The owner is rude. I've come on serval occasions and was denied service because they were "busy". I be also called to make appointments and was told they don't make appointments. But have been told they were too busy because they have appointments. I would never return. read more

Appointments are a must , due to the fact that there is a high volume at this salon and he likes to ensure a non rushed, quality service to ALL of his clients. The owner is rude. He answers the phone while he is doing your nails and schedules appointments while you are sitting at the table in the middle of your manicure without even apologizing; he tells you if you are late for your appointment he won't be able to take you, yet I was kept waiting twice once for 15 mins and again for 20 mins while the worker I had the appointment with and who saw me come in went into the back room on her cell phone for 20 mins. The owner warns you if you are late you won't be taken yet they keep YOU waiting with no apology until I finally said something....all I got was "I sorry." Very unpleasant treatment. This has been my favorite nail salon in the area. It doesn't matter who you get, they take their time and do a great job. The only downfalls for me are: their location, parking is such a pain because of Walmart and the poorly planned parking lot. Secondly, because they will take their time and do a good job I have to give myself enough time. The first few times I went here I wanted to just quickly pop in and out and then go on with my day. The $25 gel manicure I got here lasted 2 days before having large chips and peeling off. Usually gel polish will last 2 weeks for me. Very disappointing. I decided to go here to get a pedicure done before leaving for my honeymoon. When I arrived the salon was running a special on pedicures so I figured it was my lucky day. I requested french tips to match my manicure (which had been done elsewhere) and I was told it would be $5 extra. No big deal. I was seated in the pedicure seat but the whole process took well over an hour and a half not to mention that the stylist was bouncing back and forth between myself and another customer. The tips were a faint white line with barely any paint what-so-ever. Certainly not worth the $5 extra when picking a solid color would of probably showed up better. I ended up leaving because I was running late and didn't have time to fight it. I went home and had to touch up the job myself. Fantastic service. Been here a couple of times with my mom for some girls' days and have never been disappointed. Gel manicures, regular manicures, pedicures, all have been fantastic. Every technician is friendly, clean, and great at what they do. Even when it is busy they give you attention when you walk in and do their best to pay attention to their work but also get to other clients in a timely manner. We have never waited more than 15 minutes for a service. Beautiful salon as well! Will continue to come here whenever I'm in the area!! read more

Recently moved here from DC and have been searching for a pink & white capable salon - found Steven (the owner) tonight and he did an excellent job. Definitely found my nail place away from home! Came by this place with my sisters for some mani/Pedi's and it was extremely clean! I was surprised at how clean and nice the owner(Steven) and his wife(Tina) were. Unfortunately we had to bring our children with us, but Steven did not mind one bit. He had candy for the kids and was kind to them. I would give it a 0 if I could. I read that this location the staff takes their time and they make sure that you come out satisfied. Well........ I'm unsatisfied!! Why? I went twice with my mom to get "pampered " with manicures, pedicures and my mom wanted a fill in. BOTH times we were turned away. The first time the owner, ( I could tell he owns the salon because he was the only one who addressed me) he said that he apologized that they had too many people and to please come back at 7 pm. Needless to say that's the time they close. So I had to get services done elsewhere and I wasn't satisfied either. I went again today thinking " Let me get there early enough because I want a manicure and pedicure ". I walked in with my mom again and again we were turned down. The same man that turned us away the first time said that they had an appointment coming soon and they close at 7 pm. That they didn't have a place for us. I feel like they didn't have time to make new customers and could care less if they get more referrals from satisfied customers. I'm completely upset only because I wanted to find a decent place to get my nails done and get pampered. I come from New York where nail technicians are willing to do anything to make and keep customers. I read in previous reviews that they don't take appointments if you call. That's why I decided to walk in for services. This place may be "great" but for a specific clientele. It's not for everyone. I decided to try this place based on previous poster's review. The haircut I got was decent and the price was on par with general haircuts in Lancaster. I didn't get a cut from the owner Jerry, but during the cut, he came over a few times suggesting I should get highlights, eyelashes, or other procedures done. I politely declined. Today I went back for Japanese straightening since I didn't want to drive to Philly or NYC where I got it done before. I was given a price before I went in, about 5 hours later, my hair is oily and it looks awful, and I'm $200+ short. This place (Jerry) lacks integrity and skills. This is not my first Japanese straightening so I know a bit about the process. Apparently, Jerry didn't. He kept burning my scalp with the blow dryer and flat iron after I yelled a couple of ouches. He couldn't care less that my scalp hurts a few hours after the straightening. He also kept selling products to me which irritated me. When it was all done, he told me he added another treatment and he needed to charge extra. I just let it go because I was tired and didn't want to make a scene. I thought I had a choice of whether I want treatments in my hair or not, apparently, not here. The funny part is, when I was leaving, one of the hair stylists looked at me and said, "This is it? You're leaving like this?" I didn't know what to say about the awful experience and just left. Stay away from this place if you don't want to say to yourself, "It's just hair, it'll grow back" You shouldn't have to say that EVER! Lesson learned, there is no decent salon in Lancaster that can do Asian hair...at least not well. read more

RIPPED OFF....On 9-4-2014, I called and asked for the price for a Gel Nail Fill with French Manicure polish. The man on the phone said 25 dollars. I set up the appointment right then for an hour later. I went in and as I was in the process of getting the manicure, the man at the place came over and said that he had given me the wrong quote, that it would be 30 dollars for what I had requested. I was clearly upset and told him so. But I agreed to pay the 30 dollars, I told the girl working on my nails that he should honor his original quote that he gave over the phone. She said "i just work for them" About ten minutes later he came over again and said to her that it is 35 dollars not 30 dollars. I thought I was on candid camera!!! OMG REALLY?? I should have walked out right then, even with my nails all messed up! I didn't say another word the entire time. It took her 1.5 hours to do a gel fill, she did a nice job but nothing special. I paid the 35 dollars and gave her a 5 dollar tip because it wasn't her fault. I will NEVER go there again for any service nor would I recommend anyone to go there.
