We have been broke down in our truck for a few days here. The shop checked our steer tire out and discovered, that our kingpin is bad. They recommended a shop for us to use. In the meantime while we waited for the part to come in, our wheel seal on one of our drives goes bad, so the love's shop guys fix it and the brakes. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and they opened up the lobby to us and our two dogs. They have a dog bowel for water, sitting under the water fountain, just waiting for some fur babies to show up. The waiting area was very clean and so was the restroom. Since we had to wait for our parts to come in, we have stayed at the loves for a couple of days now. The store is very clean too and so are the showers. Everyone from the shop to the store employees have been very nice and helpful. This will definitely be a truck stop that we will stop at every time we are traveling on 90 in South Dakota. read more

We travel back and forth from the Midwest to the West Coast regularly. Love's is our station of choice. We'll go out of our way to stop at a Love's... we appreciate clean restrooms and easy access. This facility is the only one I give anything less than a 5-star review. Simply, because of the staff. This facility is poorly managed. Each time we stopped at this location, we wait... and wait, and wait, and wait. The staff needs to stop the chit chat, stop the showing off being loud mouths and just get people through the line. The obnoxious loud talking about nothing of importance is annoying to patrons and we don't want to hear about your plans for the weekend and boyfriend troubles. I was rather put out with everyone on their staff after the first time we stopped here. It just continues to get worse. Otherwise, the facility is fairly clean, it is accessible and we can get in and out easily with the RV. The management needs to get in touch with how to manage a team and polish those skills. It is disappointing to see the failed management trickle down to the entire staff. read more

Part of a national travel plaza chain, well maintained. While the gasoline prices were typical for the area, diesel can be had 30¢ cheaper at the regional truck stops along I-90. Trucker items in the convenience store are priced to compete with other truck stops. No real deals to be had. If you can find a similar item at a a local retailer, it will invariably be cheaper. You pay for the convenience. Still, it is a welcome stop for the weary traveler. I recommend. read more

Manager wasn't friendly. Seemed like you were always bothering him. A few of the cashiers were very rude. The men cashiers were very nice. The bathrooms could've been cleaner. Items on the shelf at sale prices on them when you got to the register they were more had to walk back with the sales clerk, to prove they were on sale. Bought around $70 in souvenirs. One was in the wrong place and instead of giving it to me for the price where it was hanging he walked back show me where it was and charged me another eight dollars we've traveled the country and all the loves are amazing. People are very welcoming. The accommodations are very clean. I would skip this loves next time. read more

We have a hotshot trucking company running only pickup trucks. Mike Jones (driver) stopped at your Box Elder SD store on February 14 at 9:15 am EST. Went into the store swiped his Comdata card and signed so the clerk would turn the pump on. He then went out to pump and the pump was not functioning. He proceeded to return into the store and was told it would take a while to fix it. Mike Jones then asked the clerk to cancel his transaction, the clerk did something with the machine and said it was cancelled. Mike Jones left Box Elder SD at 9:30 am EST and fueled at Rapid City SD at 10am in the amount of 16.3 gal. When he attempted to fuel later at 1pm in Murdock SD, he was locked out due to being over his allowed fuel for the day. After reviewing his daily fuel purchases, we found there was a 100.08-gal fuel purchase charged to his Comdata card from your Box Elder SD store at 11:09 am EST. His location according to GPS was 30 miles East of Box Elder which makes him incapable of fueling and signing a fuel receipt for the 100.08 gallons and over $300 fuel at 11:09 am EST. Mike called the Box Elder SD store and spoke to Schuyler Backer who remembered him being there and knows about when this happened. Schuyler then informed my driver that he would review the video to see who exactly fueled and there would be a credit back to his Comdata fuel card. A review of Comdata charges for the next few days showed no credit to the card. February 17th a phone call to Comdata concerning the disputed charge was conducted at which time Comdata called your Box Elder SD store to verify the erroneous charge. Schuyler verified this information and Comdata stated we should see the credit in 3-5 business days. February 25th another call to Comdata was conducted since no credit had processed. Comdata informed me that Love's had not released the charge and a credit will only happen when Love's initiates the credit. Telephone call to Schuyler at Box Elder SD to update him as to no resolution. Schuyler called Love's Corporate credit services to ask for the credit to be released and was given a case # 05299953 and instructed I would receive a call back within 24 hours. My driver also spoke with Schuyler and was informed they could not tell from the video who fueled. March 2nd, I made a call to Love's corporate and was told 24 to 72 hours to confirm credit. Schuyler was made aware of additional time for corporate to process credit. He said if there is no resolution with this, he would get his District Manager more involved. March 4th No phone call from Love's Corporate so I called and was told by CSR that Heather Roberson, Risk Management has noted that they have a signed receipt so there will be no further action. Later call to Schuyler informed me that he does have a receipt signed by Mike Jones my driver. Schuyler emailed me a copy of that receipt. Chris from Box Elder SD store chimed in and stated, "Unfortunately my hands are tied, and I can't just write you out a check". They said they would get their District Manager more involved and try to make it right by us. I am really questioning the legitimacy of a signed receipt for 100.08 gallons of fuel for a pickup truck with a 35-gallon tank and at a time when my driver was over 30 miles away. This fuel charge was clearly an error due to inclement weather and the improper functioning of the Box Elder SD pumps/registers at the time. How can we get this erroneous fuel charge credited back to my drivers Comdata fuel card? STILL NO RESOLUTION. THEIR ERROR! A FABRICATED FUEL RECEIPT! MY DRIVER WITH A 35-GAL FUEL TANK GETS CHARGED FOR 100 GALLON PURCHASE. WHERE IS THE INTEGRITY? read more

Don't stop here on a motorcycle. Cards don't always work at pump, toothless rude staff, prepay obviously doesn't work for a 3 gallon tank. Don't give them a dime. read more
