My masseuse was Kenzi and she was so kind and made sure she knew what I wanted and where I had pain and what section of my back I don't like touched. My massage was 50 minutes and it was SO GOOD! I felt so relaxed and ready for my week after getting a massage. They also have scent boxes where you can pick your scents and in the rooms you can pick the music. However, the experience was entirely ruined when I went to leave a tip upon exiting. I said to leave $10 on my card - which is a perfectly reasonable 17% tip on a service that costs $60. To that, my therapist flatly responded "No, that's not enough" and entered $20 instead. When I objected, she pulled out a "suggested tips" placard from behind the counter indicating that $15 was the suggested tip amount for a 60-minute massage. However, she hastened to add, "Only women leave me $15, if you are a man, you leave $20." I was dumbstruck, and frankly I should have grabbed my card right then and there and walked out due to her rudeness. But, due to the awkwardness of the situation, instead I only reiterated that I wanted to leave $10. In a huff, she entered $11 (not $10) and completed the transaction before I could stop her. Wanting to extricate myself from this incredibly uncomfortable situation as quickly as possible, I made no further argument and turned to leave. I now have 8 months of built up massages on my account (well over $800 of prepaid ) when I asked for options to pause my monthly member ship the owner kept repeating "per your agreement" at me as a way to tell me he would not consider accommodating my situation. They have cancelled another appointment on me again this month, I can't get me in more than once a month to use those massages, they continue to charge me monthly for more massages but if I pause or cancel my membership I lose access to my credits. BIG SCAM if you ask me. If I can just find a way to use the credits or get a refund, I will never go back to this place again. posting in case I can save someone else the trouble.
