First, this guy is open sporadically, He doesn't have regular hours here. Secondly, he just cuts and sends you on your way. No talcum, witch hazel or whatever. You really need that stuff, as trimming the neck causes a bit of irritation. He just stops cutting and says, "you're done." Also, the haircutting is simply better at Johnny's. One annoying thing is that Jim just cuts in silence. I guess he's one of those local merchants, like Peck's, who aren't very friendly if you're not a local. Johnny's has two barbers and its hours are more reliable. Also they are more pleasant, treat you like a human being (not a hunk of meat), and give you the usual barber shop finishing touches.

However, yesterday, I urgently required a haircut for an upcoming event, compelling me to make an exception. While there are competent barbers here, there are also instances of inconsistency, and I am once again deeply disappointed with the services I received. This time, not only was my haircut compromised, but my beard was as well. I should not have to verbally express my desired haircut if you are going to take matters into your own hands. I explicitly requested that the top of my hair be left long, allowing me to style it either back or forward and have it curl up. Unfortunately, the first chop of the scissors was all that was needed to cause the irreversible damage. After that point, there was no returning my hair. I had accepted my hair's fate, but I am beyond distraught. The same was done for my beard i stated keep it long just round it out more than an half of my beards length was removed. I have been purposely growing my hair out for a long time months maybe even 1+ years by now and this ignorant barber incapable to follow simple directions ruined my hair that I have dedicated a lot of time and effort into. The barber cut my hair short that I cannot style it without extensive preparation. I witnessed the challenge he faced to achieve the desired result while I was in his chair, and I will never be able to replicate it. Consequently, I am left with a botched job. I did not catch the barber's name, but when you enter, Manny is the first chair, followed by a girl, and then the barber with who gave me the botched haircut. Be wary of this filth.
