We've driven this way many times from San Diego and it's a must to stop at Love's for gas and restroom break as soon as you cross the AZ border because gas is so much cheaper. It's a huge truck stop, they offer showers, there's Subway, Godfather's Pizza Express and Chester's. Only Subway is open 24 hours. Restrooms are clean. Never seen the shower so can't give a review there. But the food options were endless. So many different flavor taquitos, coffee, snacks, food and gift shop. Convenient, clean, and discounts on gas if you download their app / set up an account. Gas is much cheaper than it is across the border in CA. All the gas stations in the area are busy, but at least they have 10+ pumps. They don't have long cords, so make sure you get in line and approach from the correct direction of your gas tank. Inside they have souvenirs, lottery tickets, food, snacks, drinks, fast food, etc. Plenty to choose from. Same setup and consistency that you can expect from other Love's. read more

Ernie explained Yuma has had many rv owners in the past and discourages RV owners at his Yuma facility.( Perhaps they had bad experience.)? Needless to say. UPDATE to my previous review since Yelp is not allowing me to edit it! The additional $175 charges were dropped today but double charges for the actual gas amount remain. It appears that the system places an ADDITIONAL $175 hold on the card automatically when you buy gas here. It comes through in a weird way -as an actual "in store charge" which is deeply concerning. We have been told that Loves is RV friend ly. We read overnight parking was allowed at this particular Loves in Yuma, AZ. Even so, we still asked before parking and settling in for the night. 5:00 am some wanna-be cop bangs on our door and tells us "there is no overnight parking on Loves property"! And then when I go to Loves on yelp ot says again that "Loves in Yuma, AZ welcomes RVs overnight". I think this security guy was just on a power trip. Godfather's Pizza: When I arrived and ordered 1 pizza each of Cheeseburger, Hawaiian and Cheese there was a 25 minute wait during dinner rush. No problem; I hunkered down in the nearby social distanced booths and waited (I tried to order online but it wasn't working for me). The clerk (named "God" on the receipt?) Was friendly and on it taking care of multiple orders. Upon payment (using a coupon from their site online; military discount was also available) I give the pizzas 5 stars (right out of their oven) and 4 stars as next - day leftovers...it's surprisingly that good! The melted condiments, the cheese and the taste, wow. I was truly flabbergasted (that word, yes!). One of the top 5 great pizza orders. Leftovers weren't too shabby, either. Chester's: Even though the server was helpful and patient during the malay of a rush hour, I gave the 16 piece family meal (with 2 extra sides) 3 1/2 stars. Maybe a close 4 stars if the chicken and biscuits were fresh; they were under the heater lamp for a minute (I get it, fresh food only when it's getting low) but even then I didn't find it crazy good. Stopped in to grab gas and use bathrooms. Bathrooms cleaner than Loves back in Gila Bend. Surprisingly they had good hot food options. Staff all very friendly. We grabbed Godfathers Pizza to go which she made hot. Even had my friends Taco Pizza which she has been craving (we from Nebraska so such a treat). Gonna stop here on way back to Phoenix. read more

I always stop at Loves for gas and sometimes park overnight take a shower get breakfast and coffee in the morning just like all the truck drivers do. Loves is RV friendly they provide a hook up for RVs, water and dumping at some locations. This is why I always do business there when I travel. This location the manager banged on my door 6:30 in the morning complaining I was taking up his parking. I walked out the door and there was lots vacant overnight parking even at 6:30 in morning. When I'm traveling cross country Love's and Pilot are my go to Travel Centers. This was a good place to fillup my tank, and thier toilette. The restroom was clean. The shelves were well stocked although they didn't have 2 items I was looking for. One was a US Navy Veteran hat. They had Marines Army and Airforce.. I also couldn't find a notebook cover, but then Pilot doesn't have them either...I recommend them for a fillup or restroom break. I can't honestly recommend them for snacks, Due in part to bidenflation, and the fact that I keep a boxfull of my favorite roadtrip snack in my van. read more

Amid the morning rush hour, some brave soul was steam-cleaning the fueling aisles of the station: I, for one, appreciate not getting gasoline, oil, or diesel -- sometimes difficult to avoid -- on my shoes while I service my vehicle. In fact, there were a number of people busy cleaning the aisles, fuel pumps, trash receptacles; re-filling paper towel dispensers, windshield cleaning fluid reservoirs; glass doors and windows of the facility. Very busy: nice to see station employees who take pride in the appearance of this facility -- despite the heat. Well done. Nice people working here. Their WiFi service offered seems to be very expensive: you have to pay $25 to join as a preferred customer in order to use it? Hmmm... I just want to check the weather, not read War and Peace, or watch a movie. Perhaps they should take a closer look at whatever company prepares their food.: I suspect that their culinary specialist in charge of food ingredient procurement might be Alfred Packer, Boone Helm, Karl Denke, or Joachim Georg Kroll. We found it inedible: not even the dog was interested after a single sniff. True, one must consider where they choose to eat, but after a long, early-morning trip and being tempted to try the breakfast foods... Caveat emptor. read more

