If I could give this lady 0 stars I would. My husband met Anne several days before our thanksgiving trip, and she seemed like a nice and knowledgable person. So based on all the reviews, we hired her for 4 days. Then extended by a day. During our trip, she didn't once update us but in the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I stupidly neglected to contact her. When we finally got home, the putrid stench of cat feces wafted through our front door. It was in all our bedrooms and the litter box was a horrid rotting mess. On top of that, the original food and water bowls we left had not been touched. THIS WOMAN DIDN'T COME ONCE. How dare she committ to taking care of a cat, then abandoning it! It counts as animal abuse - my cat didn't eat or drink for 4 days!!! To add insult to injury, she hasn't picked up her phone since and she still has my keys. What an unreliable and inconsiderate person this lady is. If you're looking for a sitter, she's not it folks, your cat might just be left starving, thirsty, and living in the stench of his own feces. read more

Do not hire this woman or trust her in your home or with the lives of your cats. She is unstable, unprofessional, and unreliable. I hired Anne to watch my cats for a two week vacation abroad. She insisted that I drop off a set of keys to her house, and not come to my home to pick the keys up. Red flag- yes! I left keys in her mailbox which were my originals which I use every day. She could not get into the home and wrote an incoherent angry email saying she was too upset to watch the cats anymore (see first email below) and wanted to CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL? I got back to her within hours and calmed her down- and I mistakenly gave her another chance. Red flags everywhere! I dropped off yet another set of keys, in which she claims I never did. During my vacation she was out of her mind. She stated she couldn't get into my home, that she was going to call the fire department, have people break into my house and send my cats to a kill shelter? Please read one of her many emails in the photo so you can see her behavior first hand. When I finally could get in touch with her after 12 hours of calling and emailing, she was angry, insulting, and rambling about the first set of keys not working. I asked why she didn't get back to me all day after sending such a concerning email- she then told me she keeps her phone locked in the trunk of her car, because she doesn't want to be someone who looks at their phone all day. She said that's why she wouldn't call me back.. Quite strange.. Don't plan on getting a hold of her in a timely fashion. After all was said and done, I had to pay for international phone calls, notify my rental company, pay for new locks, and contact the police department. My vacation abroad was pretty well ruined. All for a cat sitter ? I will be contacting the better business bureau and filing a formal business complaint. I fear for others pets in the care of this woman. read more

This is our first time using Love Cat Sitting services and we're very satisfied with the care and service we received from Anne. She came to our place, initially, to familiarize herself with our cat Zoe's environment. She took note of where things were and paid attention with what works for our kitty. Surprisingly, our cat appeared to be not so apprehensive with having "stranger" in her space. Ultimately, she got cozy and started rubbing against Anne during the initial visit. When we got back from our trip, Anne left us a diary of what went on and how Zoe was with her during our absence. In addition she also left us a couple of 'Welcome Back' chocolates and we appreciated all of this very much. After moving from downtown to the Sunset, we unfortunately had to find a new cat sitter. But we are so glad we found Anne! She was available to care for our two cats over the winter holidays while we were in Europe for 10 days and we are very pleased with her services. I'm a typical cat owner in that I worry about leaving my cats for big chunks of time. Ever since having Anne become my cat care taker, all of my fears have been alleviated. Anne has been very accommodating with me, incredibly friendly and trustworthy, and definitely loving and caring for my cats. I was delighted to find Anne after receiving the sad news my pet sitter decided to retire. We met several months prior to my week long trip out of the country and you can imagine I was nervous about how the kitties would deal with it. We had a great meet and greet visit and I knew I had chosen the right person for my pet needs. I gave her my house key and we set the dates. As the date approached, Anne connected with me to confirm the dates and I filled out her paperwork and left it with her payment, then flew off on my trip. We were able to email and had several conversations during the 7 days I was away, and that in itself was really nice and reassuring knowing all was good in my house. Upon arriving home I found my 2 kitties to be well fed, relaxed, and though happy to see me, they could've gone another 3 weeks without me under Anne's thorough care. 3 weeks home now, my very particular Calico is STILL trying to get me to replicate a game she and Anne invented, but my laughter is not Anne's, so we give up. My cat loved Anne! I was gone for a full week and frankly a bit uneasy about leaving my cat to the mercies of a person I had met only once, but was very surprised when I got home to find my cat extremely contented. Normally when I return from even one overnight he greets me at the door and follows me around yammering at me; this time he greeted me, made some "oh, are you back?" sounds and went off to take a nap. Clearly he had been well fed and watered, and his box was clean. Our experience with Anne was very different then the reviews we read, most recently from 2013. Anne seems to have experienced issues that are affecting her service and that certainly affected our experience in working with her. It should have been a clue when she was difficult to get ahold of. We hired her for 5 days and at the meet and greet she told us she was 72 years old and had broken her back previously. She seemed frail and had difficulty going up and down our stairs. Her eyes were watery and her hands trembled. She told us she was 'recovering from the holiday weekend'. Our meeting was at 11 AM. She chatted for an hour and seemed like a nice person. We had reservations but gave her the benefit of the doubt largely based on the Yelp reviews and hired her. One day before our trip we received an email from Anne at close to midnight the night before canceling abruptly in an aggressive, incoherent rambling rant where she referred to herself in the third person. It was a crazy email where she closed with 'out of here'. She evidently took offense at a simple, email sent the day before confirming our previously set appointment for key retrieval and to meet the cats - both issues she had previously agreed to. We had recently moved to the area and our animals weren't present at the meet and greet. We even told her we would pay full price for the key retrieval she advertises on her website as if for a regular visit. There were no new requests other than what she had already agreed to at the meet and greet. It was just food/water and general cat care and taking the trash bins in once. No plants, lights or any other requests. Just the minimal basic services advertised on her website. We are easy going nice people with friendly cats who have employed cat sitters for many years and they usually become part of the family - no issues. We are thankful, in retrospect and strongly feel that we dodged a bullet in escaping hiring her. We hired a wonderful vet tech from in the neighborhood who was excellent ( and less expensive!). In our experience Anne, of Love Cat Sitting, is unstable, unreliable and unprofessional. The Yelp reviews are not current and are inaccurate and misleading. People should know what they're getting in to before hiring Love Cat Sitting. read more

I have been extremely fortunate to find Anne. My cat who usually experience extreme anxiety when we travel is now a happy camper. I suspect he likes her better than he likes us! I have never had any issues with her reliability or services as some people describes, on the contrary. I try to book before major holidays with at least a month advance, it's important for all business, or you won't be able to get an appointment anywhere. Anne calls me, or e-mails in advance to confirm the appointment, which is great, she has never once cancelled an appointment. I have cancelled on her once only two days in advance, with no issues. I feel so secure when I travel, as she writes a diary for me to read when I came back telling me about my cat's whereabouts, if he ate, if he played, what his mood was... it's great! If I travel for longer than a week, she will send me an e-mail to reassure me that everything is going well. I also, have friends stopping by to check on my mail and move my car, and they noticed that the litter box clean and the cat calm and well fed. I have recommended her to friends, and will continue to use her services as my cat really loves her. read more

I looked on Yelp and found Anne who has an amazing cat sitting service. She got excellent reviews and and had a beautiful and professional website. I made an appointment to meet with her and she was great! I was not nervous at all about leaving our cats and our home in her care. While we were away we got updates via email and when we returned we got more handwritten updates about how the cats did while we were away. Anne was so sweet to keep a little diary of the cats' activities and behaviors. She also left a welcome home sign and some candies for us to enjoy upon our return. The cats were cared for so well!
