Would be zero star. Ive been going here for years, quality is up and down. They pay pennies so majority of employees there reflect that low quality especially with how far it is from the nearest town. Most of the employees are crackheads. How good the carls junior is completely depends on who is there. The gangster wanna be kid thats always playing rap has a good attitude but hes very slow and the fries are always stale if he is there. The loud Mexican manager lady is super annoying fries always stale. Extremely common for the Carl's to only have ONE employee on there running like a chicken with their head cut off. You can commonly expect to wait 30 mins to no fault of theirs. Maybe if they actually paid people they could hold an employee for more than a week. Dont even think of going to the truck shop I wouldnt trust them to air up a tire. The coffee for the last year has turned into a bio weapon, I opened each machine today and they are ALL full of mold. My main gripes are with the higher ups here and the surrounding area. Boardman is a town of nothing but degenerates. They would have to pay enough for people to want to drive out there and pay enough that they can root out all the degenerates. They have had many great employees over time but they never stay because they dont get paid enough. read more

My experience here was Flat out AWFUL. I wish I could start this day over (it's 6am) and avoid this place at all cost. Me and my husband like to look around at places, sometimes it takes us a little bit to get what we need/want and check out.... We were not in this place 10 minutes and were being obviously followed by staff, they were saying rude and un honest things about us in front of customers. (Assuming we were shoplifting) So unprofessional and not to mention degrading when you're being lied about to strangers. This is for Carl Junior's, I eat here quit a few times and was there yesterday and got food poisoning and learned by getting on here, they pre cook there food at 10:00 from another review. I am very disappointed because I love there Jalapeño burger. I let the manager know and was offered a free meal if I came back, what a joke! I just don't want anyone else to get sick! This is an amazing stop, even considering it's basically the only stop for a WHILE! My Brother goes to college four and a half hours away from me. When he's driving past here, he always stops here AT LEAST once. On the way there, or on the way back, from college. He and I are in agreement on many things. First being the cleanliness level. We BOTH think it's outstanding in the store AND in the bathroom! Second, we both agree they have a great variety in terms of what's available for purchase, and what flavors, etc, are available to purchase of those items. Now personally I love Carl's Jr. (My Brother's vegetarian, so he's not able to get much, but does love it too.) I think this is a great Carl's Jr. location. I'm always shocked that typically the locations that are shared/joint with something, are the better locations. It's also pretty big. Big store, big Carl's Jr. Even big bathrooms and a big parking lot! Which isn't always something you see. We always stop here, and always have a great time because we know we'll be able to get what we want, in a nice place. Left Medford Oregon on my way to Richland Washington and this is the place I stopped at for gas and a rest break. Super easy to get in and out for regular vehicles for fueling up. The inside store is super clean as well as the bathrooms. Ice tea and fresh lemon aid brewed and cups and ice was filled up like always. Staff was super friendly inside the store and the pump areas had plenty of trash containers and window cleaner. Definitely would stop here again. read more

