We had gone to breakfast next door and came across a place called Love My Puppy. At first, I thought it might be a good place to pick up a toy for my furphew but then we walked in. There she was, the most beautiful toy Havanese, white and tan with blue eyes. We fell in love immediately. They had such a beautiful selection of puppies from toys to standard and I honestly wanted them all. The puppies are all happy, well kept, talented care of, and just little bundles of joy. Joanne and her son have run this business for 13 years and you can tell that they really care for the well being of these pups. We were greeted immediately and were allowed to look at and get to know the pups. We let JoAnne know that we were typically yorkie parents and had lost our beloved Rockie in February. She was very empathetic and understood when we told her we needed some time. We weren't really sure if we were ready just yet for another furbaby. There was no pressure. She explained that the puppies are microchipped, she guarantees them for a year, they pay for the first two weeks of vet visits, and she had all of the puppies paperwork and ACA certifications. We had everything we needed to make our decision. Havanese are hypoallergenic which would be great news for my mom who tends to have dog allergies. We said goodbye, went home l, thought about it, and immediately knew we had to have her and we felt Comfortable with Love My Puppy. We called, put down the deposit and picked her up next day. Rose was there to help us out and Chloe was all ready when we got there. Bathed, brushed and beautiful (she was the day before as well but today she looked even better because she was ours). Rose explained all the next steps, sent in the registration with the county, gave us all the docs including the microchip info, and gave us the info for current and future vaccinations and the vet. You have to buy your first bag of food there, naturally, so that your puppy stays on track and doesn't get sick from a quick food change. We called back bc I forgot to ask about the food schedule and we got JoAnne's son who was just as amazing as JoAnne and Rose. I highly recommend this family owned business they work with qualified and non-puppy mill breeders and follow every law to the tee. It's only the best of the best here and I will send anyone their way on a go forward bc I was that impressed, happy, and satisfied. We acquired our dog 10 years ago at the Mizner location she is a Yorky Poo. We have also rescued many dogs in this time. We do DNA on all of our dogs mostly out of curiosity and health reasons. All of our rescues come back with 5, 6, and 8 different breeds mixed We did our Yorky Poo and to my surprise she came back 50-50 Yorky poodle. So we absolutely got what we were told she was. UPDATE - BE AWARE - read and learn about Giardia - my puppy has been very sick - they said it is common and have no responsibility sending home a sick dog or shared anything about this illness in their paperwork - they take NO responsibility- great with sales - horrible for puppy! My poor little Puppy has been very sick with Giardia - costs I am told are not reimbursable except just ' Giardia meds' as I used my own vet who I have used for 15 years - please review contract before signing a Over $200 in costs but more importantly she is doing much better thanks to MY vet who was very attentive and provided 24 hr emergency care. Not sure why this was not caught before I brought my puppy home? Be cautious and be a better consumer than I was - do your research - as the cuteness of the puppies makes it very hard to resist doing the due diligence. Lessons learned ......... After the loss of our Yorkie of 12 years, Gina helped my family with our Morkie puppy. I was out of town with my children. She was able to show me the puppy via FaceTime and text me photos, so I could show my husband who was home. I gave the deposit over the phone. After his health vet check my husband was able to see him the next day and he picked him up a couple of days later on the day we arrived home. My dog had been shedding non stop and in spite of my attempts to remove her undercoat at home the hair was everywhere. After I bought the dog, the puppy became sick which required everyday vet visits. Love My Puppy has adorable dogs, however, please research the breeders name before buying. The owner and staff will tell you dogs are not from a puppy mill but when I searched Linda Brasher (breeder listed on paperwork), the breeder actually has many complaints about dogs being sick and bred in puppy mills. read more

