Nicki, the store manager, answered and immediately went out to see if she could find it. When we finally got back, she helped us search and even helped us comb through the dumpster. Thank goodness we found them!! The entire team was kind and helpful and went way beyond above and beyond. Aside from their help and assistance, the facility is clean and well-stocked and the coffee is darn good! Thank you Nicki and team!!

My family has used the Walgreens pharmacy in Peru for several years. With two young children, we…read moreend up needing prescriptions filled every couple months. Many times, our experience has been perfectly fine, and we have met pharmacy staff who were genuinely helpful. But over the past year, we have consistently noticed longer wait times, sometimes even days for routine medications. On multiple occasions, prescriptions marked as "ready in a few hours" weren't filled until the next day. These delays are frustrating, but we understand that pharmacies can be busy and short‑staffed. However, today was my breaking point, and it will be the last time we use Walgreens for our prescriptions. Our one‑year‑old daughter has been sick all week and was diagnosed with an ear infection. The urgent care facility sent her antibiotic prescription to Walgreens. Shortly after, we received an electronic notice saying the medication was out of stock. When we called to request a transfer, we were told the antibiotic was actually in stock and would be ready in an hour. Near the end of that hour, we received another update pushing the pickup time out three days. When we called again, they then confirmed it was, in fact, out of stock. We asked that the prescription be transferred to a nearby pharmacy that had the medication. Walgreens told us their Ottawa location had it in stock and transferred it there. I called the Ottawa store several times with no answer. When I drove there, I found the pharmacy closed--at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday. I then went to CVS in Peru, where they confirmed they had the antibiotic available but needed Walgreens to release the prescription. When I returned to Walgreens, the pharmacy was closed again without any explanation. I approached an employee, who wouldn't make eye contact and simply said the staff was on break. I waited more than 20 minutes. When the pharmacy employees returned, they seemed visibly irritated and offered no apology or acknowledgment of the situation when I explained what had happened. They did ultimately transfer the prescription, and we genuinely appreciate that. CVS, on the other hand, helped us immediately. They filled the medication quickly and treated us with basic kindness and understanding. CVS: 10/10 Walgreens: 0/10

Your window washing fluid and squeegees are in very poor condition. The fluid was clean, new,…read morestraight out of the jug, squeegees were always new when this location first opened. Complete opposite the last few months. The fluid reeks of dirty mop bucket water-the squeegee's are all old and broken down. I consider these items as part of your stores service. HIPPAA violations abound as they laugh and talk in front of all CVS customers re: their private medical conditions and prescriptions. "Kaitlyn" was overheard along with the purple hair pharm tech they call "KAT" laughing with their new tech (a blonde) about the medical condition of two elderly veterans. They will claim these are lies by dissatisfied cus and that they love vets and how all CVS customers are important but they only care about volume! Don't ask too many questions as it creates irritability and confusion and conflicts with the pharmacy culture of speed and subpar quality interactions with the patrons who contribute to the biweekly paychecks each of the employees at all CVS locations receives. Walmart and Walgreens are certainly alternatives to the Shooting Park, Peru, IL CVS store. How sad that their employees are also members of the same community. That was until I got fired. I got fired for something my gm showed me and told me I could do. Then used it to can me. It's now 9 months later and still cannot find a job because the GM and deli manager, are telling everyone including future employers that I was banned and escorted off the property. Which is not true. I called hr, and so did many many many many other employees who were brave enough to call because of the underhanded threats the GM would make towards them. I gave everything to my job. And loved it. Just to be treated like nothing. Every thing pilot stands for and says they believe in, the reason I went to pilot after Casey's, was a lie.
