They have such an amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. The Director of the facility really cares about the children and works with the parents daily. It's everything you would expect when trusting your child's care to someone else. The facility is clean and well taken care of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers can help each other out. It's obvious that the CDC staff puts a lot of time and energy into the well thought out room designs. They are fun and interactive for the kids to explore and grow as children. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk through their doors. My son has now moved up through their system and is in the toddler rooms now. The teachers really try to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. All the teachers in the infant and toddler rooms love having him and he loves seeing them. And best of all, the children seem very happy there. When I see my son interact with the other kids, they are attentive and share toys with him and give him hugs whenever he comes and goes. It's very nice to know that he is in a caring environment while he isn't home. I can see the growth and learning every day! The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and I'm very thankful to Children's Discovery Center and the whole CDC team. I love this place and so does my son. My child is happy and thriving, which makes me a happy parent.

Great school! The education is top-notch. Almost all of the students who attend St. Rose score very…read morehighly on the placement test at one of the local Catholic high schools. The school community has a very "homey" atmosphere, and most of the students know each other from kidnergarten to eighth grade. The only thing I have noticed here is some mild racism. The school is VASTLY white and Catholic. There is only one African American kid in the whole preschool-eighth grade school. There is not any bigotry toward Asian, Native American, or Hispanic children, but I have noticed much racism towards the one African American child. Like I said, almost everyone here is Catholic besides being white, and the whole people that aren't are of another Christian faith.

I just went back for the first time in years, for a reunion, and got to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. The buildings have changed, quite a bit. The campus is much the same- the school is set back in the woods and ravines. The education experience has not changed. Yes, there is more technology. But small class sizes and a commitment to preparing students for the world are still important. The academic education is great, but athletics, ethics, and awareness of the diversity of cultures out there also figure in. It's a college prep school and I was prepared, as current students are, for the college experience. Start your kids in preschool if you can, or get them in for high school. You won't regret it.

They will tell you they've changed, but I don't think so. The cliques and bullies are rampant and the nuns are complicit. All the good extra-curricular activities (play, yearbook) went to clique members coddled by the nuns. This is an important time in your child's life, and the lack of confidence that the experience causes will be a lifetime consequence. You are not helping your child by paying to send her to this private school. It's better to send her to a public school and encourage and pay for her to participate in activities, clubs, even travel. Most importantly, if your child is telling you she is being shamed and bullied, and the nuns are part of it, BELIEVE HER.