Picked up my dog and he looks ridiculous, with a puffy poodle hair cut on head. I even showed a picture of what I wanted before I left him and explained just trim around the whole body, not much on the face. When I expressed my disappointment, one of the staff said "Well, it is a different dog (from what was in picture)!" I said they are both havanese and this cut is not what I asked for. When we decided not to get the dog with a very good reason, they promised to give us our money back and then reneged. They kept offering excuses not to give out money back. Love my Puppy is a puppy store & groomer. I have shopped practically every store in Broward and Boca and ultimately have bought a puppy from Love my Puppy both times. They specialize in little dogs. And nearly all of them are hypoallergenic too. JOANN THE OWNER IS AWESOME! She's perhaps not everyone's flavor but she's an absolute treasure trove of knowledge, sells amazing and healthy animals and cares about matching an animal that's right for you. She's got a no BS attitude, which I would take over the lies and pretentiousness offered at other nearby shops, any day of the week. Sarcasm, sure, she's got that too. But we bought puppies from her TWICE and wouldn't hesitate to return again. We own a teddy bear puppy & shih lhasa. Both are healthy, happy puppies. Each time we purchased a puppy from JoAnn we visited the store twice. The first time to look around and ask questions, then we thought about it and came back the next day. JoAnn and her staff have always been super helpful and super patient. We played with the puppies in the crib, on the floor, on the couch. Nobody ever rushed us. I even call the store from time to time looking for training advice etc and they always help. Each time we bought a puppy we made the rounds throughout Broward and Boca. Each time JoAnn's puppys were cuter, healthier, cleaner and less expensive than anything else we had seen around town. We bought every time because of two important things. Firstly, all the dogs are in cribs in the middle of the store. There's no glass separating you. You don't need to beg someone to show you a dog. But the main reason we bought a puppies there each time was JoAnn. She's like a matchmaker!! If a dog's not right for you she'll show you something that is. She has soooo much knowledge and love for her puppies there's no reason to shop around! Something to watch out for at some of the other store - lies! I can't tell you how many stores have tried to sell me breeds like golden-poo saying theyre 100% hypoallergenic. Guess what, theyre not! At another nearby store you practically had to have your wallet out before they'd bring out a dog for you to handle. Most of the puppies sold here in South Florida come through the same distribution network. Sure, some breeders are better than others. But the real variance is in the price the stores are asking. The prices at Love my Puppy have always been fair and reasonable. Some other customers complained about: THE ODOR - The store is clean. They're cleaning a mopping continuously. I shopped practically every store in Broward and Boca. This was the absolute cleanest. All the puppies are in cribs right in the middle of the store. There's nothing to hide. At one nearby store they used commercial sized air freshener systems throughout the store. We watched through glass as someone was cleaning cages. We saw at least five 2" roaches running around the back room. Sometimes cleanliness is simply a perception. Sometimes it's real. ACCESSORIES - They sell accessories, food, etc. They stock most everything I've ever needed and certainly all the basics each time I purchased a puppy. The prices have always been reasonable considering they're not a chain. Given an option I would rather pay the same price or a couple percent more to get the advice of the owner and staff who have been in this business for decades. read more

Purchased my white Yorky for $2195. Bought an additional $500 (after a 25% discount )worth of equipment. Took my dog to the vet that they recommend and they said it was the wrong food etc. and that was OK. You are supposed to get a complementary grooming from their grooming department within the first two weeks of purchase. I had to go out of town unexpectedly my two weeks were up on Friday. On Monday I called when I got back into town to see about getting my complementary grooming and to start scheduling my regular grooming's. I was told by two different people even Gina who I purchased the dog from that their rule was very strict it had to be two weeks. A complementary $20 wash has lost them a very good customer. They have extremely poor customer service skills. read more

Went to this place on my search for the perfect puppy and this was by far one of the best spots we went to. Everything was clean, as soon as the pups had their little accidents they attended to it immediately. The puppies in there were beautiful, they looked so well taken care of, they each had their own play pen and were so full of life, I can only assume that that's a direct reflection of how they treat the dogs, fed well, treated well! The prices of the dogs were similar to many of the places we were looking at and they even throw in some starter puppy things like a cage, bed, complimentary 1st grooming in the first 2 weeks. Gina was an absolute sweet heart, she let us look at the dogs on our own, no rushing, no pressure, and she was so informative. I could not believe the terrible reviews I have read. My family and I have used love my puppy in the past for grooming. We have been to both former and current locations. Never did I smell anything awful or out of the ordinary, as a matter of fact, I always thought how clean it was and how hard it must be with so many pups. We recently decided to add another pup to our family, naturally they were the first company we thought of. So we went in the other day and were greeted by the owner, who we have met on numerous occasions. She listened to our concerns and helped us find the perfect pup to fit into our home and lifestyle. In my opinion they truly care about the pups and want to make perfect matches that will last forever. The sweet Yorkipoo that we adopted has an amazing temperament. She is very laid back but can also be playful. This is exactly what we were looking for since this is the temperament that our 9 year old Maltese has. I'm so thankful for the input the owner provided about the pups we were interested in. She really helped us find a great fit and we couldn't be happier with our experience! read more

