You know what you're getting as well by the label, it's kept very hot. Cheese was melty. There was a Chesters Chicken place there but didn't have time for that. Traveling to New Mexico stopped at loves to get some lunch and some coffee for the road is long crazy drive they have everything that you could imagine inside these convenient gas stations. My wife and I travel from CO to AZ and back with our dog. twice a year. We stop almost exclusively at Loves and really like the food and drink choices and the overall cleanliness. We appreciate that there is space available to walk our dog so she can do her "business " but lately at almost all of the Loves there has been no bags and the trash disposal has been over full. No worries though I always carry bags but it would be great if this could be cleaned up a bit. Thank you. read more

We stopped by Love's Travel Stop in Las Vegas, New Mexico. As is the case with almost all Love's Travel Stops, they are conveniently located off the freeway. Stopped here to fill up the truck, use the restroom, take a stretch break, and purchase some snacks. As has been the case with all of our Love's Travel Stops, this location was also good. Reasonably priced both at the gas pumps and inside the shop. Store was a bit more cluttered than the normal Love's. They did not seem to have as much Love's Private Label merchandise as other branches. Restroom was fine, but not as clean as most other locations also. So, since I am comparing them to other Love's Travel Stops.....this branch in Las Vegas, New Mexico was just okay. Compared to other competition, Love's is better, though. read more

Seeing another love's on the interstate, we decided to give it one more try. By this time my headache was pounding and I spent every hour fighting to stay awake. But luckily for us this one was so much safer to pull into, plus walk into the door. Bathrooms needed some work on this, since it was a mess everywhere. Definitely wash your hands twice here because it's THAT bad. I wouldn't even touch the door without a paper. Thankfully I had tissues in my pockets. There is a bathroom rating button on the wall of the women's restroom. My 13 year old daughter had her finger up to it when a female store clerk walked in. She had not pushed any buttons, she was just reading it. the woman proceeded to reprimand my daughter about touching it. She said in a raised voice "There is nothing wrong with this bathroom! & when you touch it it goes to corporate!" My daughter replied "I did not touch it." The clerk continues to say "I saw you!" I had to chime in as a parent and reiterate the fact that she had not touched it. It was not spotless. The floor was dirty. How about corporate finds out you are harassing children in the restroom. This behavior was ridiculous and made my daughter very uncomfortable. If you don't want people's opinions maybe corporate should not have the buttons on the wall. read more

Hey corporate management, you should give extra props to whoever is running this particular location -they have added long paint pole top handles to their windshield washing squeegees and have big buckets of water at both ends of every pump. Went to get gas and food. Was horribly crowed due to 3 tourist busses. There were only 3 bathrooms for women, so there was a line. I needed the handicap bathroom, but a 12 year old girl went before I could get to it. My daughter inquired about other bathrooms and got screamed at by a female employee. Went to get food. Another male who worked there threatened to have us towed. He said we had been there 45 minutes. We were there 20 minutes. Said we were blocking traffic, we were not. Said there was a line waiting to use the pump we were on. There was no line. We were hauling a travel trailer and made sure we were not blocking traffic. Very rude and unpleasant employees. I love Loves! I stopped at a number of them on my most recent travel and I will be posting the same review on each one because they were all basically the same. I mean, literally, until right now, I thought I had stopped at the same Loves on the way home that I stopped at the way there. What I have found is their washrooms are the cleanest. Their gas prices are also fair and there are always people around which is a nice feeling for a lonely gal traveling well, alone. I was stoked to find some "fresh"ish fruit in an ice bin when I stopped for gas, coffee and bathroom. I hadn't seen that and didn't even know I wanted grapes until they were right there. Not to mention, most of them have Subway or some other quick place to eat inside. I love Loves, that's it and that was my theme during the trip. Buyer Beware! They are double charging credit cards at the gas pump and making you have to go through your bank to dispute the charges. We purchased fuel in the morning and the same charge was repeated at 7pm that evening. Manager refused to do anything. read more

I have visited Chester's and Subway Sandwich at this location...which I understand are not affiliates...many times. This afternoon, I stopped by to get a salad from Subway. The worker (wearing a Subway uniform shirt) abruptly told me that Subway was closed. It was about 5:30 pm. The website says that Subway at this location is open 24/7. I asked what time they closed, and she replied, "at 5:00". I don't know of many restaurants that close at 5:00 in the evening. It was not so much that they were closed, but the way she said it. Stop here on trips from Denver to Albuquerque. Always had kind people on the station side. Bathrooms have been clean the last 6 times (in two weeks) that we have stopped. Can get busy with people waiting for gas but we have never had a problem getting it and going. read more

Not a regular stop for us but the headwinds on the trip were cutting in to gas mileage and we were after a Subway sandwich for lunch. Easy to get into and out of although it's a little bit off of the interstate. Plenty of pumps for cars and the gasoline seemed reasonably priced for the region. Windshield washer buckets with squeegees on all the islands. The Subway and chicken place were well staffed and our counter help was friendly. Some local flavor was available in the sandwich selections with green chile available in several item choices. The dining area was clean. The travel stop bathrooms were reported as very good by my wife. I would say the men's room was acceptable but there was a little too much piss on the floor for my liking. It wasn't filthy like they never clean it; it just needed to be cleaned that day. The rest of the travel stop looked well stocked. The fountain, shared with subway, was clean and organized. They had a hot food counter (hot dogs, taquitos and the like) and everything looked fresh. Floors inside the building and the grounds were clean. read more

So I was glad to see Las Vegas got a proper truck stop and was impressed by its construction. The truck stop is in a perfect place for visitors and the sign can be seen from pretty much anywhere. They do have some great deals on gas and have a subway and Chester's Chicken. read more

Stopped here today traveling on the road. I always look for Love's because, importantly, they are committed to keeping clean restrooms. Today, the line was out the door for the ladies room, and I kept seeing gloves and masked staff go in and out. Apparently there was some sort of nasty unfortunate horror they were tending to in one of the stalls, but the staff was not only on top of it, but they opened the shower rooms for the rest of us to use while they quickly tended to it. Though I don't envy them today, I certainly appreciated their tenacity, attentiveness and professionalism in handling the situation. read more

Nice to see a modern truck stop on this route ( I-25 between Albuquerque & Denver) The restrooms were clean and well-maintained the store overall look nice, but it is brand new. I only give this Travel stop 4 because of a small truck parking lot.I have stopped here several times, and it is completely full by 5 PM. There is a Subway sandwich shop and a Chester's chicken for dining. This truckstop features 32 truck parking spaces, for showers, and a small laundry facility. read more

On our way through Las Vegas we decided to grab a quick bite and gas up. Our options were either subway or Chester's chicken. We opted for the chicken and immediately regretted it when we got our food. Staff was friendly, but food was TERRIBLE! Both my husband and myself had a fried chicken breast and mashed potatoes. Chicken was so dry and tough that we threw it away, mashed potatoes were ok. Normally I would have said something to the staff, but the young woman and man that were there had a line at the counter and were extremely busy. This was our second time to be VERY dissatisfied with this place (you would think we would have known better). Will not recommend or be back to this Chesters location.
