I am no stranger to the difficulties of performing a de-shed and bath process to a Husky. Which is what I have (Mazy) 45 to 50lbs. Siberian. I brush her so she doesn't have matted fur nor does she have long hair for that to happen. She was coming into her summer coat so she had some fur tuffs sticking out before I gave her to this facility. I have taken her 2 times now to this place and each time she has came out damp and still shedding A Lot. Not impressed and not wasting my money on a subpar groomer. If you have any double coated pets I recommend Puppy Love. They do a way better job for a better price! Also FYI she is NOT a difficult dog to handle I've asked and they always say she's one of the easiest dogs! read more

We've been taking our 90 lb black lab, Bear, to Shear Delight for the past 5 years and they always do a great job for our dog. This last time was exceptional though. We asked for a wash and de-shedding as Bear started to blow his coat. Kenya did a phenomenal job and, honestly, I don't think his coat has ever looked this good before. Unfortunately I didn't take a before or after picture. His shedding is minimal currently which, if you've ever had a lab before, you know that's a huge deal. Thought I had a good groomer the owner when she groomed my dog did a. Excellent job but my dog got passed on to another worker first time was ok this last time was not . Sad to say I trusted them I did just a quick overall when I picked him up his snout or nose didn't look right to me but I was in a hurry picking him up . The following day I saw a mark on his elbow area and his nose hurt him . Treating his nose so it will heal . I leave a large tip so they should take care of my baby the pictures say it all . Needless to say I am done with shear delight groomers . End result brought what happened to owner's attention she denied it happened at groomers we got money back for last grooming but after being a customer since 2015 can't take another chance at hurting my buddy read more

I have a husky/Shephard and they do a great job with deshedding. Very reasonable. They are very friendly and great with my dogs. ​

We have taken our dog ther for years. The former owners knew our dog's issues. She has had her toenails cut too short in the past, causing bleeding. She has severe anxieties due to this. They were always able to deal with her and do a good job onher nails. Last time I took her in the groomer could not get the job done. My husband even tried to help and the groomer gave up. None of the other groomers came to help. We were told that they could not help us, when before it only took one groomer to deal with her. She is a small dog, so it should not have been that hard. So now we have to take her to a veterinarian to get her toenails done. read more

Staff was very rude, we took 2 shitzu, been there multiple times. When my boyfriend picked them up, he noticed they still had the old dog smell, paws were still brown. He went back inside to ask if they had been bathed, and got the cold shoulder like he was bothering them. Was told yes and then ignored. On the car ride home, he noticed that the seats were covered in dog hair. That has NEVER happened before after grooming. I then called manager Andrea and was told that they had done everything like normal. I went further in detail as to what we saw and concerns, she seemed like she did not care and was admit about doing the job well. I asked her if she thought i was lying because she was being very rude. wouldn't let me finish talking. I paid $65 for each dog. I believe we should of at least got an apology for not being satisfied. Had to go home and wash the dogs again so we can get rid of the smell and access hair from the groomers. Will NEVER take them back. Andrea, I hope you do not treat your other customers as you did us. Customer service is a BIG deal and you all have none. read more

