Initial meeting was ok but everything after went downhill. I had a question that Leah didn't know the answer to, she was going to research and call me back within 2 days. I was ok with that so I gave them the $250 and two weeks later, no return call. Took two follow ups from me to finally get a call back from George who was extremely pushy and rude. I had questions regarding his approach to our estate and apparently he isn't used to being challenged. He scoffed and told me I was too strong and Leah was to young to relate to someone my age therefore she couldn't give me solid advice. I just wanted to know all my options and the pros/cons so I can make my own decision. I might be out $250 (tbd if I get a refund) but that's ok I'm going elsewhere. Had an initial consultation with Mr Lovett about estate planning. I assumed this initial consult was free of charge because two other estate lawyers I met with did indeed have a free initial session. Nowhere in the paperwork mailed to me and nowhere in the paperwork I filled out in the waiting room was the cost of an initial consultation fee presented to me. Not until I'm in his office, 10 minutes or so into the meeting did he mention I would have to "settle up" at the end of the initial session. The "settling up" amounted to $300! Yes I made the mistake of assuming (based on common practice) but he was not upfront and forthcoming in informing me the initial visit would cost $300. He got my $300, but that's all he's getting. read more

High pressure sales! Our attorney & a financial expert said not to listen to them.

This attorney needs to be exposed for the crook that he is. Unbeknownst to me, he charged my mother $4000 so that my brother and I would not have to go through probate upon her passing. They assured her that things were taken care of, but when I informed Mr Lovett's office of her passing, they told us to stop in to their office. No other fees were mentioned on the phone, but at the end of the short meeting, they wanted us to "settle up" for around $250 just to hear them say that we did in fact have to go through probate after all and that it would cost us a few thousand more dollars!!! He took advantage of my mother, but he will not get another dime out of me. Avoid this man. He takes advantage of elderly people when they are at their most vulnerable. To me, that is the lowest of the low. He should be disbarred. read more

We did not choose this attorney to help us with our estate planning because we did not walk away with a good feeling of trustworthiness after our meeting. The initial meeting felt like a sales pitch. I felt like I was in a presentation to invest in a timeshare! There was pressure to make a decision "right now" to buy a $2500 package and he made false claims about how wealthy we were (we are NOT well off). Would not recommend. read more
