I really liked how Dr. Statler took time with me, he listened and didn't rush me to get to the next patient. He took X-rays and reviewed them with me explaining what my problem really was and options for treatment. He ended up taking molds of my feet to fit me for orthopedic insoles. I found that he and the rest of the staff were professional and courteous. Thanks to him I'm finally not in excruciating pain anymore. I would (and have) refer people to him. There are two locations to choose from, one in Beaufort and one in Bluffton.

He works…read moreoff of Greenwood just down the street now* No one wants to have medical issues when on vacation but when something has to be done, it's always good to make sure you know you have somewhere to go. Being on vacation in Hilton Head, I had zero clue. I've been coming to the island for years but never needed anything large or small. My girlfriend came with me for the first time and she had a minor ingrown toenail that exponentially grew to be very problematic. So much so that she couldn't walk without terrible sharp pains. She usually takes care of them herself but she said it was too deep to clip or felt like it had broken off and was wedged under the skin. There's literally no podiatrist on the island and if there is one they don't take new patients. Not even just off the island. Came across this place which is Dr. Patrick Jordan's primary office and an urgent treatment center as well that he operates out of. Pretty skeptical at first on expectations but a few things helped out: 1) Erin, nice lady who worked the front, was exceptionally nice and made sure to find the answer to all of our questions. She also gave proper expectations on wait time and allowed us to temporarily leave to grab food while we wait. Thank you! 2) Dr Jordan was very reassuring to us about how he can take care of the nail and no podiatrist is needed. He explained every step from numbing, to deep clipping, wrapping and next steps for when we leave. He used the same procedure to get rid of the problem as the podiatrist that worked on me years back which went exceptionally well. Dr Jordan for the nail out, cleaned the area, made sure there no infections starting and sent us on our way to enjoy the rest of our vacation. It's been a few days and the area is healing quite nicely; the pain has fallen significantly and she's able to be mobile like he said. If anyone needs any medical treatment that is not an emergency, Dr Jordans office is the place to go on the island.

Before ordering my orthodics they checked my insurance to make sure it was covered, it was approved as it always has been and the ordered them. I then got a bill for the full amount saying my insurance declined to pay! I called the insurance company and they said Physicians Footcare used the wrong billing code that they submitted something to do with an ankle. They told me to call the office, tell them to ask for the latest billing code. I called the office and they were useless and said to call billing. I called billing snd they said it was an office issue. I called the office back and they transferred me back to billing. So I explained they used the wrong code and needed to call the insurance. Their reply was "We don't need to call anyone, the insurance denied it and you signed a paper that said you would pay so pay your bill!" I told them the insurance did not refuse to pay for the orthodics they refused to pay for some stupid ankle thing you submitted! They said too bad you pay or we put you into collection. It says on the bill that if its incorrect mail a letter to a PO Box in Maine. I did that and got a bill only for the copay which I paid. 3 months later I get a bill for the full amount again and there is nobody to talk to. Stay far away from these scammers and by the way the practice itself does crap work since my Doctor left them.

Told me to put vitamin e on it and come back if it did not go away. Later called and wanted to have it cut out because nothing happened and its been there for years. They scheduled the removal and then called and canceled and said they needed preauthorization in which my insurance does not need. Recently had my tonsils and uvala removed earlier this year with no pre authorization needed. I called them back and they gave me the run around about how the lady handling me only works 2 days a week or something like that and I'll need to call back. I called today and asked and the rude lady on the phone told me he is opting out because of the reimbursement rates. I feel he is choosing money over helping people. I can't imagine a shot to numb a foot and to cut out a wart is going to cost big time money. Take your business elsewhere.
