The music performance that day kind of sucked but I guess it just wasn't to my taste since everyone else seemed to like it. It was muggy and overcrowded where we were sitting and there was an approaching thunderstorm. That made the fireworks all the more enjoyable since there was flashes of light behind distant clouds as the fireworks themselves were going off. The fire works themselves weren't too shabby at all! I loved the end where they went crazy and just unloaded everything.. a good minute or two. My nieces loved the smiley faced fireworks. The reason it got four and not five stars was because it was way too overcrowded.

First the service rude and inattentive bartenders who know nothing of their products. It feels like they went out of their way to get to most excruciatingly uncomfortable seating ever made. All metal backless stools? The music since opening has been sun par at best. The menu was over hyped and over priced. Pretty sad cause they should have just left it alone if they were going to wreck the vibe.

The PCA hosts plays, art shows, contradances, jazz, blues and rock concert series, teen talent showcases, open mikes and much more. Most of this activity is thanks to the efforts of dozens of dedicated volunteers. Even the renovation required to rehab this old 19th century parish hall was a volunteer effort.

This is a great opportunity to kick off summer on the beach. Rain or shine, it's indoors. Plenty of…read moreparking and a full bar. Food by Seaglass Restaurant was the stand out! You get 5 tickets with admission and can buy more tickets. Each sampling is one ticket. Good sized portions so you don't leave hungry, but don't get too full. There are beer distributors too like Goose Island and others to sample different products. They had Korean spice pulled pork sandwiches, Wagyu brisket tacos, chicken and waffles, and mac and cheese TOO DIE FOR! A couple other snacks and drinks. My favorite was the Sirachi chicken wings with ranch dressing and Belgium waffles! The waffles were perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside, but properly cooked on the inside. Tender, and no raw dough! Drizzled with maple syrup. The waffles themselves stood on their own with good flavor, but the sweet/hot connection was excellent! Music more appropriate for cocktail hour played while the food booths were open and people socialized. But at 8:30, the lights turned down and a full show of musicians entertained until closing. Parker Wheeler, known from his Sunday night residency at the Grog in Newburyport hosted A-list musicians. Toni Lynn Washington headlined with features of Ricky King Russell, Johnny Blue Horn, and New Orleans' own, Amadee Castenell. A must see and be seen at event for next year!

Once a year the Atkinson Fire Department hosts a car show on their property. There is a variety of…read morevehicles from 57 Chevys, muscle cars, military jeeps, etc. There is something for everyone! The event is free and donations are accepted for parking. The town has scarecrows for sale for $25.00 to then decorate with your own theme and display on your property for the upcoming Fall season. The fire department personnel had burgers, hot dogs, chili, chips and drinks for sale. The lions club were selling fresh made fries and sausage and peppers. Everything was delicious and all the funds go towards the department. It's a worthy cause and entertainment that brings you outside and a way to enjoy some really cool cars!
