Visited this Love's on my way east to see family. Like all business owners, staffing is an issue.So I tend to try to appreciate staff that are there. The thing I say will say about Loves is it's more than just gas, It's a convenient store with plenty of auto trucker type items as well. The gas is high quality. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff were keeping things stocked and clean. They also had some fresh cut fruit, which was a nice change of pace instead of regular junk food. They also usually have some type of hot food available, whether it's a restaurant that's part of it or a hot sandwich cold sandwich area.They have a consistent product. There's plenty of trucker services from showers to qas and parking That was adequate for the truckers and for vehicles. read more

Been hearing that the pizza at Godfather's restaurant at the Love's truck stop is a must try. The restrooms are very clean and maintained daily. Employees greet you when you enter the truck stop. The truck parking here is pretty decent but keep in mind that it fills up fast especially during the evening hours. read more

Well, the plumbing was out (literally there are trailers outside for the bathrooms) and there were zero vegetarian "hot" options for food. The pizza was wiped out :( The other people at the pump were kind of aggressive/in bad moods. Another hour, another stop. It is located right next to the highway and that's nice. Restrooms needed attention and it's the first time in a while that I've hit the "yellow" button on the rating thingie. Two toilets needed cleaning and there were some towels that had missed the trash bin. Maybe just an off day? Coolers were well stocked with drinks and the hot dog roller had a selection of different choices. All of that looked great. I think I was potentially targeted for trafficking at this Love's at ~1am 5/24? I was the only car in the auto lot getting gas, went inside to pee, came back, and there's 2 white vans right next to my car. An Amish-looking guy was waiting about 2 feet from my car with the sliding van door open and there were a few other more conspicuous looking guys in hoodies pumping gas/smoking. Maybe it was just a weird carpool situation, but I'm thinking the Amish guy is the one you're supposed to remember if you file a report, and the others are the bad ones? Idk I said hello to the Amish guy, got in my car, and peeled tf out of there. If you're traveling for the Indy 500, please be alert and get your gas at busy gas stations. read more

This Love's has a dog park! It's pretty small, but it was perfect for our lab to run around and potty and stretch her legs while we made our lunch and got drinks out of the cooler. Bathrooms were clean, and there was plenty of space in the lot even though they were busy. read more

Was traveling to say my final goodbyes to my father before his transition and stopped as usual to top off, get snacks, and use the restroom after 140 miles already! The employee was working alone, which was a surprise to me being I USED to chose Loves over any during traveling and there's always 10+ (joke) employees! As I walk around the store, I notice ball caps on sale 3/$15! I look at one and decide they weren't my style, I return the hat to the basket and put my USED, DIRTY, CARHART back on and almost on que, Bertha (the store clerk) asks me "didn't find the hat you want?" I respond "No ma'am, I really don't want any other than what I've selected and gas" she's says "well what about the one on your head" in an as a matter of fact tone! I chuckle and say "I didn't know Love's sold CARHART anything MA'AM" She proceeds towards me as if she was going to take my hat off of my head and check it or something! Simultaneously, a guy and a girl walks in and Bertha rushes to tend to them so kind and excellent customer skills, snarling her eyes in my direction EVER CHANCE SHE GOT! I go to the diesel side (I am a home daily truck driver) looking and I'll be dam*ed if Bertha didn't have her fat, droopy face PEAKING thru boxes watching me, until I caught her red handed and she pretends SHE WAS WIPING OFF A BOX THAT STILL NEEDED TO BE UNPACKED‍ Now I'm obviously pissed clean off, I hear the doorbell and look towards the door and LOW AND BELOND, THE TWO SHE WAS JUST SO NICE AND FRIENDLY TO ARE WALKING OUT WITH ALL KINDS OF STUFF THEY HADNT PAYED FOR ‍ I look at her square in the eyes and told "I make $2250 guaranteed weekly! Gas isn't too expensive and food is good, but I'm giving a low rating for the showers. My pipes had froze and I needed a hot shower, that it gave me. But for $13 it was the dirtiest shit ever. My husband is a semi truck driver all over the US. He advised me to go to loves so I drove a good 40 minutes out to this one. The staff is nice and I stop in frequently for cheaper gas. Lizton & Danville are a good 10 cents more on gas. With this Loves being off 74 a lot of people stop by. So the shower. I bought it, again $13 for a shower, immediately got my ticket and my shower was ready. My pipes have been frozen for days so at this point my standards are low because I just want a shower. Crusty towels provided, I brought my own. Sink dirty, trash in the can and toilet dirty. I'll deal. Colder than shit but it's the dead of winter, fine. The shower was SO NICE & HOT! Hair on the shower walls, I ignored it, finished up, and left. For me it'll do, for a trucker that can never go home, I FEEL FOR THEM! So, yeah... this is a truck stop in the middle of nowhere... Key finding: you have to drive WELL past the place to get to the actual entrance. The driveway that looks like the entrance is blocked off. Pain in the ass. I do like that there are food options. And a decent-sized convenience store. Can't complain on that front. Most notably, the restrooms were cleaner than I expected. I had low expectations, and they were definitely surpassed, though not by a wide margin. I'd stop here again, though I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. read more

Very conveniently located travel stop that has saved our asses quite a few times on the trip from Cville to Indy. It has a Subway and a Godfather's Pizza inside. The Subway is your typical subway. If you've never had Godfather's Pizza, it's super gross. My ex used to be a manager at a Godfather's (not this one) and so not only do I have terrible personal memories of the place, their cleanliness habits (and other habits) are completely repulsive, and nothing is fresh. However, they do have a good selection of drinks and snacks inside, and service is friendly although very slow and sometimes disappears, creating a long wait to check out. read more

My pet peeve with gas station is when I am forced to go inside to get the receipt when I pump gas. I have been coming to this Love's for over 10 years because there was always paper in the machine. Something has happened to the management here, for the last month no matter when I stop, and I get gas, I am forced to go inside to get my receipt. Truck Drivers be aware about this one. THEY DONT AT ALL & neither does their competition...BUT No matter what kind of points you have or how often (daily, right?) you buy your food/drinks here they are charging $.50 at this Love's for ice even if you bring in your prepurchased insulated Love's cup you bought from them. They'll try to charge you an extra refill to be removed from your 2 bonus free ones a day just so you don't see it. read more
