I met Jenny, the extremely nice owner, and she says she can insert orchids in any pot that you bring in as well. She has quite a nice seleciton of potted orchids in her shop. They had a great selection of Christmas Cactus during our last visit. We took Sweet Granddaughter to see the lilacs, roses, and what was left of the cherry blossoms and camellias. She loves to visit the gift shop, and asked for several items, including a card that she could give her mom for Mother's Day. She insisted on choosing a little dahlia plant for me to have, as well. Like a said, "Sweet". We have our ritual of visiting the gardens, then stopping in the shop as a last hurrah. I enjoy seeing how they rotate and display the seasonal merchandise. Since the remodeling, it's even better for visual arrays of goods. The prices are full retail, but they are making money to help support the gardens overall, so I don't begrudge them that. It's also valuable that their buyer(s) choose some diverse items that aren't repetitive with other shops.

Pippi the cat is the friendliest and softest cat you'll ever meet--literally the most perfect bookshop kitty! The selection of children's book is wonderful. The store is incredibly inviting to children and adults alike. There are a ton of events for kids as well as book clubs for adults. (I've gone to an adult book club meeting and had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people!) the store also carries a ton of signed editions which makes book buying even more special! They also have jellycat stuffed animals which are so cute and soft! It's a great place to buy books and gifts. There is plenty of free parking in the lot behind the store in the public parking area, as well as metered parking right out front.