Without a doubt, one of the worst truck stops EVER. Seriously, WHO DESIGNED THIS? Lanes for the pumps are very narrow and there are parking spaces literally next to the outer lanes, so bigger rigs can't get in and out AT ALL. Stopped here at loves to get a tire changed, and Isaiah and Dakota was great. Very outgoing and funny and real. Dakota was the man, he changed my tire with ease and fast as possible with knowledge, he checked all my tires made sure everything was good and then he changed them. Dakota and Isaiah was talking to me and laughing and just having a good old time like old friends, love people like that. I really appreciate them both and will definitely come by again for other things needed and tires changed and or fixed. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends, they are not my go to guys. Thank you both for your honesty, openness and great conversation. Between Bend and the Tri-cities this became my go to for gas. Easy access, and a dog run. I didn't actually use the run, per se, I just walked my dog on the large grassy area, but it gave me the opportunity to do so while the tank filled up. Window washing tools, a clean gas station, and the dog run make this a recommended stopping point if you're traveling with your hound. I even caved in and grabbed Carl's Jr from the drive through (since there wasn't much else recommended nearby). I usually love these because they have more options for food on road trips and also they have cute gifts to look at. I've never rated a gas station before but the operation s manager checked us out and he was downright rude. I tried use my paypal card which sometimes declines with some machines, I'm not sure why. So it declined and I tried again and it declined again so I payed cash and said hmmm sometimes it doesn't like certain machines. The guy snorted and said sarcastically, "yeah, must be OUR machine... we'll pretend that's why your card declined. Boardman, OR... Traveling through and we needed fuel for the truck and the people. The truck didn't have any complaints on its meal, and neither did the people. Clean location but an incredibly long wait for gas. Usually one person pumping gas. Knowing how many people in the area are looking for work, it must greed causing such low staffing. Carl's Jr is located inside the truck stop but don't bother. They won't any it when they short your order. They're expensive and take an inordinately long time to serve. This review is for the Carl's Jr. Located within the Love's Travel Stop in Boardman, Oregon off of Tower Rd. Unfortunately there isn't a listing just for the Carl's Jr.. Went in on 10/20/17 at around 8:10pm and the place was packed with people waiting for their food. Many people were visibly annoyed because there didn't seem to be a shortage of employees working behind the counter... one couple had been noticeably waiting a while based on their visible and verbal disapproval... the lady kept saying "that person ordered after us and they already received their food". Then I started noticing the same thing happen to them 2 more times. As I observed, it appeared the employees either didn't use their computer thing correctly that shows the orders and were just randomly filling orders, but not in first come, first served fashion. I personally waited approximately 20 minutes to get my "food" which I actually gave back and requested a refund. More about this in a moment. So I am watching the goings on behind the counter. I had plenty of time after all. First I notice It appears drive through customers take priority as there is a visible timer on the wall that resets with each car... This may be why the many of the walk-In customers were getting annoyed, or else people were just very hungry and cranky... The drive thru observation really isn't a big deal for me but I did feel it worth mentioning. Next I notice one young male employee with gloved hands come from the food prep area and flick one of the girl's ears with his gloved hand... Gross!... then he walked to the drive thru and then back to the food prep area... He did not take off these gloves... I see this same girl whose ear was flicked pick at her ear several times while handling the wrapped food... yes it is wrapped but still, gross. I see someone whom I will assume is a manager just allowing this stuff to happen (sorry to use physical descriptions but I had failed to get names... He is a heavy set guy with very short lighter colored hair). Food is being tossed around by the employees, aggressively throwing into the trash. One burger or whatever pretty much exploded on contact with the side of the trash can and something flew out near the French Fry holding area... another gross. About 15 minutes has passed and most everyone has received their food... most everyone was given an apology by a young female employee who kept saying things like "I have no idea why this took so long"... So I'm starting to get annoyed and grossed out by what I'd seen, but have yet to say anything. Last straw for me though was when ear flicker guy pretty much drops food in to a bag, ends up dropping the bag of food on the ground, kinda look around quickly but then proceeded to play it off as if it didn't happen. The heavy set manager guy mumbles something to ear flicker guy, pulls out a different bag, transfers the food that was dropped on the floor into the new bag and gives to the ear flicker who then calls out "#42"... guess who the lucky person is to have that number... this guy. I immediately told ear flicker "you dropped my food on the floor and you're going to give me that same food? Are you kidding me"... he says "it didn't fall out of the bag", as if this makes things better. If I personally dropped my bagged food, I'd probably use that rationale and would move on with my food but... but after seeing all of what I did, who knows what else goes on in the non-visible areas of this place. So the heavy set manager guys knows I'm upset, says "you want a refund?", opens the drawer and hands me my money back with no apology or anything. Now I realize fast food workers are typically very young and really aren't at the point of caring about customers... we take our chances when we go to fast food joints which is why I rarely go unless they are somewhat reputable. Even then you never really know. Even nice restaurants have their issues. I realize maybe I'm asking a lot to at least try and not be gross with your food handling. I honestly don't think they have an owner who cares. Perhaps because there are so many people who are traveling through this location and this is the closest thing for many miles... so you get what you get... anyway... I highly recommend avoiding this Carl's Jr. at this truck stop... I'm seriously considering filing a complaint with whatever entity oversees health code in this area though I'm quite certain this wouldn't do any good considering the plain sight things going on and no one even appearing remotely concerned. read more

Had an oil change done couple days ago, thought everything was ok after New Years was doing a pre trip inspection noticed my oil cap was missing, called the office the lady over the phone had to call me back because they needed to review the video. She calls me back telling me they not at fault for the oil cap because I was invited in to the shop to start the truck for the guy to check the oil level, while I started the truck and turned it off my co driver went over the truck with flash light and notice the cap gone then but didn't think much of it because the lube tech was still checking the oil level, any ways now I feel like if they forgot to put the oil cap back on, what else did he forget to do not to mention now I have to waist more time and money driving to a shop to buy new oil cap at my own expense. read more

This Carl's Hamburger is an Outhouse. We ordered 2 Carl's $.600 burgers. They were cold. And there are so many flies we thought we were in an outhouse. I complained to an employee and she said they were killing flies all the time. I told her no your not other wise the flies wouldn't be there. And then she shrugged her shoulders and turned away. If they aren't concerned about Customer Service and healthy eating place, I will never go there again. read more

NEWLY DEIGNED DISASTER! Almost 3/4 of the pumps were out of service. One attendant helping with those that were opened. Refused to get gas there because of the wait. Upon exiting our truck and trailer barely made it through due to the punched off turn they designed. Not in a diesel truck so going out the truck exit was not an option. This place has the worst service I've ever experienced. I'm moving and decided to stop in Boardman for the night with my children. We went to Carl's Jr. for dinner and the service there was fantastic. The food was great, it was a little bit of a wait but they gave us a cookies in apologies. Everyone was smiling and laughing, Mya was. especially the Allison girl, she was kind to my shy son. The blonde woman at the store was kind as well. I think her name was Sandra or Susan. The crew made the experience fantastic. So I decided to go there the next morning before we headed back on the road, we didn't go to Carl's Jr. i went into the store. I walked in, no greeting at all. The environment felt hostile. I got up to the counter, the lady's name was Bonnie, and was talked to with nothing but attitude, and rudeness. The bathroom was a mess, I didn't feel welcome, it was the complete opposite from the previous night. And I thought all fast food service was terrible. In fact you might want to train the morning shift to act more like the night shift. That's the first thing people have to get greeted with in the morning, if I could I'd rate this zero stars.
