym vibes. The instructor, Octavia, moved from pose to pose fairly quickly but she did a great job explaining proper form, walking around the room, and noting modifications for thr various levels. I thought the class was wonderfully done. I talked to the instructor afterwards and took a flyer for prices and the schedule. It was very reasonable. Also, this studio is HUGE! There is kombucha on tap, two bathrooms, a sitting area, and a little locker area. They're open cubbies but the studio is locked during classes to safeguard your items. The actual yoga room is also large. They put little tape squares on the floor so people know where to lay their mats so everyone has the same amount of space. I docked a star because, while the store size is impressive, it wasn't clear where you should and shouldn't wear shoes. The studio didn't seem very clean for this reason. Everyone in class had dirty feet from walking around barefoot where people had been wearing shoes before. The communal mats were free to use, but they were all light green Lululemon branded and you could see every smudge of dirt on them so it wasn't particularly inviting. Def recommend coming with your own mat.

She was clam and measured in her instructions. She guided the class patiently but directly through the class. She also watches over you to make sure you're not struggling. Great teacher! The overall pace of the class was great and it wrapped up nicely like a bookend. It's clear she put time and effort on the overall class. Class Type: All levels. I should have done the beginners class or something to that equivalent. Which is what I will probably do moving forward but it was a great time regardless. Yoga Studio: Clean and very welcoming. They lock the doors when the class starts so be there on time. There is a place for your valuables and stuff and they are secure during the class. Recommend: Yes! The experience was humbling and educational. I got a nice workout and understood little nuggets of yoga philosophy throughout the lesson by Liana's lesson plan.
