If you're doing the KC to STL trip, it's always good to find a stop right off I-70 either before or after Columbia, and this one around Boonville is well-timed. Just about 2 hours from either big city, it's the perfect middle stop. There are other options like QuikTrip on the other side, but I felt like changing it up. While this is a fine stop, it's a little tight in here. There were a decent amount of people but we felt more smushed in like an NYC bodega than a big wide middle-of-nowhere rest stop. Bathrooms were clean, snacks were plentiful, and it's a perfect spot to try to avoid some road trip junk food but eventually succumb to it! read more

The gas station is fine but I would not recommend the dog park. Neither set of gate doors will latch securely at all so someone has to stand in front of them to ensure dogs don't run out. It's practically a mud pit. Plastic dog waste bags that have come loose from the holder flying around everywhere. Worst of all it seems everyone has decided it's okay to leave their dog's waste all over the park. Despite my best efforts I still left with poop on both of my shoes. If they are going to have a dog park on the premises I would suggest management take a look at it every once in a while to ensure it is usable. We were the only people who used it out of several dog owners there and now I can see why. read more

You gotta "love" Love's Travel Stops. After a number of trips across I-70 between Columbus and Denver, I always look for a Love's when it's time for fuel or for a bio break. Love's locations are very consistent in terms of cleanliness and convenience. They are always well stocked, with plenty of parking and a helpful staff. This Love's was no different. It was clean, well-stocked and the staff was pleasant and helpful. I've stopped at this Love's in the past and will stop here again on my next trip. read more

We stopped and they had caution tape over their restroom doors at 2:30 in the afternoon during holiday travel. People were still going into the restrooms so I did and I got yelled at coming out. Really, you could take care of your work when it is not as crowded. Treating your customers like that will mean less business for you! read more

I needed a patch on a tire & a oil change on a 2019 International LT Semi. I been here since 12 noon. They finally brought in the truck around 3:30pm and these guys have yet to lay a finger on the truck. They are just sitting around having a POW wow without a concern. Work ethic sucks and I was considering giving this guy a $20 tip. Absolutely not. Perhaps if they had a few Mexicans working here this place would be more efficient. I loved how clean the store was and the fact that they have a fenced in area for dogs to stretch their legs, I called the next day, as I realized, I had left my purse on the bench in the dog area. I spoke to a younger lady, who was very nice and professIonal. she asked questions to verify the purse was indeed mine, I gave permission for her to open and check for my I'd. SERVICE CENTER/SHOP ........ My left steer tire was completely bald on the inside close to the engine. The wires were showing and it was close to a blow out. I waited about 3 hours, which is understandable, it's a part of trucking, but the customer service was top tier. My advisor (William) made everything so smooth. He listened to everything I had an issue with and was patient, pleasant, and professional the whole time. On his way into to the Love's to grab something to eat/drink, he asked his co-worker if he wanted anything out of the store and then he turned and offered the same gesture to me. I asked for a water and he asked if there was a specific one. The small attention to the detail that, all waters aren't the same, stood out to me. You might think 'wow you got a water' but the temperament is what stood out, I could have asked for something not as simple and it wouldn't have been a problem. He is a very genuine spirit, he treats his job like it's his own business/franchise. That's the type of employees you want at your establishment. Great job again Love's! read more

This Love's is in pretty rough shape. They don't have their usual range of coffees ready to go, and the manager named Zach seems to think I should just accept one of the ones I didn't pay for. He did issue a refund, but not without wanting to dig in and put me in my place. Just wanted to get coffee to enjoy before I recharged for the road, and then fill up and take away some food, but I declined after this sort of treatment. The manager Wade went above and beyond. We were traveling through from vacation back to Kansas City and left our camper keys and water cap on the curb near the clean out station. This is our place to stop on our way to the Lake. The bathroom is small and sparse, but clean. There are lots of snacks to choose from. There's even a Hardee's attached if your into that (which I'm not). There are tons of gas pumps. The clerk was even very helpful to the man in front of me in giving him directions. So I drop Flaming Hot Cheetos, Andy Capps Fries, 2 Five Hour Energys, 1 pack sour straws, 1 pack Jolly Rancher soft chews, 1 Vitamin water, 1 Smart Water, and a Red Bull on the counter in front of the checkout clerk. She looks up at me and laughs. Of course she's seen this before. And I love to eat well and healthily but it seems to be impossible to do on a road trip. What's this? This gas station is convenient located along the main interstate and I regularly stop here for fuel when traveling to visit family. The best part is the clean restrooms. They are a fabulous discovery at any gas station, but I feel like they make the extra effort to keep the restrooms up to par. The parking lot and filling stations are also very spacious and easy to maneuver. read more

Wish there were a lot more of these out in my neck of the woods. Place is roomy, very clean bathrooms (which is awesome when driving long-distances) and has plenty of options for snacks/drinks.