Clean bathrooms, good selection of drinks and snacks as well as Godfather's Pizza too. Plenty of gas pumps. I am not sure what love's puts in their windshield wiper cleaner, but it's amazing. We stop at all love's on our route to ensure clean windshields and good gas prices. And frankly we can be sure of both. I have also gotten a few cowboy hats there too. I love Peter Grimm! I like that they have cups of fruits to eat too. I don't always want a candy bar. This is a crowded Love's and the main pumps are tight for large vehicles. The women's restroom was really dirty for a Love's. Was there 3x yesterday & today on a round trip so it wasn't incidental for a shift. If you have small children who need a restroom, I wouldn't recommend filling up at this location. Nor would I buy food here. If the restroom is skanky, imagine what the food prep areas are like out of sight. Ew. read more

I am giving five stars to Rene, the gentleman who helped me with a propane purchase. I arrived and was told he would be out to help me in a few minutes. After 15 minutes I pushed the button again and could tell by his tone that Rene was very busy. After about 30 minutes he finally was able to help me. Loves is very short hand. Today was Easter and I was lucky to find help at all. Loves, if you are reading this, give this man, Rene a raise. He is doing the work of 4 or 5 people. read more

This is the perfect halfway point between San Diego and Phoenix. I love that it's not in the city so it's not as crowded, has clean bathrooms and LOT'S of goodies to pick from. Their prices are always competitive if not the lowest in the area and they have diesel. I would give this place 1 Star, but the Chester's attached to it, is good & the worker's there are actually on their A game. The Cashier today on the Love's side, by the name of Alex, needs to go back through training or get fired. Also, every time I go to this place they NEVER have people working the floor. They are ALWAYS low or missing condiments. The hotdogs are old & withered & that same guy, Alex is always making an excuse & lying about some type of situation. I hope the manager or owner of this Love's, does something to fix the issues, here. I will say this, though. They ALL greeted ppl as they came in & that's a start. Hopefully everything else, gets better. Love's is a great place to work & the opportunities are there. I'm not sure of the employees are aware. New to Yuma and wanted something quick. So made a phone order to Godfathers Pizza and they don't deliver. Ok cool, understandable. I get there and find out it's inside the store. I thought oh Jesus, I'm going to suffer , gas station pizza. I go in and see their little counter and think , should I grab some antacids. Counter girl: extremely nice and cheery. Ticket didn't have a spot for a tip and I didn't have cash on hand, felt bad because she was great customer service. Got home with my pizza and to my surprise, it was F'n delicious. There is construction going into the gas station, according to the signs a DETOUR goes onto the street. However, if you go down that street, you are likely to get into an accident. 5 contractors (doing nothing I might add) will be screaming at you to turn around. This is our designated stop between home and El Centro or San Diego. Last place in Arizona to fill up on gas before the higher prices in California. Also - the last time to buy your bottled drinks without paying the CRV. Huge store with numerous gas pumps so there is hardly ever a wait. Often very windy so be careful when you open your door to get out. Love the window washing mixture. Really cleans off the bugs and other road debris clinging to your vehicle's windshield and grill. Inside is a plethora of touristy goodies and a ton of items geared toward professional drivers. The bathrooms are very clean, especially for being such a high traffic area. Love the clothing, canes, and clearance items. Always things to look over and consider purchasing. Plenty of movies, cd's, sunglasses, phone chargers, trinkets, and snacks. We are always greeted by friendly faces and helped efficiently at the counter. Makes it a more pleasant stop when the employees are happy to be there. If you are tired there are plenty of spaces far out in the lot that are still well-lit. Great place to pull in and take a quick nap before continuing on. read more

I haven't given it a go. The gas seems always to be priced reasonably. And if you are bound for California, this is a great time to stop and refill because 1. there are few gas stations across the border before you enter the deep desert and 2. the gas prices increase substantially once you cross the border. Also, Love's seems like a trucker's and trinket hoarder's paradise. They have stuffed animals for days. They even have large Angry Bird animals at something like $50. Why, oh why? They've also got glasses, magazines, books, car fresheners, DVDs, cups and assortment of clothing only fitting for retirement homes and dingy beaches.
