So far, I'm not impressed. First the positives: this place is well equipped, especially in the…read morekitchen. There is a small fridge, a cooktop, oven, microwave and even a small dishwasher and an all in one laundry machine. It washes and dries in one appliance. I haven't needed to use them yet, so I will update as my 2 week stay progresses. It's clean and perfectly sized for a business traveller. Now, for the not-so-good. First, there's the temperature. It's hot in this apartment. Somewhere in the high 70s and they do not offer A/C. There is a fan in the closet, and that makes the nights bearable. The outside temp is only in the mid 70s, so I'd hate to be here if it was much hotter outside. Second: the wifi. In a word, it's useless. They offer two tiers, free "economy" and "business class". First I tried the free service and it's horribly slow. I got speed tests that showed me ~300 Kb/s upload and ~400Kb/s download speeds. Business class is advertised as "up to 8MB/s" and all my speed tests are showing me ~300 Kb/s upload and ~400Kb/s download speeds. That's right, literally NO difference. Since I am paying for the speed boost, and I am not getting it, I decided to call the reception to see if they could help. This is where the third not-so-good comes in. I sat on hold, with recorded music and adverts for over 20 minutes and eventually hung up. No one ever answered. I will pop down to reception tomorrow and see if I can get the internet sorted. More updates if events warrant. An update: the issue with slow internet seemed to resolve itself and I did not have speed issues for the remainder of my two weeks. Overall, this was a good stay. I would have liked better options for temperature control, but that's my only real complaint.

This place is amazing, simple as that. For the price of a hotel room, you can stay in a well kitted…read moreout and modern designed serviced apartment here. So instead of just a bedroom and bathroom, you find that you have all that plus a living room and kitchen/diner. The kitchen is very kitted out, managed to make a Sunday roast with all the trimmings with the equipment provided. The living room included a really comfy sofa, TV, DVD and Radio/CD/Docking station. As far as getting ready for a night out at a chilled out pace or having some space beyond just a bedroom in a room; this place is a total no brainer if you are planning to be out and about in Bristol. As for the location, it is about in the centre as you could get; you can get to the old town (Welsh Back) or the party areas within a couple of minutes walk. The place is also next to a supermarket, so getting food and stuff for the apartment is no effort. The only slight downside is the smell in the reception if the Subway next door. That said, you don't spend any time in the reception, so it's no bother. I have stayed here 3 times now and if I'm ever in Bristol, this is the place for me; it just perfect for a weekend away in this great city.

Do not use this agent! Despite advice from friends we opted to use Fulfords to advertise and manage…read moreour rental apartment. We should have smelled a rat when their rental estimate came in over £100/month higher than the other (more reputable) agent. We were given assurance that the apartment would be rented within 2 weeks and would be snapped up in the current market.... sadly not. The photos taken by the agency were drab and lifeless and key pieces of information were omitted from the description. 6 weeks went by with only two text messages from Fulfords saying that viewings had been arranged. When we phoned them up it transpired that over 13 people had been to view the apartment and that they had (unsurprisingly) thought that it was over-priced, and (even worse) would have accepted a slightly lower rent - at no point did they contact us to say that a reduction of £25-50/month would have resulted in a tenancy. We finally lost patience with their appalling attitude and pushy manner on the phone so took our business elsewhere. Within 2 weeks the apartment was rented out by the other agent with no problems whatsoever; the photos, presentation, advertisements and service provided by the other agency were excellent and their professionalism has gone some way to restoring my confidence in the industry. The nail in the coffin occurred when we attempted to take back the 2 sets of keys from Fulfords..... They could only find one set and, when I insisted that they pay up for the replacement set (or to change the lock on the main door), the agent smugly replied that I couldn't prove that they had taken possession of the keys and where was the 'signed proof' that they had taken 2 sets. I was exasperated that an agent that we had trusted with the care of our flat could be so negligent and careless with its security. Lesson learnt..... please please don't make the same mistake.
