Relaxed after grooming is an understatement! Maxwell loved his first grooming experience

We took our 10 month old Maine Coon kitten for his first grooming experience. We were welcomed by the groomer and the lady that bathed the animals. We picked up a beautifully groomed kitten who smelled nice and looked great. He was relaxed but ready to see his humans. We highly recommend this grooming service located in the foothills.

We were staying at an RV park in Yuma for a few days before continuing to SoCal and Mexico. Our Scotty-mix, Ferguson, really needed his hair cut & nails trimmed, especially heading to a beach resort with lots of sand (which he loves to roll in!) I found Loving Pets on Yelp and since they were close by, we decided to give them our business. This is a very low-stress grooming service, operated out of the owner's home. Fergie wasn't anxious at all because he thought we just came for a visit. JoLynn gave him a fantastic cut, which she called a "desert cut". It was the best grooming he's ever received and very affordable. We are so happy we found Loving Pets and took Fergie to get groomed by JoLynn. Our handsome boy looked his very best!

When I arrived in Yuma a year and half ago I needed a groomer for my shy dog Daisy. Daisy has major separation anxiety issues therefore so do I when I leave her some where alone. Daisy also HATES to get groomed. I took her to the pooch parlor to get groomed because it was conveniently located next door to where I live. Biggest mistake of my life. They abused my dog and then had the nerve to ask how I knew she was abused. Daisy is 11 years old and needs to be handled with gentleness and care as her bones are fragile. They didn't care about my dog and her issues, they just want to make money. I struggled with trying to groom her myself. That was NOT pretty. Then one day my co-worker Rachael told me about Loving pets grooming. I called and made appointment right away. I explained my concerns to the Husband and wife team (I like to call them Joe & Jo) I felt a little anxiety dropping her off at someone's home to get groomed. When I picked her up 2 hours later Daisy had never been groomed so well and she was happy all afternoon. I know my dog like I know my child. I know when she had a good day or bad day. Any how I have been bringing Daisy to Loving pets grooming for a year now and Daisy LOVES to get dropped off for a groom. Her and Jolynn have a bond and Daisy doesn't bond with anyone. She treats every animal with such love and kindness you can tell what she does warms her heart. Loving pets grooming is the best you'll find.

People who want to be there for their animals in their most vulnerable moments. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother, who took our beloved family cat to the humane society to be put to rest for their low cost services. We appreciate the humane society for offering these services, however we were appalled when she was told she could not hold our cat as he was put the sleep. Vets across the world all say the same thing, that euthanasia can be scary for your pet, and how devastating it is when pet parents don't want to be with their animal when they pass. The final thing they see and feel, is being in your arms or presence. The humane society of yuma does not care that the last thing your pet sees is a team of strangers giving them their lethal injection. They do not care for the owners who step up and want to hold their beloved pet for their final moments. It is their policy to not allow you to truly say goodbye. However, years ago, they had no problem forcing me into their surgical room to retrieve my non-aggressive but shy dog from a kennel, WHILE ACTIVELY PERFORMING STERILIZATION ON ANOTHER ANIMAL. But that's policy, right??? I hope that they improve this policy and if they are going to offer these low cost services, maybe have some compassion for those who do care for and love their pets. Side note that it ended up costing the same as if we had taken our cat to the actual vet, as they charged an additional $35 just to shove his post mortem paw in some clay for a keepsake. Should have just gone to the vet so he could be held for his final moments with multiple included keepsakes instead. Hindsight is 20/20.

Colleen appears to be the sole owner and worker here, which is nice because your dog gets individualized attention. Colleen was able to provide me feedback on my dogs behavior during my absence, which is something you don't get at larger kennel operations. Colleen professionally trains hunting dogs, so she has a deeper understanding of how to take care of dogs. Very reasonably priced too! Will definitely be bringing my dog back here.

Maroco Kennel was great and I feel so much better now that we're at the end of our adventure. Maroco Kennel provided excellent service and care which helped enhance the week. Colleen (owner) was professional and kind. Her kennels were very clean indoors and outside. I can tell that my dog was well cared for during my absence and I am grateful. My dog fell in love with one of the balls she used to play with her during her stay and Colleen kindly sent it home with my dog. An additional benefit for my dog and myself... my dog has always been an inside dog (from years of apartment living and only accompanied walks). Now that I have a fenced backyard, she didn't like to be out there alone. I believe that she had open access from her Maroco kennel to the doggie play yard.l. I first noticed her increased comfort level with being outdoors the day after we returned home. She just seemed more relaxed outside. Later, when we were inside, she ran into the screen door because she wanted to go outside (alone). I was surprised so I let her out and she played alone in the yard for the first time. Yeah! It's great to see this new relaxed side to her. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS KENNEL!
