    The Trucker

WOW! I was not expecting this place to have the best breakfast I've had in years. On my way to Stonehenge, was disappointed by the lack of options on the way. Pulled over to use the restroom, and saw they had food. I ordered The Trucker. Best hash browns I've ever had! Moist. The eggs are farm fresh, and the chef cooks them perfectly. The coffee tastes great too. This place is amazing. Stop by!

They had an awesome roasted cranberry, turkey, and stuffing sandwich, grilled like a patty melt. It was delicious. Fries nice and crispy. It's nice to have a quality place literally miles from anything else. I'd go here again if I happen to be in the neighborhood.

Heading down Highway 14 E. along the Columbia River the sign reads no gas for 85 miles, it's hot really hot 95+ The air conditioning stopped working two hours ago the sweat in my eyes is making it difficult to see but it looks like a Pepsi sign in the distance! The sign is old and weathered as I approach the town of Roosevelt my cooler is now the same temperature of the cab of this truck hot very hot I'm so thirsty. It's a small country store! Columbia River country store. It's a small grocery and café the food is quite good the beverages are cold and they have comfortable seating with air-conditioning this is definitely an oasis.

    The 2/3 lb burger choice.

Prior to the landfill, Roosevelt was little more than a whistle stop with a dive bar and a couple of other now derelict businesses.

Nothing special about the area or the exterior of the restaurant at all, but once we stepped in we were greeted with amazing hospitality and ginormous portions of food! We both ordered chicken fried steak and eggs, which included freshly grated hash browns (we requested to be well done) and your choice of toast (we chose sourdough). The portion was impressive and everything was delicious. Some breakfast places usually make their fried steak out of ground beef but to our surprise it was real, thinly pounded steak! Super tender with great crisp and flavor. Really liked the homemade country gravy on top too, Hash browns and egg were perfect as well. Atmosphere was clean and cozy, had vintage decor and some interesting taxidermy on the walls. Seemed like a popular spot with locals who were mainly sitting at the bartop scratching away at stacks of lotto tickets. Overall great little spot for food, wish we had the time and belly room to try their homemade cinnamon rolls! If ever we pass by in the future we'd dine in again. :)

It might've been a bad thing as I probably would've been there 3 to 4 times every day that I was in town. The girls at the doctor office that I was working that had the menu sitting on one of the tables in the lunch room. I picked it up and looked at it a few times but did not think anything of it. On my very last day in town I decided I was gonna go try it out, and boy am I glad that I did. They are on the corner across from some homes, so it's a little hard to find a parking spot. I was able to park on the street but I did have to parallel park, thank God I know how. I already had a coffee for the day, so I decided to go with one of their lemonades. They had some pretty exotic flavors to try as a lemonade, but I decided to keep it on the low and get a raspberry strawberry combination. Because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I only got a small. While waiting for my lemonade to be made, I walked around and looked at all the cute decor. Got my lemonade and walked out to my car where I took my first sip. I had to get to the airport, which was a 2 Hour Dr., but I thought to myself, man I should go get a large because this is wonderful. It was not overly tart with lemonade, and it had just the right amount of strawberry and raspberry flavoring. I love the type of ice that they use. It reminds me of sonics where it's the little ice chip pellets. Some of my favorite type of ice. When I say I've never had a lemonade that tasted like this it's the truth. I love me a Starbucks, but I also love going and checking out local coffee shops. If I'm ever in town, I will definitely be going back and definitely getting a large..

It shares the same building and name of choice with Silvia's tax service, so we're glad to help a family business. Hot chocolates were good, well priced, and the bagel was surprisingly good. Would return if we lived in the area.
