Went in on a Sunday evening for my three year old daughter that had a rhinestone stick in her ear. The emergency waiting room was filthy dirty. I mean filthy! Hospital room within the emergency center was filthy dusty dirty. Stains on the floor, hair on the bed. (Etc) Nurse that saw my 3 year old daughter jammed the rhinestone in further after telling me she could get it out with no problem at all. Doctor on call didn't initially believe there was anything in her ear until I showed him the picture of what it looked like before the "nurse" jammed it so far in it could no longer be seen. Tried to contest the bill for emergency room services since no service was provided and my daughter ended up needing surgery to remove the rhinestone. Hospital management reviewed the case and deemed the night a success and the nurse provided commensurate care to my daughter. Absolute joke of a hospital. Spend an extra 20 minutes in the car and go to Boston. read more

Excellent pre-registration process, fantastic communication with loved ones when heading to surgery, caring doctors, and an absolutely wonderful staff. The doctors, nurses, volunteers, and everyone in between were kind, helpful, supportive, and genuinely empathetic. I had outpatient surgery and it was as good of an experience as I could imagine or hope for. read more

All wait times are atrocious, which is why I hate Emergency departments, but I am satisfied with the treatment my family and I received. On Tuesday night, I had to rush my toddler in to get stitches. From pre-registration all the way to discharge, everything ran smoothly. I want to show Aaron (RN) & Madison W. (PA) some praise because wow! The way they handled my screaming toddler during treatment was amazing. Their patience blew me away! Also, Madison has some mean sewing skills. The needle she used was almost too small for me to see. Clearly not anywhere near enough doctors in the er they don't seem to mind keeping you waiting for hours and hours

Hi, I ended up on December 1, 2024 couldn't breathe. Turns out I had pneumonia and blood clots in my lungs .. whenever they give me a never had me run out my mouth and they were giving me a steroid. Needless to say I caught thrush . my IV ,I complained about for 3 to 4 days kept checking on it, i was told it was fine even with the extreme pain.the third day I asked them to take out .. turns out they gave me cellulitis in my arm. Last but not least they gave me codeine medicine with some cough syrup, which was clearly on my record strike three you're out. read more

Ive read alot of the reviews for Saints Memorial & I wanted to say Ive had the best experience with them. Im used to my Boston hospital but I needed gallbladder surgery quickly & dealt with a local recommended surgeon. Saints staff has been friendly & efficient. I dont think people give medical staff enough credit for the hard work they do during a trying time for everyone. Patience & understanding is in too short a supply from patients. A smile & a thank you for all their hard work goes a long way. read more

Two on the nursing staff Third floor, room 329) were excellent and compassionate care. The RN who was outstanding and so helpful with information about my CHF and COPD that hadn't been explained to me in laymens terms before. She also was able to help me understand all the new and prior meds and their interactions. Nurse Casey is the best. A young nurse from India is soon to be able to pass her exams and be an RN here in Lowerr. She is already a trained medical nurse with a great compassion and love for her patients. Took such excellent care of me even when it was so busy. Her first name is Archi. Archi deserves a medal. When we were leaving and she brought me to the curb my husband tried to tip her but she gave the money to a homeless woman sitting on the bench. If I could give MINUS infinity stars I would! I go in at the advice of my doctor. Pain in my chest etc... They take me VERY last of all the people in the waiting room....guess they were REAL worried about my chest pain. I finally get in there, I'm lying on a dirty bed. There is a PUBIC hair on my sheet. I should have snapped a picture. The gurney was soooo uncomfortable, there are no words. All my blood work, chest X-ray & ekg come back normal yet they want to keep me overnight because there is a SIGNIFICANT chance I'm going to go home and have a heart attack. Ok...based on what?????? So I try to leave and it's one excuse after another. Meanwhile, there is a DEAD body up against the wall that was not properly covered so his arm is hanging off the bed and half his face is showing (blue btw) for all to see. There's a woman screaming in hysterics (different and unrelated to the dead man), people are coughing and sicker then anything I've seen in my life. So, they want me to stay but oh yea....we have no beds. So you have to stay the night in the ER on this super uncomfortable gurney with your pubic hair sheet and these brighter then bright lights blaring down on you. We don't care your tailbone is killing or that you have fibromyalgia. You're staying. Like hell I am. Nurse comes over and tells me doctor has his foot up on his desk. I ripped off all my stuff and went storming out of there. Ummmmm bye bye Saints. I'd rather die of my "heart attack" tonight in the privacy of my own home then be anywhere near you ever again. read more

