In the meantime while we waited for the part to come in, our wheel seal on one of our drives goes bad, so the love's shop guys fix it and the brakes. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and they opened up the lobby to us and our two dogs. They have a dog bowel for water, sitting under the water fountain, just waiting for some fur babies to show up. The waiting area was very clean and so was the restroom. Since we had to wait for our parts to come in, we have stayed at the loves for a couple of days now. The store is very clean too and so are the showers. Everyone from the shop to the store employees have been very nice and helpful. This will definitely be a truck stop that we will stop at every time we are traveling on 90 in South Dakota.

We'll go out of our way to stop at a Love's... we appreciate clean restrooms and easy access. This facility is the only one I give anything less than a 5-star review. Simply, because of the staff. This facility is poorly managed. Each time we stopped at this location, we wait... and wait, and wait, and wait. The staff needs to stop the chit chat, stop the showing off being loud mouths and just get people through the line. The obnoxious loud talking about nothing of importance is annoying to patrons and we don't want to hear about your plans for the weekend and boyfriend troubles. I was rather put out with everyone on their staff after the first time we stopped here. It just continues to get worse. Otherwise, the facility is fairly clean, it is accessible and we can get in and out easily with the RV. The management needs to get in touch with how to manage a team and polish those skills. It is disappointing to see the failed management trickle down to the entire staff.

It all has to do with one employee who thought it would be funny to lie about me to my girlfriend for absolutely no reason. Her lies ruined our relationship and caused my girlfriend to treat me like utter shit for no reason. My girlfriend had a miscarriage from the stress. Before the loss of our child I sent in a complaint to the district manager but they didn't do anything about the employee. They lied and said I hadn't complained when I did. Because of that ugly employee we are on the verge of breaking up and I still get treated like shit for doing nothing at all wrong and it has been months and months! I Fucking HATE YESWAY

Stopped here coming from the Badlands to the Black Hills, and I'm so glad I did. This roadside…read morestop on Rt 44 is a basic convenience store, but also home to an incredibly awesome bar, the Thompson Butte Bar. The Caputa Store somehow is able to be a locals hangout, a family friendly space, a biker stop, and still be incredibly welcoming to the random drifters like myself. The place is a classic open-room style saloon complete with covered porch and rocking chairs. The interior is extremely clean and well maintained but still true to it's character. Fun details like motorcycle saddle barstools, and Western decor add to the personality of this place. The bartender Rhonda, who turned out to be the owner, is an incredibly cool, friendly and accommodating host. The pride and love she has for her business and her customers shines through as soon as you meet her. The locals who hang here are a fun and funny crew, and I immediately felt at home here as if I was drinking in my own local corner bar. I really cant wait to come back and hang out at this amazing gem of a place and hang out with my new Dakota friends! Seriously, anyone who passes through here should stop by for a beer, burger, and a few laughs among great folks.
