Love Nail Spa does a decent job on manicures and pedicures. Price is pretty much average. The negative is trying to make an appointment with them. About 50% of the time when I call to make an appointment, their phone line is either busy, or the person picks up the phone and I can hear them on the other end taking a payment from a customer, and then they hang up. Another time or two, they have said, can you please hold, and 10 minutes later I'm still on hold. I tried repeatedly to call back and they leave the phone off the hook, so all you get is a busy signal. They need a better system to make appointments. Calling them to schedule something just isn't working! Very frustrating! Will start looking for another nail salon in the Waukesha area because of this. Horrible job! I've never had a manicure, so I went in for a French. I asked for them to be round. They are poorly shaped and poorly painted. The nails are shaped crookedly and are rough around the edges. They were not very friendly. I only could figure out what to do because other guests told me what to do. Horrible experience. They refuse to honor their guarantee and wanted to try to "fix" an entire hand of dip polish by grinding the top layer off my nails and then adding an entire new layer which is only going to add to the cracking problem as the material was applied incorrectly and to thick to begin with. The receptionist was completely rude and refused to do anything to help. In addition to this, my girlfriend who has been going to this salon for years recently had fungus under her nail polish as they did not fully remove her gel polish at her last manicure. I've patronized Love Nail since 2018 and had been generally satisfied with the results. The nail tech who I generally used left there, so I had to try a new technician. I generally get my nails done every 2 to 3 weeks and they lasted nicely with my former tech. However, in less than 1 week, my thumb nail popped off. I made an appointment to get it redone. When I called, I was asked if I still had my receipt. When I replied no, I was asked who the technician was who did my nails. I named him, and asked if there would be a charge. At 1st I was told yes, $5 without a receipt. But after talking to the person who booked my appointment - she agreed that my nail should not have popped off and said no charge. Long story short, I was charged. I mentioned I was promised no charge for getting the nail redone. I told what time I called so the person who spoke to me could be identified. Mistakes happen and tech cut my toe and was bleeding for a period of time.. I asked what happened and language barrier was an issue- asked to talk to manager. My wife and I visited Love Nail Spa on January 8, 2019. We decided to switch up date night and do something different and get pedicures together. During the pedicure, my technician was too aggressive and cut too deep in my nail bed. It was and still is quite painful. Aside from the pain, I began to bleed. She did her best to stop the bleeding, but it unfortunately kept up throughout the pedicure. It even continued for several hours and into the morning. We informed the receptionist at the desk, but she said there was nothing she could do, but the manager would be in contact with us. We filled out the card and left a description of what happened, but we have still not heard from anyone. I've called twice today and the lady that answered the phone took my info and said she would send it to the manager right away. Still no phone call. This was the worst nail appointment I've ever had. I had Vicki and as soon as I sat down, her and other consultants were laughing at the state of my nails when I came in. Gossiping and coming up to look at my nails and then laughing at me. Then when she told me to go wash my hands, I used soap because she didn't say otherwise. And she decided to yell at me from across the room "no! Stop! No soap no soap". This was so inappropriate and led to more belittling laughter towards me. I had an appointment on 7/28 and it's safe to say I will not be returning. I will start off my noting that the final product of my nails look okay for the most part but the process it took to get there was absolutely awful. While getting my nails filed the nail tech cut 2 of my fingers open (not just a superficial cut either). I pulled my hand away in pain and he continued to file in the open wound with a dirty nail file and did not change to new or clean products. I finally asked him to move on to other fingers because what he was doing was painful and i was worried about potential infection from the unclean utensils. Then in the process of putting polish on my nails he messed up 6 out of 10 nails and had to go 3 steps back (i did not ask him to do this he acknowledged that he messed up and just started fixing them after apologizing). When his colleagues realized he had messed up all of those nails they continued to hover over him and myself watching him attempt to fix them. I spent an hour and a half in the salon (did not have to wait upon arrival) and ended up paying $70 for the WORST service I have ever had. When I was checking out the tech stood over me while I was attempting to fill out the survey making it difficult to write my comments. I absolutely would never come to this place. I came in and asked for dip (not my first time). And showed a picture the tech said she could do. I showed her the length and shape I wanted and nothing turned out correct. I, like many, was embarrassed to say