I've been here twice for minor problems. Both times were a good experience and I was seen quickly…read more This was especially appreciated because one of those times I only had a small window of time to get in and out before I had to return to work. The staff did everything they could to make sure I could get treated promptly and get back on my way. The clinic doesn't have the equipment or facilities to treat more serious injuries but for your run-of-the-mill problems like minor infections, illnesses, or sprains this clinic would be my first choice any day because I can get in and out so much faster than I ever could at, say, the family medicine clinic at the nearby medical university. The only turn-off for me with this clinic is there is a lot of Christian or Bible-themed plaques and sayings posted around the clinic. I believe in treating the 'whole person' and in the valuable role one's spirituality (if applicable) can play in healing. However, when only one faith or religion is represented it implies that in the eyes of the staff there is the only 'right' belief system, and that does not feel welcoming to patients who do not share those beliefs. If a clinic is going to post such things on its walls, I believe it is more appropriate to post inspirational quotes from a -diverse- array of faiths or spiritual leaders so as to communicate respect for the diverse array of clients that walk through your doors.

Walk-ins not welcome…read more Apparently they switched from walk-ins welcomed to "by appointment only". They just forgot to tell everybody. Besides, on paper they look like they have not been open in 6 years or just simply not review worthy. Maybe after a few more "by appointment only" patients, they can afford to update their door signs and street sign. It's a scratch.

It's been a nightmare from Day One…read more Dr. Ironside was an incredibly intelligent, efficient, quick doctor who actually seemed like he was listening. Dr. Bao was really great as well, and took my case with literally no appointment because the schedulers screwed everything up. LITERALLY everything else has been completely horrid. Our first appointment with an endocrinologist wound up getting cancelled the day of with no phone call from anyone. We drive from Greers Ferry so we got there after a two-hour drive only to be told the appointment was cancelled and the doctor had already left. Luckily, the patient care person (also seemed to care about patients) was able to snag the other endo who was in the building and he was actually able to see me. Also a pretty great doctor, honestly. Then it all went downhill. Yep, even further. I had to get a lumbar puncture, and had to call and pester the doctor's office for TWO WEEKS to get a phone call back. Let me be accurate: the test was on a Wednesday, I finally got a call the Monday before it would have been two weeks. I called to see about pain meds for the day or two after the LP: no answer. No pain meds. No relief. No F&ks given, clearly. During all this, I went ahead and sent my doctors my history with a timeline, because my shit is complex. We're talking endocrine (secondary adrenal insufficiency), neurological (intracranial hypertension and some other minor things, empty sella etc), and also autoimmune (celiac, sarcoidosis, and autoimmune hepatitis all biopsy-confirmed, as well as lupus and RA); sending this info is helpful. See again: complex case. Zebra, not horse. Rather than any follow-through or any communication amongst specialists (or even with me, the patient) despite my many requests for such I've been ignored, told I was hostile (because the girl doesn't know the difference between hostile and frustrated, the idiot) HUNG UP ON when I asked for a supervisor, and neglected. The standard of care here is zero. Go there if you want to actually die from neglect in a first-world country. Ooh, especially fun if you like wanting to punch someone through the phone. Good times.

I got the feeling she did not know what she was doing They took everyone back (except 1 person) before me that arrived AFTER me Editing to add- because this provider was extremely incompetent I had to go to a different urgent care the next day. I was struggling to breathe even though my pulse ox showed a good result. Today I saw a provider at a different urgent care (Chenal urgent care is the place to go to)that listened and cared. He did a chest X-ray that showed really bad bronchial inflammation and gave me a steroid shot. I do not recommend Baptist urgent care even if you think you are dying. They do not care. They are incompetent. Also, someone who works there smells horribly of cigarette smoke. It was floating around everywhere. I know it's an employee bc they came into our room to turn off the machine that was making our room freezing cold and when she came in we got the horrible cigarette smoke smell again

UAMS Health - Simon C. Mears, M.D. - Orthopaedic Hospital…read more Dr Mears is an excellent surgeon. I'm very grateful he did my left hip replacement after I fell. He was precise and I have zero complaints. I would recommend him to anyone. Dr. Mears staff at UMAS Orthopedic Hospital were wonderful. Every one except the APRN were great. The APRN I believe was on a power trip and wanting to show me who was in control. She did nothing to help me and was very condescending to me every time she was in the room. However the Techs, Nurses and Dieticians were amazing. Such great people and very helpful. The nurse in the recovery room was awesome. She even came to see me the next evening in my room. I totally felt blessed to have the complete staff that I had. I wish I could remember all the names because they deserve recognition. I recommend UAMS Orthopedics Hospital 100%. Sarah my last Nurse was so helpful in finding me a pain Med that wouldn't lower my BP when the APRN wanted to give me low dose Toradol which does nothing for pain. Nurse Sarah went above and beyond to find something that was truly helpful at least for almost 3 hours. It was tough having no pain meds for many hours but I made it.

I asked her what was I supposed to do now being I just drove over 120 miles to get there, she said she didn't know I could wait or reschedule another appointment so I waited another two hours and finally said hell with it and left. He had the odacity to actually bill my insurance for me not waiting! I had to book an appointment with baptist health neurosurgery clinic to which I will see August 25th. Not impressed find another hospital to handle your spinal problems
