I've looked at furniture all over town, including Meijer, Ollie's and used furniture from Facebook Marketplace, and so far I've been the most satisfied with Goodwill's selection. I purchased a tan 2x2 cube storage shelf, a five-tier dark wood bookshelf, and a light wood chair. All three pieces cost me only about $30 total and are in fair to good condition. I'm especially happy with the cube shelf. It's practically like new! I also love the elegant design of the chair. All of the furniture pieces are sturdy. I just needed to wipe them down since they had been sitting for a while and had accumulated some dust. A special thank-you to Amanda, who helped load all three furniture pieces into my car. She did an amazing job fitting everything in! I'll definitely keep coming back for furniture. When I visited, there was a decent selection available, although I do wish there were even more furniture options. The store carries a much larger selection of clothing than furniture. Overall, though, I had a great experience and found exactly what I needed at a fantastic price.

It wouldn't be the Fourth of July without a stop at Grandma's! This little independent fireworks…read moredepot is very well stocked and has been selling pyrotechnics for 33 years. The co-proprietors are Grandma Sheila and Grandma Chris. These ladies know their fireworks and have been blowing them off even longer than I have, and that's saying something. If you like fireworks you'll feel like a kid in a candy store here and if you behave, Grandma might even toss a little free explosive in your bag. All the good stuff is here, at a wide price range and variety, so you're bound to find stuff to fit your particular taste and budget. Easy parking on the property. They are open 10 am to 10 pm every day for the weeks leading up to July 4th, and noon to 8 for New Year's Eve, Memorial Day and Chinese New Year. Other times, just call Grandma and she'll artange to meet you at the shop. I love to shop small and local and it's great to do that for fireworks too. I recommend Grandma's.

However the workers are invariably friendly and able to help you find what you're looking for, even walking you over to the right area instead of just pointing. The parking lot's a little awkward and has a pothole that badly needs filling. If no one's at the counter they have a funny squeaky toy to signal...instead of a bell as a lot of places have. If you really can't wait a minute or two, there's a self-checkout (card only).

Standing around waiting to be helped is not annoying in itself but this place steps up the game a little by supplying you with a dirty dog toy that squeaks, which you are asked (by note) to squeeze when you need someone to help you. So for the second time I got to awkwardly stand up by the registers squeaking this dog toy all for me not to be helped. Hello?
