It is a lovely place with beautiful plants and trees (some very old), and interesting old architecture to explore. The trails that we took were clearly marked and easy. After the walk we sat at the covered tables socializing and recounting parts of our adventure to a new friend that we found sitting there upon our return. We had a great time.

There's plenty of parking leading up to the huge playground and lots of places to sit and watch your little ones. It was clean and looked safe with tons of different levels to explore. Beyond the jungle gym is a baseball diamond and a large amount of Greenspace to hangout. Not a lot of shade but we did find a nice spot down the hill to paint pumpkins. The grass was neatly mowed and kept up well! Bonus points for trash cans spread throughout the playground. Highly recommend! I may even bring my own kiddo if we are ever in the area!

This offers a view of the freeway. In spite of this it's still an okay place to walk around. The park is pretty safe. It looks like a good place for a walk or just playing around. It's only bad thing is the observation area that lacks stuff to observe. This is a pretty nice park overall.

While the entire Cincinnati riverfront is gorgeous, we couldn't find a place that was covered where we could eat. As we were driving by we saw this park! Parking was $5 and the park was empty except for our party. The bridge provided covering from the rain and there were many picnic tables surrounding the park. The play structure is made out of trex building material and included LOTS of elements for our kids to play. Swing set, monkey bars, climbing rope, etc. the ground is squishy. There is a good amount of noise from the cars driving over the bridge overhead, but it was a sweet spot to eat lunch and let the kids work off some steam.

It's also great for birding, and I often see people playing frisbee, walking their dogs, or just enjoying a peaceful walk. The native plants and flowers are so well maintained, and there are so many little tucked away spots where you can sit with friends or a partner and enjoy a quiet, private moment. On Sundays in the summer a musician plays the carillon bells in the tower for about an hour in the afternoon. Bring some blankets, lay in the sun, and watch the clouds while you listen to the carillon. Behind the playground is a ravine and a hiking trail. Take the stairs down to the old boat house. This seems to be a popular spot to take engagement pictures and senior pictures. From there follow the trail into the woods and along the creek. It's a great place to take your kids to learn about trees, bugs, and other outdoorsy things. The trail does not go very far before the creek makes a sharp left turn and it becomes difficult to go further. We wandered around for a while trying to find the continuation of the trail, but it seems that it ends at the bend in the creek. From there you backtrack to the park. This park is within walking distance of our house, so on our way home we pass through the Mariemont square and always get some ice cream from Graeters. A great way to end any afternoon. It can be hard to find this park, but Mariemont has put a sign pointing the way in the median on Wooster Pike.

During our visit the majority of the equipment was in good working order. Parts of the playground were flooded due to recent rains. There were still plenty of areas to play on. Some spinning thing kept my middle child entertained while the older one was part of the clean up. We came to do a trash clean up, and boy did we have our work cut out for us. We cleaned what we could, but had to leave due to poor weather. Masks, cigarette butts, and beer bottles/cans were the items we found the most of. There was plenty of other trash too. Most of it was along the paved paths, and the edges of the playground.

The basketball court is in bad shape, it's needing a resurface so please be careful there. It also collects overflow of water from the train tracks and is kind of nasty in the back of the court. When the restrooms are open there is never toilet paper in them. So if you are going to spend some time hereC be prepared for that. The courts are usually full of litter, unfortunately people don't clean up after themselves. My toddler enjoys the play areas! Despite the issues we still enjoy coming here.