Don't know which one's worse, this location or the original. Why are all of the employees just so rude and unfriendly? I get that they have to deal with multiple patients every day, but their attitudes don't help with wanting to return. Everyone's better off going to a different hospital that will show you some respect and one where the employees aren't so miserable. read more

Bad experience. Husband went in with blood clots in legs. Saw nurse practitioner . She did call for cat scan and determined there were blood clots in lungs. She told us he would need to stay over night. Then the nightmare began. He was brought back to emergency room to wait for room. After 7 hours and some complaining we finally got to see a dr. Nurse came and gave us dunkin donut gift card to apologize for how bad the care was. The place was quiet most of staff on computers. After 9 hours (now midnight) we were told they had no beds in hospital and it would b safer if he went to Boston hospital. Had to b transferred to Boston via ambulance. They should have sent us to Boston hours earlier. Lots of homeless in the ER sleeping comfortably. Too bad for the rest of the patients. Unless you are uninsured or homeless. Having gone to Saints for years prior to the LGH take over, I figured I'd go this time when I found myself in sudden debilitating pain due to an abscessed tooth. Admittedly I was aware of the merger. And have never found LGH to be competant. The 2 times I have gone for my own medical needs I had horrible experiences. The many times I have gone with or to visit others I was even more horrified. NEVER would I recommend LGH to anyone. It sickens me that they are still in business, let alone taking over other hospitals. Since the merger has only been a couple of months I thought the LGH influence wouldn't exist yet. I was so wrong. I will start with a couple of surprisingly positive things. The triaging, waiting and registration seems very efficient. They come into the exam rm while you wait to go over reg info. And have a walk in clinic like area so you can be seen by a NP fairly quickly. 1 nurse out of 3 I know of was very good. The other 2 were very interested in discussing their vacations. The rest of the experience was classic LGH style treatment. Carlos N Flopes, NP was the worst clinician I have dealt with in yrs. He did not listen to anything I told him. Having come down with this pain on my way home from work. (Which was 12 hrs of horse farm work.) I did not look my best. He made no effort to hide the fact that he judged me on appearance and thinks I am seeking pain killers. And the fact that this is something I have had before he was certain that was my intention. Even after explaining that I was saving up for & making advanced pmts to a dentist for the proper treatment, he still refused to truly help me. I know how sensitive I am to certain pain meds due to not being a regular user and having an ulcer. I tried to explain what was effective in the past from trial & error and what I needed immediately so I could go to work in what was now just a few hours. He made me wait in hellacious pain for hours because I refused to leave with Rx strength Aleve. I told him that stuff has never taken pain away for me. While waiting I heard him give a nurse a very dangerous answer regarding syrups and solutions. Which if mixed that way would kill someone. He sent a baby home with a 101+ degree fever, directions to a mom who didn't understand what he said and another man in a rm next to me who had been waiting longer than I was and he didn't even question why he had no info on him. This guy was clearly not qualified to be doing his job. I'd hate to see if it was busy. Not sure if this is going to be the new standard of care for this hospital, but I won't be going back to find out. If you like medical staff who are either just out of school and seem to have very little decent mentoring, are burnt out orbsimply do not care. This is the place for you. If you feel like being treated like a drain on society. This is the place for you. If you like suffering. This is the place for you. Should you seek good medical treatment you will have to travel a little farther now. LGH has ruined a decent hospital. read more

Came to the hospital today April 26th, I was visiting one of my friends who was admitted here last night for a severe injury. Not only was the lady behind the front desk unhelpful she was extremely rude, abrasive, unpleasant, ect. Finally someone else came down and helped me locate my friend after she told me again and again he was not there. Please take a good look at your employees especially in such a place that people are already stressed, upset and distraught. The last thing we should be dealing with is a rude lady behind the front desk that is there to help you and make your unwanted visit as smooth as possible. read more