I've taken my dogs to many places in California, and also in Yuma AZ.. This place overall was very kind and gentle to my toy poodle (he isn't easy to groom).. It's been some time since he's been groomed do to an incident in CA (caused a cut that required stitches) so he was extremely knotted, with that being said Shear Delight took good care of Coco. TL;DR version: GREAT place. Thoroughly impressed with my boys turn out. Quality, price, and obvious care given to my two can't be beat at any of the other places I've gone! Annoyingly detailed version: Well I could kick myself for not going to this groomer sooner! Had I known how great they were, I would have been coming here the past 3 years! I'm moving to San Diego in less than two weeks and needed my standard poodle and toy poodle cut for our new life on the beach. Sent a message from their site on Monday (when they were closed) asking when was the earliest I could get in for two, and bright and early the next morning I got a reply that they had a few openings Wednesday-Friday THAT week. Which is pretty much unheard of in this town. Especially as a new customer. I usually had to schedule two weeks out at other places. So I brought my two in on that Thursday at 11am. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place, friendly staff, annnnd the fact that the grooming tables are right there in broad daylight so you can see how they work with the dogs-which others I've gone to have the grooming tables hidden. They had multiple dogs up on tables and all seemed content and the ones being worked on were being handled super gently. Which was insanely reassuring for me since my toy is a bit of a handful when it comes to clippers (he turns into an earth quake machine with his shaking in fear...he also sings the song of his people while at it lol). I told them I wanted even summer cuts for their bodies and fluffier faces, not the typical shaved poodle face, and expressed that I wanted their feet shorter than their body length but if they could be careful and not go all the way down to skin with the feet since both my boys get rashes super easily with that. They seemed to get the picture even though my explanation probably sucked because I'm pretty inept in grooming terms lol. So I left expecting to get a call right before they closed that my two were done since most places I've gone to take alllll day, as in drop off at 7/8 in the morning, and pick up by 4. I've ALWAYS hated that because my dogs are our babies and them being penned that long makes me feel so guilty. So I was sooo impressed when I got the call around 2:30pm that they were done when I dropped them off at 11 and they had multiple dogs in front of my two that still needed done. HUGE PLUS. I mean really, that's amazing. So I came to pick them up, anxious to see how greatly silly they looked (I literally always laugh at my dogs when they get groomed. They don't even look like the same dogs lol. And how can you not laugh at hilariously fluffy ears?) and I was surprised that my toy wasn't barking like crazy as he usually does at other places. Both boys were surprisingly calm when they saw me and that definitely made me happy because clearly they were well taken care of and weren't acting their usual "GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE" way. But aside from their calmness, they looked absolutely great!!!! I was so happy. I would have preferred a little more fluffiness on my standards face, but the shorter hair looks great, clean, and is perfect for romping around the beach, so I didn't mind one bit. My standard has never looked so white! Or both have never been so soft and smelled so good. And both boys nails were so well trimmed and shorter than I thought possible, which is saying something because I was a total slacker dog mom and they had some serious mountain lion claws going in- oops. Not only that, but I was ridiculously happy about the price. $100 for both dogs combined. Worth every penny. I was expecting more since I read other reviews about them being expensive, but that's not expensive to me for good quality. And they actually have tipping option on the bill receipt which is great because other places I've gone to don't have that and I always forget to bring cash which has made it awkward when I have to skip it because there's no tipping option when paying with a card. I was already super impressed with the experience, but when I got home I was even more thrilled when I looked over my boys. Not one single knick of skin, rash, razor burn, or anything. They listened about the feet issue and both boys have short cut feet but not all the way down and absolutely no knicks or rashes (which has literally never happened before). And what I'm most impressed with are their ears! They've never had cleaner ears! Not only that, but they're not even acting like their ears have been cleaned and plucked. Usually both are shaking their heads for a day after because their ears are irritated/being tickled by stray hairs left behind, but neither one has shaken their head even once! This was definitely an AMAZING experience and I am soooo mad at myself for not coming here in the first place years ago! I'm half tempted to keep coming here even after moving to San Diego...Not even kidding! THANK YOU Shear Delight. It really was a delight. read more

Not happy at all !! We took our 2 dogs there to get washed and a simple trim. Our Sheepadoddle didn't look any better than when we took her in, her white hair was still a dingy off white and our small poodle will not even walk to go potty, something going on with his bum. The price was a little more expensive than the other groomers we looked at we decided we would try them out. 45 $ x 2 dogs. They staff had spelled our names wrong and those of the dogs. Should have been my first clue. While the cuts were not bad, they were not great. They did not really listen to what I wanted done, the paws were not done the way I asked or the hair length what I wanted. I'll have to cut the hair around their bottoms again. The look okay but not great. I'll find somewhere else next time. read more

I rarely give 5 stars, but this pet grooming establishment is top notch. Besides being handy to both Wal-mart and a laundromat, my dog got the best grooming he has ever had. He's a terrier mix and I've had him washed and cut many times at many different places. This time he came out looking fantastic! You could tell a professional clipped him and knew what they were doing. From now on I will only take him here when I am visiting Yuma. We have been walk-ins both times he's been there and there was no problem with that. The place is clean and well taken care of. I just can't say enough about this place. Three times I mentioned "Teddy Bear Cut". I have a Labradoodle, not a poodle. I also mentioned the same length all over. Picked my dog up and she looked like a sheared lamb. Comment was, 'you said same length all over." Teddy bear look, - same length all over, to sheared lamb look with a huge fluffy tail.