I've got to stick with the trend on rating this place. When we walked in, it smelled like wet dog and other canine condiments. I smelled worse, but that's not a good sign. They had really cute doggie duds, but at unrealistic prices and they didn't look very well made. Then there were the puppies. They were kept in cribs far enough back that you couldn't really see them. They were all mixed breeds except one. So, for a mix of a Yorkie and a Maltese, they want around $2000! Seriously folks? You can go to the Humane Society and get the same thing for under $100 and save a life at the same time. The one pure breed, a bulldog, was priced at $3500! You can go to a reliable breeder and get a dog with a championship pedigree for $1000 less. I suspect that these pups are coming from puppy mills that are pouring out badly bred mixes and giving them cute names, like, "Morky" (Maltese, Yorkie) to make you think you're getting something special. Want a puppy? Go to a reliable breeder or, better yet, your local rescue and do it right. read more

I love my puppy more than anything in the world. She's beautiful, well-behaved, and treated like a princess. But it makes me sick to know where she comes from. When she first arrived, the store said I couldn't take her home because she was still "too small." They assured me she was old enough to be away from her mother. But after what I've discovered about her "breeder," I know this was most likely a pitiful attempt to cover up a puppy sold way too young. You see, I was looking through her records and I noticed that my puppy's parents' names were really strange. Suspicious, I spotted her breeder name, so I decided to do a quick google search. Turns out, he is listed as a serious "puppy mill" offender. He sells to Petland, as well as numerous other puppy stores, from what Google Maps revealed to be a tiny Kansas shack. I also found the lovely citation he received for "inadequate veterinary care" from the state. While I love my dog more than anything, it kills me to know that in purchasing her, I was supporting the inhumane treatment of animals and an abusive puppy mill. I've paid thousands in veterinary bills fixing the kennel cough and infections she had from this puppy store, pulling the 22 baby teeth that never fell out after her adult teeth came in (a sign of poor breeding), and numerous other conditions. I just hope one day stores like this will be prevented from abusing animals, or at least forced to be totally forthright in their business practices. read more

I promise I am not a paid reviewer when you read what you're about to read. Yesterday my wife went pet shopping the only way everyone does these days- through social media! She sent me over 15 places that we could have gone to within 10 miles of our house all with over 4 stars on google. She then proceeded to call every single store. After over an hour of being on the phone (while I'm at work) she tells me that there are only 4 places she wants to check out after speaking to the person on the phone. As a man, I wanted to go to the closest one first (so I can avoid driving), but she insisted we go to the one that treated her the BEST first. We get there, and I tell my wife that we are NOT going to buy something right away (I want to shop around first to get the best price). 2 seconds in, she finds the one she loves most (a black toy poodle) and again I remind her that we have to go shopping around before leaving with a dog. After speaking with the person who spoke to my wife on the phone AND the actual OWNERS of the location, I just couldn't say no. Of course I wanted to stay in budget, and my credit isn't so great so I didn't even consider running it to finance the dog. Again, after speaking with everyone and them assuring me that with my (sub par) credit score that I might still get approved, they were right!! I left extremely happy with a puppy, a HUGE credit for in store items, a doggy bag, and a happy wife! Not to mention the relationship I built with these people in such a short time was priceless. Look at the negative reviews first! This place is something else. I bought what I thought was, and advertised as, a tea cup Chihuahua, but in reality is a mini pin (DNA results don't lie). Fine, I love the pooch so ok, right? Nope. Decided the little pup needed a companion. After months of be being strung along, they find me a Chihuahua. (didn't know about the other one's breed before getting the second) Good? Nope. First of all the little pup didn't get a bath before it went home. No biggie? Nope. The pup had a virus that cost me an additional $700 to get cleared up. Oh, and its skull didn't close completely, something Brad Butzor, the supposed Vet from Clint Moore Animal Hospital, the preferred Vet of this place, seemed to miss on the health certificate. Run away from here. The negative reviews are true and are not exaggerated. If the smell of poop when you walk in the place doesn't put you off, the fact that you will either get a dog that is not the breed you wanted, or a sick canine that will cost a lot more to get better, should cause you to go elsewhere. read more