anything so I contacted the salon who agreed to help make it right. The technician they put me with to fix the situation made me feel so stupid! Told me there was nothing wrong and even brought the tech from yesterday into the conversation which was incredibly awkward. Told me "I can't fix this they're too short" which I explained I didn't ask for that length and continued to tell me my nails were fine. My issues: #1 If you couldn't do the design - you shouldn't have agreed! #2 I specifically asked for a certain length and got a different one than asked. That wouldn't have been as big a deal except I was told they can't fix it, I'd have to pay? #3 My nails are all different shapes and crooked. #4 my cuticles are torn up from using the tool on my skin??? I have never had this done. There was also so much dip on my SKIN that my skin is breaking open. I will accept the responsibility that I should have said something but I was shy and am not quick to complain. But after coming back and being shamed? That is on the business. read more

This is my favorite place to get my nails done. This is embarrassing, but I bite my nails a lot due to stress. The staff is very professional and gentle with my nails. I used to fear going to get my nails done because other places were rough and I would always end up getting hurt. However, the staff at this place are dreamy. I used to love this place, however after my last experience and the treatment afterwards will never go again. I came in for a dip manicure before my vacation, the man who did my nails seemed very annoyed and definitely gave off that vibe. He cut the skin around and under my nails on 8/10 fingers, as well as leaving top coat all over the top of my fingers as seen in the pictures. I was actively bleeding on at least 4 fingers where he kept putting alcohol on top to try to stop the bleeding. After I was done and was checking out, I told the receptionist who stated she would let him know. Wasn't offered a discount or anything, but I paid and sent a message asking a manager to call me where they read it but did not respond. I then called Wednesday morning and was told that no manager was there today but someone would call me Thursday morning. I stopped in Wednesday night also just to show how terrible my nails looked. No one called me Thursday morning, but instead I did yet again. I spoke to the receptionist who must have known who I was at this point. She talked to the manager who stated they could give me 50% off my next service. I stated I did not feel like coming back there given the poor service I received and was still receiving. I asked if I could just be offered a refund as I paid for something where I left injured and it's poor quality, and was told they don't do that. This might be my new regular spot. I made the mistake of coming in on a Saturday. It was PACKED. But that was something I expected and luckily I had the foresight to make an appointment. They were right on time with my pedicure and manicure, which was very much appreciated. The pedicure was one of the best I've had. Despite the chaos up front, the pedicure room is separated and was very peaceful. Felt like I was in a spa; it was great to relax. I had a shellac manicure, which was maybe a bit rushed. But honestly, that's what I'd prefer as I get so inpatient. He did a great job and the mani lasted a full two weeks, which is SO rare for me. The icing on top was that the prices are super reasonable even with the spa- like feel. Definitely right in the average $30-$40 ballpark for each service. I'll be back! read more

So disappointed with my pedicure. I went with two other people and they didn't have great results either. The foot massage was nice, but the technicians were not friendly. My nails were not shaped evenly. When I pointed out that the polish was bubbly on some nails, they redid those nails and they turned out bubbly the second time. i went to get my acrylics filled because the last place i went to did not do well. so i recommended this place for my friend n i to get a refill and repair them. when i showed them the design i wanted, they were not confident so i recommended a different picture example. when i was getting my nails filled, they used the wrong color. since i wanted cat eye design.. you're supposed to use a magnet. the nail tech drew one solid line of color down my nails and cured them. i told them i wanted the other color and they jus put the new color on top of the other color. after i got them done i was not happy at ALL. getting in the car, my nails were soft. i am now writing this the day after and my nail polish is ripping off and all of the nail polish underneath that is not cured, is melting off. taking them off IMMEDIATELY when i get home and never going back. 11/11/21 I stopped in having never been here before just to get a dip manicure I had gotten elsewhere taken off. The hostess was NOT friendly or welcoming at all. She didn't really look at me, smile, or make eye contact. I sat down where I was told to. The guy that took my dip off did a good and quick job. However, I wouldn't go here if you get uncomfortable easily. These workers seem very unhappy & as if they don't want to be there. The worker next to me was talking about how he got so drunk last night off beer, and just topics you wouldn't expect in a nail salon setting, let alone coming from an employee. I enjoy getting my nails done here. I usually have Lisa who is absolutely fantastic, but I've had a few others who are just as good.
